My local arcade had one of these back in the day (tho' I don't know for certain if it was actually a "Namco" crapo-cab) which ran a hacked PS1 that could run anything from DDR 3rd Mix to 5thMix (and I do remember one time they put ExtraMix on it). Thing was disgusting as heck inside with all the dust and cables dangling but it was the only DDR cab nearby.
Amazing result! It almost seemed like a completely new build really because everything but the metal stuff was basically gutted and the panels typically are the things that give pads a different appearance overall.
I was working part time in a Namco arcade at the time and man was this hot feces. Funny enough, a bunch of the regulars and the manager of the arcade were like “nah, man, it’s just a cool, new, Extreme game 🤦🏻♂️
Dude absolutely awesome job man! Would you or anyone you know be interested in working on a travel pad? I'd be more than down to pay for all the materials and labor!
Wow! That's impressive. I'm curious if your teensy code can be use with 16 x 16 WS2812B led matrix? I'm not really good in coding, I hope you can help me.
Question...are the bars actually pretty dense and heavy for their size? Or are they very thin metal and lightweight? Basically are they pretty durable?
This video is from last year, so not sure if you'll see or read this. I've recently been trying to figure out a way to get an at home metal pad for less than 1 arm/1leg/1 firstborn. Have you DIY yourself more pads or if you don't use it and its taking up space would you be willing to part ways with it? I live near Chicago and could probably borrow an suv to transport it, or would you be willing to make one for me if I commissioned it? Or does anyone know anyone in the area who has an extra pad or cab/doublepad they would be willing to sell.. the ltek shipping cost makes it outlandish
I was not ready for what was under those panels, absolutely insane
god i wish i had that pad
Yeah but you have like 4 pads which are all nicer than this one
Love the underglow effect of the translucent panels.
Still waiting to see the Crapocab's PS2... one of these days, man.
This was actually so entertaining to watch

DM me on discord: Goose#0005
was that dom holding the bar?? (like lifting it in front of him) lol
7:38 LOL
Poor namco
...midland? The most northern DDR extreme cabinet i know is way south from there. Even weirder.
Is it possible to get the dimensions of the frame??
Классная платформа. Только, что за шарканье на коврике? Прыгать надо! )))

I guess the other pad is absolutely borked to bits lol
I feel like it'd take more effort to fuck over Namco than to give them real cabs.
The hell?
1:38 I did not expect this to be in the pad, so poorly made and ridiculous 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
