Beethoven 250th anniversary of birth, celebrated throughout the year of 2020, presents a superb occasion for these special recordings by pianist and composer Fazıl Say. "The idea of taking on such an ambitious project came about at a challenging time for both Turkey and the rest of the world. I wanted to immerse myself in a difficult project, devote myself to it and become detached from everything else, from all my anxieties and worries about the future. I wanted to come to terms with myself, understand the things that were making me unhappy and become a better version of myself."

Fazil you become Bethoven and it is impossible to stop listening to you and your fantastic interpretation. You are a music angel direct from heaven. THANKS THANKS THANKS
Cant SAY more
So true! Just what Beethoven deserves!
Teşekkürler FAZIL SAY. İYİ Kİ VARSINIZ.
Very few can do Beethoven’s music justice. Fazil nails it!
👏👏👏👏👏
Лучшее исполнение, bravissimo!!👏👏👏👏🌞🌞🌞🌞🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹
Music from heaven above .... Thank you God for some positivity in such crisis :(
Beethoven DESERVES YOU, Fazil Say! ....THANK YOU!
What I love about this is the utterly relentless quality. It just keeps coming at you.
Relentless, indeed.
I'll be frank to admit that I wasn't sure what was so great about Say before, but once I heard the interpretation of this piece compared to other favorite pianists, this is one above.
That's why Ludwig made the big bucks. And the pianist? Look at him, his face, his posture, he's totally within it. It's poring out of his soul in a wordless language we all understand though cannot speak.
Best performance in whole world

Is heaven.
Gracias Fàsil Say 🙏💖💐
This is the way Beethoven should be played! The drive, the excitement, and energy! You are channeling Beethoven!! Every line of counterpoint brought out with the right voicing. Clean and clear always. Perfect precise application of pedal to bring out the richness of the harmony.
Excellent. 🎉
He’s actually playing about 5% too fast, not the tempo or Gefühl Beethoven intended.
Any slower and this piece seems plodding, IMO. I think it’s the wash of harmonies that Beethoven was after, as in so many other of his early and mid period sonatas. You have to have the texture subordinated to the harmonies and you can’t do that if you’re playing it like a pensive piece.
Schindler said Beethoven played it in a very fast and driving manner, like a Presto Agitato, or words to that effect.
Müziği, ritmi yaşıyor

Yine nefesimi tutarak dinledim. Rüya gibi. Ancak bu kadar yorumlanabilir naçizane. Saygılar her iki ustaya.
Finally another player that plays it at my favorite tempo.
My favourite interpretation of this piece. I just love it.

hissettiriyor, yaşatıyor...
muhteşem..
Fazıl Say.. harikasın !
Vücut diline ne kadar güzel yansıyor ve yansıtıyor 🖤
This interpretation is... relentless. It does not give a single moment for the listener to breathe, and I mean this in a good way, it makes it so gripping! Contrast this with Sokolov's interpretation which is more about sheer force and intensity. Both are very good in their own distinct ways.
It sounds exactly the way I’ve been feeling. Like a tempest. 🌪🌊
Piyanonun efendisi. Onu dinledikten sonra bir süre başkasını dinleyemiyorum.
Gözlerimi alamıyorum harika 🍀
OMG this is so brilliant I AM IN LOVE
Спасибо.Это волшебная вещь. Исполнено прекрасно...

Muhteşem!!
Mükemmelsiniz Fazıl Bey.
Braaaaaaaaaaaavo 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉!!!
БЕСПОДОБНО!
Eccezionale esecuzione!
Merveilleux, merci
