Well to be fair, if I saw Fischer playing any opening nowadays I'd probably run
Zombie fischer
I would rather play, it's a great opportunity to play against Fischer
Battle for life!
@@anakinskywalker3749 on the contrary. Fischer was polite, forthright, and humorous
@@gooddognigel9992 Humour doesn't translate very well on the internet, does it? You completely missed it. Look at the top comment of this thread. If Fischer were playing ANY opening NOWADAYS he would, indeed, be a zombie.
Leaving both a bishop and a rook hang...something that I can relate to but with far different results. 🤣
Last videos title: "Crush the Benoni easy" 😂
Unless the person plays it is Bobby Fischer😂😂
@@user-yooo must've been 50 years apart from the time they were played
Ironic
Bobby Fischer;Wanna resign??
Salamanca;🛎🛎
lol, Hector Salamanca
Laat chance to surrender, Hector
more fisher please. I know you've already covered his story but now your chess knowledge is so much better and we all love Robert!
lol no
Gustavo Fring approves of the outcome of this game.
Underrated comment 😂
Context?
@@arteezysecret1687 Salamanca(s) are some of the villains in Breaking Bad (a crime show) that antagonised Gus, another villain in the series.
@@GreenOrochi89 ohh it really went over my head lol i thought Gus played some opening like this. im so dumb😂 by the way, thank you for that
This is the moment Fischer became Fischerberg
Absolute masterpiece by Fischer. He made crushing super strong players look effortless.
Agadmator's introduction of unpopular players is always nice. He made Salamanca sound like a super strong opponent for any master to go up against...and then you remember his opponent is Bobby Fischer so it might as well haven't been said (of course, Agad is too classy to not)
Fisher even took on breaking bad villains.
Been getting this video in recommendations for about 4 months now. Algo, today you won.
Salamanca did
Salamanca money
Salamanca BLOOD !!!
We need more Robert james fischer's games.
Did you watch the saga agad did?
@@vhsdvdacmilan9596 Yes,but it's not enough. Still lots of Fischer's famous games haven’t been shown here.
@@emranahmed5711 he will get there
Amen!
Salamanca before acting as a cartel boss
4:34 - truly an incredible bishop!
Non-euclidean bishop. Just goes to show how deadly mouse slips are in Chess.
Another Fischer video to make my day!
I just watch ur fisher viseos
I love bobby fisher 😩❤
I always enjoy playing an opponent who doesn’t realize, in most situations, just how powerful two connected passed pawns are. I had an opponent who had only a rook and king on the board. after I sacrificed my rook to create 3 connected passers in the C, D and E files, I only has those 3 pawns and my king right behind them on the board. As we started to play that endgame, my opponent began to get irritated. He angrily asked me why I didn’t just resign since my composition was “completely lost. He said I was a bad sport for making him waste him time to win. About 5 min later, after he was defeated, he through his room into the floor before knocking his chair over and storming out of the library. There were many other regulars there and , for obvious reasons, as his behavior here was FAR from a one time thing, most didn’t like the guy I’d just beaten. I saw many smiles and got many pats on the back. Gotta admit it felt really good.
"Why don't you just resign?"
"Because you're about to lose."
When I hear Salamanca I can't help to think of Breaking Bad / Better Call Saul.
One of the best to ever do it. What a game!
EnyaJungle Your Suubbssccrriibbttiioonn means alot too us!
Now I know where I went wrong: I've been playing the Baloney Defense.
Some videos earlier you pushed the microphone when you said "check two of my previous videos here", ever since the audio is lower, please take a look at it.
Love the vids!
I love how the beginning of the video goes out of its way to explain how strong of a player Salamanca was, just to hammer home why Fischer outclassing him was a noteworthy achievement at the time.
