Too many Jamaican people have no regards for the law and its enforcers. The police have all rights to use force if the detainee is not cooperating. You show respect, you get respect.

The police have all rights once they hold us so I'd beg everyone watching don't resist if you're being arrested , our life is valuable n precious to us n our love ones don't give it away. I remember that at the peak of the Covid pandemic, individuals who violated Covid laws were fined $250,000. The same penalty should be applied to anyone who attacks a member of the security force or a law enforcement officer. The recent events I have observed are simply unacceptable. It is essential to prioritize compliance then complaints. If individuals feel their rights have been violated, they have the option to file a complaint with Jamaica’s independent civilian commission , a pioneering initiative in the English-speaking Caribbean. There can be no justification for assaulting a police officer. The government must demonstrate the full extent of the law by holding the responsible parties accountable as a deterrent to others considering similar actions.

I've seen people who obeyed the police was still beaten while in handcuff and sitting in a squad car ..we fear the police..they abuse their power..where in the law does it say police are allowed to hit anyone outside of defending themselves..respect goes where it comes from..the system is the cause of all this .the states works for the citizens and should respect themselves enough to conduct themselves accordingly..the police lady started it by abusing her power..yall stay there and not talk about the level of abuse and corruption in our country..ppl need to respect and trust the police, I say training is not being used or not effective..I hope it all works out for both persons but I do believe the police lady escalated this situation
