I just watched her on Call Her Daddy and I have a hunch this woman has saved countless lives and will continue to save countless more by her courage, empathy for others and sharing her experiences about mental health and her journey with it. She definitely was put here for a very special purpose, and that’s not to just share this woman’s wealth of talent with the world but her words as well on the crisis we are having in the lack of mental health availability, the incredible need for more, and ways to support those who struggle. She forces people to see we all are human and we all need help at some point and there is never any shame in asking for that help. For those who don’t struggle so badly, our job is to assist those who are needing someone to talk to, to help advocate for and even to help navigate the very broken mental health system to get our loved ones the help they desperately need. But also she shows everyone that mental health diagnosis aren’t the person’s identity, but something that’s just a small part of them and they are very capable of leading amazing, happy, fulfilled lives even when they are given a diagnosis. Whether physical or mental, we are all much larger than our disease/disorder. Everyone was put here for a reason and it should be something everyone can look forward to, figuring out what each of our purposes are (at any age) and doing our best to provide that to ourselves, our loved ones and the world.
And we are glad ya stayed, my friend. When you are in the pits of it, try to remind yourself everything is temporary and what you are feeling and going through shall pass. One thing is a constant and that is change. If only those who feel they are in so much pain that they just want it to stop had the ability to look ahead in their lives, they would see a better tomorrow undoubtedly. It gets better and those aren’t just empty words. It really does.❤
Watched this woman on Spotify, Call Her Daddy, and am so intrigued, impressed and inspired by this young woman who’s been through so much in her short time here on earth. I look forward to seeing all her accomplishments, but more so looking forward to all the help she will provide the mental health community just by her brutal honesty and education on mental health. I’m not saying she was given this job or she has a duty to us all, but she has an incredible amount of knowledge, self awareness, empathy and courage to be beneficial to those who listen to her words and using her platform to reach so many. It is about time we start being as open and sharing our experiences with mental health, so it isn’t so taboo of a topic to speak about. We all have brains, different experiences, traumas, emotions, histories that bring us down difficult roads and that’s the one thing that makes us all the same. We are all human and feel and struggle and seek answers and need help at times. All of us. People like her and those as courageous as her will be the ones who create a safe place for those who struggle to get help and find the answers they need to have a beautiful, fulfilling life will be the people who make the greatest impact here. I am older and believe because of people like herself, mental health will be no different in importance as how we speak about our physical health before I leave the planet. It needs to almost become an obsession like so many see physical health so people can be healthy inside and out to have the life and purposes they were put here for. Every single person has their own special purpose and journey and the faster we learn to help one another achieve those, just by supporting others, the better we all will be.❤
Nessa is the reason I’m still alive. I love her so so much 💞💞
