Poor baby all you wanna do is wrap your arms around this woman cus she was so heartbroken 😞
There is no other female singer who sang with the passion & emotion that Phyllis had. She is missed but will never b 4gotten 😢😢
I still remember the day she died, I was in a barber shop getting my hair cut and they announced it on the radio, the same day she was to do a show with the Wispers. As a man I sat there getting my hair cut fighting back tears... I was really upset she was one of my favorite singers...
Today is my 61st birthday and I am listening to Phyllis Hyman.
✊🏿I Could Actually Listen To Phyllis Sing Everyday All Day For The Rest Of My Life.
Magical, is the word that I feel best describes the melodic sound of the legendary artist Phyllis Hyman. Although she’s long left this earth, her classic music remains timeless, like vintage wine that keeps getting better with time. Missed deeply, but May Phyllis Hyman never be forgotten.
She's a rare( JEWEL) that will always be in my heart.
The Answer was her Beautiful songs. RIP wonderful sis ❤
I HAD THE CHANCE TO LIVE IN THE SAME BUILDING AS SHE , IN PARK PRINCESS CONDOS ON LOGAN CIRCLE IN MY HOMETOWN IN D.C. AS HER MGR RESIDED THERE AS WELL AND I WOULD HAVE MANY TALKS WITH PHYLLIS AS MY FRIEND PERSONAL TRAINER STEVE HAYES WAS SECRETLY GETTING HER IN SHAPE FOR HER BIG COMEBACK PERFORMANCES SCHEDULED IN THE MID TO LATE NINETIES, NEVER FORGET RIDING IN CAR ON THAT SAME STREET LISTENING TO WHUR WHEN THEY ANNOUNCED SHE DIED NEEDLESS TO SAYI WAS NO MORE GOOD FOR A LONG TIME AFTER THAT . YOU CONTINUE TO REST EASY MY BEAUTIFUL TALENTED QUEEN !!!!!
African-American musical's beautiful goddess of song and emotion.
I saw this amazing woman several times at jazz clubs in NY and DC she will be missed. That voice just makes your heart melt.
There are some songs that should never be touched again because they can't be improved upon-- this is one of them. Her voice, sincerity and range of emotion make this song the shining gem that it is and I really miss her whenever I hear it.
Love you Phyllis!!!! Gone but not forgotten....
Phyllis Hyman truly knew how to sing a story - classic Phyllis! ♥️🎶
I have the honour of seeing Phyllis many times on stage and she was singing only to me. My favorite all time female singer
