I love the part where he explains what the deal with 3 fingerpicking is
I think the answer is Billy Sheean!?!😒
That's exactly what I thought (& the reason I hit the comment button) I didn't come looking to troll other people's comments, the intent was to call this guy out on posting a pointless, useless waste of time, waste of digital space, and now, waste of effort to stop what I was doing to make this comment, ) (waste of time to even come across this video in the first place.
HEY! VIDEO CLIP HOST GUY, MAKING A' USELESS ON SCREEN APPEARANCE. DO YOU FEEL LIKE YOU ARE SIGNIFICANT NOW?. LIKE YOU HELPED MAKE A DIFFERENCE FOR SOMEONE?
WELL, STOP......YOU DIDN'T.
Watch the full video
Reels really should be better than video promos, just naming some guitarists and ending a video is ridiculous
Then click the link!
I use 3 fingers when i play doubled octaves. Like deep - oct -oct insteqd of jumping with my pointy to hit that string
Not explaining “the deal” is almost as criminal as that perloid pickgaurd 💀
Lol. Let me guess…new to the channel?
I've always played 3 fingers....just thought that was the " way"
Lets not forget percy jones, his technique is insane
Don't know? But it feels natural.
John entwistles bass solos on 515.
I play with all fingers ... but most i use 2-3
I WILL PASS
AND THEN STEVE HARRIS WALKS IN HANDS HIS BEER TO JON MYUNG LOOKS AT ALEX WEBSTER SMILES WHILE LOOKING AT HIS OLD FRIEND BILLY..TAKES STEVE BAILEYS BASS SAY "CHECK THIS OUT" THEN PROCEEDS TO SCHOOL ALL 3 OF THEM ON HOW TO MAKE 2 FINGERS SOUND LIKE 3..all while singing along with the song HE wrote!
my teacher told me Steve Harris plays with 3, so should i!
Gary Willis???!!
doesnt he play with 5
Trujillo
STANLEY CLARKE
What about cliff Burton
Cliff Burton uses two. As does Steve Harris. There’s no real need for three finger playing Cliff’s lines. I’ve done quite a few videos on his playing. Most of the bass lines are played half time of the guitars. That’s why they groove better. Check out my Battery tutorial. He possibly uses three fingers very briefly for one note in Fight Fire With Fire. But again, he doesn’t double the guitar line. He rarely does.
Cliff burton did also. Not sure why he was left out.
He didn't. He exclusively used two. It may look like it, but his pinky is stuck out due to an injury.
yeah missed the point there...thats poor dude
Is that for speed?
Yass. Alex can reach such a high speed that even most talented pick users can reach
If Charles Berthoud doesn't start getting mentioned in virtuoso licks over an ex coke head who just played " FAST " for a bunch of other coke heads lol. ( settle down, I too like Billy ) however Charles is Vulfpec, Wooten and Dart combined with some Metal on the side.
You do know I’ve done a huge interview with Charles on the channel?
@@talkingbasslessons 1 sec ...... Sorry just had to rinse the taste of foot out of my mouth !! 🤦😯 I shall look into that one. 😁👍
What is this. Do bass players think they are guitarists? What next? Dogs driving cars???
Alex Webster uses 4 fingers
Alex uses 3 but I’ve done a series of lessons on developing 4 finger picking. Dominique Di Piazza, Matt Garrison and Hadrian Feraud are all virtuoso 4 finger players.
Steve Harris?
2 fingers
Yeah i mean youd think he used 3 fingers because galloping is way easier with 3 but steve plays on hard mode i guess lol
@@punchdrunkfgc my teacher told me he used 3, back in the 90's and suggested i learn like that. Only found out he uses 2 a few years back. 3 is definately a bonus, gives you more options. Does take longer to get your finger style together, and get it sounding even - worth it though
Jhon myung is noise
That would assume you could hear him 😂
@@MegaGabriele12 I heard many many records of dream unfortunately the music in 14/3 or 7/13 etc for me is noise. Math no doubt and increíble exercise of metric but not music
@@marioalberto3277 You are speaking out of pure ignorance