I’ve left my rook and bishop hanging in many situations; unlike Fischer I always lost! 😂
‘Someone said this’ my new favorite quote-er on this channel!! 😂😂
4:35 Now that's an incredible bishop indeed xD
lol
That Game is a masterpiece. Unbelieveble
In his book "My 60 Memorable Games", Fischer wrote: "I have never opened with the QP -- on principle". I have always wondered if the real reason was not perhaps that he associated 1. d4 with the Soviets. Never can tell with Robert James Fischer.
This is the moment that Bobby Fischer became Heisenberg.
Loving the older games. Would be overjoyed to see some nezhmetdinov again! Thanks agadmator
The Bishop at 4:35 is truly a monster!
hahaha
Fischer's games age like fine wine
Thank you for the opening suggestions, agadmator! Evans Gambit and now Benoni Defense have brought me joy!
This is really extraordinary ! What a beautiful game ! Thanks for sharing that with us ! 🙂👍
Simply the greatest player to ever pick up a chess piece there have a number of great players over the years but he’s the best in my humble opinion 👍😊🏴
Bobby Fischer is MTOAT if not GOAT. Source:

However ... Bobby Fischer if alive today would support Hans Niemann over Magnus Carlsen ... Apparently not?! Sources:
1 - sl-P3vCZFqA
2 - ZS4ZPF
@@nicbentulan So... he was a member of Merchant Taylors' Oxfordshire Academy Trust?
Agreed.
I happen to agree, Ray. I rate him above Carlsen and Kasparov. Fischer's stats support that, too.
@@gheffz Actually it's quite easy to rate: Garry & Magnus are unapologetic cheaters. Bobby isn't. Can you be valedictorian if you cheated in your final year of school?
You are looking so nice so beautiful great nice game fantastic video keep up good work thanks for shared stay always connected dear friend. God bless you. like 🌹🌹🌹🌷🍒🍇❤️❤️❤️❤️🙏🙏
Love your videos man
Especially your memes 😊
Chris Smith Your Suubbssccrriibbttiioonn means alot too us!
He's the best
I've seen a slightly different version of your quotation: "Chess is a lake in which a gnat may drink and an elephant may drown."
What is your problem with the poor elephant let the guy bathe why you have to drown him for no reason.
splish splash happy elephant noises
The star of this tournament in La Habana was the World Chess Champion Petrosian, he played magnificently, probably his best Olympiad.
Fischer sat in his room in New York and played the tournament via teletype which was a disadvantage for him, as the U.S. government did not allow players to travel to Cuba.
I would run if I saw a Salamanca, too.
Connected passed pawns should not be underestimated. This shows how you can give up all pieces only to push those two.
Very cool game by Fischer
@4:35 Black Bishop Travels into White Square 😂😂😂.
Agadmator is the best chess content on the internet; hands down.
you run when Fisher plays the banoni , when Magnus reaches in the endgame, and when Paul Morphy plays chess !
Pretty sure some IMs nowadays would destroy morphy just in the opening
Great coverage. Thank you. Love the quote, too... yes, there's plenty of scope for a 400 player and a 3000 grandmaster can play chess and there's also room for Stockfish, Leela and Alphazero and the ocean still lies beyond the horizon.
Genial partida.gracias agadmator's.Saludos.
I love Fischer and Tal the most 😚
Chess looks easy when we see Fischer's games! Thanks for this video!
Other than "Tal"hands down "Bobby's is the "Best" 👍
Spanish young prodigy Arturito Pomar Salamanca!! Unfortunately for him Spain was in shambles and he couldn't fully dedicate himself to chess. Still a great player and a very interesting game!
Salamanca breaking principals
This Fischer fellow seems to be quite good.
Great, fantastic and immortal Bobby Fischer!!! Respect forever!!! 👍
the audio for this video was really quiet. i'm not sure if there's an issue with your microphone or what, but it definitely seems a lot quieter than your videos usually are
Hey Agadmator, thank you for your amazing work! You really inspire us. I just wanted to ask, if you already have an idea, when the Steinitz Saga will possibly come.
Soon !
