It’s one thing to buy one of these castles cheap. It’s a very different thing to restore and maintain them. It’s a big, costly, long term commitment.

Right? Buy for a million dollars, then spend a million a year maintaining them.

One word of instruction. In England and Wales, historic buildings are graded ascending order as Grade Two, Grade Two Star, and the rarely seen on a private home, Grade One, not "Grade I".

Fonmon Castle is not for sale. It was last offered for sale in 2019. As far as I can tell perhaps none of them are still for sale.

I truly enjoy your videos and watch many one after another. Thank you for the ability to see such interesting places. On a personal note, please consider changing the background music. The repetitive sound can be less than pleasant. Other than that, keep up the good work! Thank you!

I wonder if the owners move due to lonliness on these grand properties. Gorgeous yes, but so isolated. Is it worth it? I would like to know.

I would NOT want to live in anything that huge--- UNLESS I could fix it up- and RENT a lot of it-- for functions etc.- and set aside a small section of it to live in..

You can build a big house and call it a “castle”, but that doesn’t make it a castle. Spoiler alert - there are no castles built in the US.
