Paul Hamm's 2004 Athens Olympics were an up and down emotional experience. He went into the all-around as the favorite to win gold. On floor, pommel horse, and rings he showed almost perfect performances and was thus constantly on fem first place. On vault, however, something happened and he fell, which then threw him back to 12th place. Could he still make it? See for yourself!

Still waiting for you to mention that he only got the gold medal because of the judges' mistake.
The other team had their opportunity to protest- they didn’t. By not doing so they accepted the outcome, period. Paul EARNED his medal.
@@saragrant9749 He was asked to return the medal but he didn't. He might have earned but his lack of sportsmanship is gonna be remembered forever.
Period
They had time to protest their score and did not! This caused the open ended scoring. It was their fault but still was no guarantee they would’ve gotten gold! The one that was mad was the one that got the bronze!
@@davidnascimento7492 why would he return it. That’s why ridiculous. He did nothing wrong. If anything the IOC should’ve awarded the other competitor a gold too. Punishing the gymnast for judges mistakes is ludicrous
Hamm stole a gold in 2004 from Yang, and 20 years later, that Karma finally worked when Chiles was stripped of her bronze medal.
And lets not forget what really was ICONIC- whole stadium booing on judges and 12 minutes standing ovation for RUSSIAN Alexey Nemov!
OMG where are Uchimura Kohei, Yang Wei, Aleksey Nemov? Why do you have to post abt such controversial winner so many times but ignoring the other great ones?🙄😂
because the key thing about this video is the comeback. Just enjoy the video stop trying to find something wrong with it 🤦🤦🤦🤡🤡🤡
@@sneakymongoose8703 yeah I’m not talking about whether the gymnast is suitable for the video. I’m talking about why they keep making about a controversial one while ignoring so many greats.
@@lucashamilton151 I answered your question. Because the comeback is what is interesting about this case.
And Paul Hamm obviously deserved the title theres no controversy. The Korean athlete actually should've recieved a LOWER score, not a HIGHER score.
What a comeback❤️❤️❤️
Greatest comeback for Paul Hamm!
Nice comeback, Paul Hamm.
Could you post the men's team final from these olympics?
Could you please upload the rhythmic gymnastics qualification evening session 3&4 please
Why not just upload the entire AA final?

Duplicate video 🙃
The rings weren't easy anyway)

Simone, you watching?
Simone accomplished more in her career than Paul ever did. No hate to Paul at all but if you’re gonna shade someone, at least have the facts to back it up.
@@hydroflask8992two totally different sports!