Arturo Pomar Salamanca was having the tournament of his life at the Interzonal Tournament of 1962 . He leaded the tournament for half and beyond, but he had no seconds to help him prepared the games and the games adjourned. He crashed in the last rounds, and even dropped from the qualifications places. Arturo was a mailman in his native Spain, with zero support from the government and the spanish society.
Thank you for covering the game. I think the proper response 3:51 if 10. e5 would follow your example except after 10. ... dxe5 11. fxe5 Ng4 (not Nfd2) therefore when 12. e6 fxe6 13. Bg5 (or d6) and the game has equal chances.
If I may create an altered quote out of Agadmator's wise words: "Two pawns--well placed--are more powerful than a queen."
I love the Benoni, until I run into an 1800+ player
Agad which is your favorite chess set???
Phew ! i wouldn't fancy trying to pull that off !!
Well done, Agad kicked some arse here.
6:11 ...Be6 is a nifty move.
Didn't know people from the Salamanca family were that good at chess :)
Crazy stuff. He was built different.
When Salamanca plays meth, you run !
ihzbc Your Suubbssccrriibbttiioonn means alot too us!
It was in this game that the salamancas realised that chess was not for them. We all know what line of work they went into after this.
just noticed, the thumbnail picture of Fisher looks like Tom Hardy when he played one of the infamous english gangster brothers, Ronnie Kray
Fischer is really a boa . He constricts
Positional
Actually, the sound of the video is very low
I loved playing what was called the Modern Benoni in the 70s, pre-engines it was possible to have some wild games when white overestimated their chances against the apparently 'weird' structure for black.
prev video : crush the benoni
current video : when fisher plays benoni run😁
The name "Benoni" is actually from the Bible. It means "son of sorrow" in Hebrew
I was thinking the same, Benjamin's name if I'm correct
Imagine what Fischer would do with access to table bases and an engine for 6 months..
More of fischer please
Where Fischer made it seem entire games were forced, Capablanca's games appeared effortless in comparison; while Magnus Carlson alternates between muddling through and engine precision.
_Magnus Carlsen alternates between muddling through and engine precision._ How accurate... the best description I have seen explaining Carlsen's games!!!
I also try to hang my pieces, but when I do I also hang😂
Never expect Black to push through the pawns with the pieces hanging to win.
Awesome
Don Hector sends his regards!
interesting about his opponent (whom fischer, showing his lack of character, ridiculed for being a postman) died only recently, almost certainly the last human who had any close relationship with Alekhine -- Alekhine would be 130 now and his most famous student lived 80 years beyond Alekhine's death -- Alekhine was a direct link with 19th century chess and while he never played Steinitz (probably) he knew and played every subsequent world champ until his death required selecting a new one who ended up being Botvinnik.
LEGEND
Is it just me or are the move clicks way louder than usual?
I thought the same, so I checked, it's actually the voice audio that's lower then usual on this video, I must have increased volume to compensate without thinking about it, making move clicks loud
When you play with Fischer , here are the things you should do
1. Write losing result before your 1st move
2. Sign the score sheet and then start playing
Bravo....
I dont think I have seen this Fischer game before!
A Rook and a Bishop ahead, yet it didn't matter; the two connected pawns on the 7th win.
Next game benko gambit or we riot
Just one comment: Pomar has the accent in the 'a'
Two Pass Pawns on (the) Second Rank are stronger than a Queen. Preach Brotha', preach!
'Someone said this' is truly a wise person.
Good game!
Salamanca? My boy hanging with Hector and Tuco
Last chance to look at me, Arturo
Yeah please do some more Fischer content, always so entertaining
According to Stockfish 11, the only good response to 10... c4 (4:04) is 11. a4. After 11. Bf3 Nbd7 12. O-O? b5, Black is already winning.
Agadmator should do an Alekhine saga.
You mention some openings. Are there any modern opening? Is there a "Fischer" or a "Carslon"? Who's name holds the last opening moves? When was it coined?
Lost a lot when i learnt the benoni. But now omg I apple pie crush em hehehhehehehe.
Great now i will wait the video where fischer faced lalo, tuco and hector
