We made a quick trip south to Austin to deliver one of our puppies to her new humans, and while we were there, we made a stop in to Trader Joe's! We don't have a Trader Joe's in Waco, so this was definitely a treat for me.

I have several friends that are gluten intolerant. I've heard their stories of trying to find good tasting items. No Trader Joe's near me...about 3 hours away.
The struggle is real! 😊
The most frustrating part is shopping gluten free. It takes forever especially when you’re new to having to buy gluten free. I think companies should be required to list it on the label. Sometimes Trader Joe’s doesn’t.
My favorites from TJ is plantain chips and chocolate hummus. I need to go back and write down some of your finds to add to my list to try.

Hi Brandy, I was diagnosed with celiac almost two months ago, and it is hard, especially if you don't live near a larger city. I have no idea where the closest Trader Joe's is for me. I did watch your video where you made bread for your family, you must have trouble working around regular flour, also when you were diagnosed did go out and buy all new plastic and silicone utensils. How about pot, and pans? Do you keep all your GF items separated from your family's food? I joined a couple Facebook support groups, and my GI specialist said I shouldn't have done that because you don't know what to believe on those support groups.
I'm gluten intolerant and I have several family members who have celiacs. I think it's easiest to keep a separate space for your foods so you don't have to worry about cross contamination. As you go along you will figure out what that means for you. In my case, I bought a mini waffle maker for myself (I can make grilled sandwiches, vegetables AND waffles in it). I also keep my own jar of peanut butter, jam, butter and other things that people might dip into when they touch bread or other foods with gluten. My favorite kitchen item that helps to keep everything separate is a little air fryer that looks like an oven. I can use it to make toast, gf pizza and so many other things while I use my regular oven to make food for the rest of my family simultaneously. Best of luck! I know it's overwhelming at first, but there are lots of great resources available to help you along the way.
I am not that careful…meaning I don’t have separate dishes and utensils. I don’t mix them up while using them and just wash well. It works for me. 😊

Your haul makes me want to take a trip to TJ’s, however, it probably won’t be until in late September or even mid October. (I hate not having my steady income year round. The way my school district is for classified I don’t get paid during the summer.)
Hi Brandy, just saw a notification that Trader Joe’s is recalling the snickerdoodle cookies you bought. Possible plastic pieces in the cookies. Check your package for the affected codes just to be safe.

Between searching for tasty gluten free products and Evan’s limited food choices, grocery shopping must be extremely difficult and expensive for you. Add to those requirements just buying enough food for growing teens, and this could be a full time job In itself especially if you do not live in or near a large city with lots of store options.
I applaud your diligence and commitment to making sure every family member has his/her nutrition needs met. I do also notice the many times you mention that you bought a certain product because it was either requested by someone or you thought they would enjoy it.
Let’s not forget the dogs, puppies, goats, chickens, and whatever other animals that are expecting daily meals, too.
Shopping at 4,5,6 stores every month is way more than many parents are willing to do. Your family is so very fortunate to have you in their corner. God certainly knew where to place every member of your family whether by birth or choice.

I made the mistake of freezing the gfree refrigerator ravioli (the package says not to, stamped right on the front)…when I went to boil them after removing from freezer, they immediately broke apart and I was left with a pot of mush. Bummer.

I’m impressed that you feel comfortable spending extra money for your gluten free. I’m too frugal . I’d just eat meat and veggies. I really don’t like sweets so that helps.

I've found a good amount of the Trader Joe's older items that are gluten free don't have that written on pkgs. Label reading there is important.

Our favorite thing at Teadwrs Joe's is frozen orange chicken. It is $4.99. Not gluten free.

Commented on one of your videos before and I’m not sure if you saw it but I was just wondering if you have ever tried Thrive Market? It’s an online market and you were able to choose gluten free keto Paleo any of those and it will list only those items and ships straight to your door
