Great story,,,,and nice of Sean Bean to do the narration 😉
😂
Another excellent story. And one that could easily have been true.
The War Stories and Bedtime Stories channels have both done some videos about strange and/or supernatural events that soldiers have experienced during wartime and this could have fallen in with those.
I also like that, aside from the reference to Armitage and his partner, this is a story unconnected to any previous storyline. Sometimes stories don't have to be linked to other events.
Thank you for your work!
There was no gallows at the ‘scrubs because of the beautiful church on the premises. It was felt that the proximity of the two was incoherent. I used to work there as a nurse. The church is very nice (if you like that sort of thing, of course).
Many thanks for the information. It would be cool to know if there were any ghost stories or the like associated with the site
@@UnclassifiedEncounter Nicks are very creepy places. For all sorts of reasons!
At Pentonville the prison is designed like a wheel and spokes. Jeremy Bentham saw it as a way to keep an eye on the most cells from the wheel centre with the least people. Like spokes, great steels ran along the roof of each wing converging in the centre. The execution suite was at the end of one of the wings. The hangman’s noose was naturally attached to one of these steel beams. It was said that when a man was hung the drop and snap would cause the steel beams to ring out a deep growling hum right round the prison as the vibrations passed down the spokes to the centre and then back out along the other spokes. The prisoners would all know when an execution was happening because of changes in prison routine. They would all hear the hum and know that someone had been executed.
Another prison thing of interest - well, it makes me smile, anyway - Doncaster Prison is situated in a very tight bend on the River Don. Subsequently, there is water on three sides of the site. Prisoners called the prison ‘Doncatraz’.
That’s epic. I went to Winson Green and Hewell a few times in my old job, and Exeter now. Creepy old places
@@UnclassifiedEncounter They are, aren’t they! They are designed to be confusing for an escapee. All twists and turns etc. Very creepy.
The idea of Polish pilots during the defense of Britain is old hat, but the idea of false flag ops with captured Allied craft and parachute choking seems also familiar. Would like to see behind the scenes later on.
And I thought TOD meant the name of the dead pilot. Would have made for a mundane turned morbid title.
Albert Pierrepoint class of story....
Well worth the wait Simon! 👍🏻❤️ I liked the fact that although fiction this could so easily have been true… plus I loved the glimpse we got of Armitage & Noonan.
BTW…..that thumbnail is 🔥
So, 2:20-3:03?
@@michaelandreipalon359yes… I definitely think it must be Armitage and Noonan. 👍🏻
Enjoyed that story, had me hooked , from experience old war machines do give off haunting feelings in certain lights
Great story. Really enjoyed this one. Clever plot.
Yet another excellent story Simon.
Love it! Again, had to go looking. It's not showing up in my feed.
Great story... Revenge from the grave.
Never disappointed and well worth the wait for another great story sir. Thank you and please keep them coming. 👍👍
Wow, had this only saved play list and just today played it. Excellent story and background. Somewhat pity that Luftwaffe pilot, but you used an RAF plane and uniform to entrap those British pilots, so yeah, the gallows for you. A Pole, reaching out from the grave, to seek vengeance against Nazis, is not beyond belief...
Thank you for sharing your hard work 👍
Another brilliant tale. Thanks for sharing this one.
i love this channel so much! awesome stories with awesome art!
Twilight Zone, Amazing Stories, Strange Tales, this could be in any of those. Simply brilliant!
