Luca Vincent 17:15 to the end is the best for me, personally. I think the cool little nod to Sherwood is Connector with the distant synchronized vocals near the end is mind-blowing.
Luca Vincent 18:20. Maybe not a direct reference, but that part on Strengths with all the vocals together was my favorite part, and same goes for this EP.
If y'all do a tour and don't come to Texas (San Antonio specifically) I will cry an actual river, then sail a boat on it up to new Jersey nd watch y'all there I guess...
It actually came from a play I saw in French class in 7th or 8th grade called Les Invalides about people with troubling relationships and they would act out a scene, then pantomime a sped-up rewind, then do it again in French. I always loved the sound of the word and like the idea of pairing with particularly difficult music, in my mind making a sort of commentary that even those of us deficient in some ways can still do difficult things with perseverance. But that's a very tricky thing to explain quickly lol especially to someone who views "invalid" as not a very kind word (`:
I think he means that the drums are produced in a super tight and dry manner, not that the performance sounds programmed. Although Joe does play with near robotic accuracy (in a good way)
Most criminally underrated band of all time! HANDS DOWN. Can't wait to hear what you guys do next.

What is the origin of the band name Invalids? (Love this album by the way!)

This is really fucking good. Insta-buy from me
I like it, but the drums sound programmed :-/
you're wrong
Joe just rips unbelievably well.
I think he means that the drums are produced in a super tight and dry manner, not that the performance sounds programmed. Although Joe does play with near robotic accuracy (in a good way)
‘Twas but a goof about how the drums were previously always programmed
Oof right over my head lol
