That's just not true. Wet sand is talked, praised and brought up by casual listeners as hardcore fans many many many times. It is not underated at all.

you don’t need much to become an incredible musician songwriter. start by learning the caged system, then your pentatonic scale, and major scale, and then just practice improvising in key and you’re pretty much all set

Tremolo. You can get a similar result without the effect, by using tremolo picking on the single notes
