I’m super curious to hear - what features would you like to see developers add to the G1s? *Grab yours here* geni.us/SSP-EvenRealities (Check for Black Friday Deals!)
Really appreciate the long-term review (so few channels bother), and the honesty about what caused them to be shelved. The open sourcing of these has the potential to be huge for their functionality; love how much Even Realities is listening to the community with these. I finally pulled the wallet-trigger and bought a pair of the (newly branded) G1A's
I'm intrigued by these glasses, even considering the limited functionality. The dealbreaker is the price, though. Not for the glasses themselves, which although slightly in the high end, could be worth it depending on your use cases, but for the prescription lenses. For regular driving glasses (I'm slightly nearsighted) it's double up, and for progressive lenses (I'm beginning to experience trouble reading close up) it's tripple the price. Nearly 2,000 € is simply asking too much for what these glasses offer!
cant wait to play Pong Deluxe on my g1, sitting in the bus and looking up and down to move the player or touch to jump in some endless runners/flappy frame and stuff but the nosepads are very uncomfy and it makes red marks on my nose, the frame was sqquezing my head hard like a coconut.... its a lil better after going to my glasses optician but still hurts /: maybe more for masochist like people in the moment.
Make a useful translation app (app language data saved on the phone not the cloud and accessible / functional off line) that is NOT subscription based. Then I will buy. Glad no camera!
Thanks for the review, I consider buying them anyway because I think I could implement something cool with them. Would you mind to provide answers for these questions please? 1. Is it possible to set up different language for quick notes than English? 2. How long does the battery lasts? 3. Do they get warm (I had such case with XReal AR glasses)? 4.Do temples make pressure when you just wear the glasses?
600$ for the blindversion +.+ without your prescription, you need to pay 150$ extra for the correct version, dont make the wrong choice or 600$ are wasted.
@@zombos22222 I checked with my local optician (official purveyor) yesterday. Regular prescription lenses are another 600 and progressive lenses are 1,200 on top of the 600 for the basic glasses. No chance in h*ll...
So what you're saying is these will be ok late next year or 2026. Yet the ridiculous thing is Google Glass was even better five years ago but the fuckwits at Google shut it down. If they'd continued iterating they would be ubiquitous by now.
@SpencerScottPugh Yes I found they didn't make anything easier for me. I have the Rayban Meta and find they are way more intuitive and feature rich in comparison. I have the Inmo air 2 which are heavy but give you more functionality than the G1. I think these are great for £200 mark. Anything more is just gimmicky.

The open source is actually so good!!!
It's literally giving people freedom to do new stuff. Awesome
100%! 🙌🏻

Nice Matt! Hope you enjoy them. Thanks for the feedback on the long term review. Might be part of my overall strategy for 2025. Appreciate you! 🙌🏻
I don’t care about the text feature. I mostly just want it for the teleprompter then the language feature and last the maps.
I just wish they didnt announce the square frames right after I ordered mine lol
Haha noooooo!
Might wanna try this one since I've seen the comments that the battery life is good
How was the sizing of the glasses, do they fit smaller or larger?
Welp, I have a big head lol and they are smaller on me but not laughably so
@ thanks for the information, I’ve been looking at the G1 frame B, which are noticeably larger, and I plan on buying those
@ nice!!
@@SpencerScottPugh if or when the glasses get updated with more features, do you think you would consider reviewing the G1 B frame?

Its better to get them now cuz believe me once developers start releasing apps on them the prices are gonna just go up of them

Something to keep in mind is meta will go all out with AR glasses in 2027 and will be leaps and bounds superior than these. This is for enthusiast.
But you'll be handing your personal data to the devil...
@ You do everyday you use your phone but that’s another subject. Doesn’t stop me from enjoying the AR on quest 3 for example.
Cool, I plan to get one but with pervious tech glasses I had got some battery issues, long term, anything like that come across anyone?
Not yet! 3 months in still good 👍
The battery life is fantastic! I haven't dropped below 50% during a regular day of use. To be clear, that is without any charging throughout the day.
I learned my lesson about buying on potential.
Oooof what product? One of these ai devices??
I have these glasses and they are not as great as you are making them seem. I waited over a month to get them. The glasses are not functional.
Right… but did you watch the part about them opening up the code? They’re about to become way more functional 😂 hold on to em!!
but $600 is quite expensive
I would agree. Cool that they are adding more features though! Becomes more and more worth it the more you are able to do with them!
There are ordinary glasses that cost 400 to 600 just for fashion, at least these glasses are extra functional.
@bazanime 🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻

Trying to buy it for cheating in exam while my phone will be a bit away? Will my AI answers my mcq?
I just paid 900 euros for these lol
Ah, was waiting for this video, thought it'd be more negative, so glad it's not!
Pretty exciting update that has me interested for sure! 🙌🏻
just another guy behind a desk, talking while waving their hands. Is 2025, it helps a little visuals, demo, real-time view, etc
Good point
They are rubbish and in no way productive
