I am an educator and this school year was absolutely the most mentally, emotionally, and professionally challenging. I am definitely burnt out. I usually work during the summer to try and stay ahead of the bills because teachers don't make very much, but this summer, it's just not in me. There are so many places in Atlanta n surrounding area to visit for a mini vacation. You can go to the zoo(it’s free if u get the pass from the library). Maybe u can do a video at fernbank- the kids love it there or the aquarium (free admission on ur birthday). Savannah not too far n have beautiful beaches. There is the Amicalola Falls State Park & Lodge which is wheelchair accessible. Callaway Gardens has a beautiful butterfly center n it is also wheelchair accessible.

Malaika is smart as a whip. If you point at something she's going to look. If she hears a noise she's going to turn around. She talks well. She doesn't have issues with most foods.That's less of an issue than walking than if your mind is not there. Malaika is a champ.

It’s really hard to catch your breath these days. I think all the social media (and I am aware I’m on it right now too) can be too much sometimes. Also the amount of negativity in this world atm pushes people beyond and causes burnout. There are also not enough hours in the day to get everything done that needs to be done, and that’s without a 2 year old. I hope you guys catch up on some good solid E’s (energy) soon
