American here! Tip: if you want to save $$ don’t buy groceries from target!! Walmart is usually always a cheaper option. If there’s a sprouts grocery store, I would go there for your produce (fruits/veg) since Walmart doesn’t have the best fresh items. ❤❤

Our daughter did Cultural Exchange 10 years ago. She worked in the Rose & Crown and was so glad that she took food as opposed to gift shops. We were so very very proud of her.
It is so much fun watching your reactions to being in the US andvfinding your Disney home and life. My son was in thecDisney College Program 30 years ago! as a lifeguard.and still has Disney friends. It lead to another 6 months as a regular cast member, returned at holidays, then after graduation from college spent a few years on the Disney Cruise line. Welcome to the US. Enjoy your adventure!
I loved seeing your first days on your program! I realized seeing your apartment view and the wreath outside that I definitely lived in the apartment either next to you or super close for the last few months of my college program! I did my program at the Tomorrowland Speedway from August to February! Which made me miss my time there even more! All the best!!

I did the college program from 2018- 2019, was one of the best decisions of my life. Roommates were from Tokyo, Norway and France. Was able to go to visit French roommates for their wedding 2 years ago in France! They met in the program and just had their baby last year! My old roommate from Norway did a second year this year. I was just there the week before Christmas to visit him. He works at the Norway pavilion. His program ends in a few days though. 😢

I’m 32 too and if I had known about this programme back in my early 20s I would have died! Instead I worked in Crete on club18-30 and regretted it, give me Disney over that any day now I’m married and have kids! If could go back this is something I would deffo do!

I did the college program in 2001 ENJOY YOURSELF you are going to miss it once your done and look back on it for you entire lifetime!!! ❤❤❤❤❤ I had to leave early due to 9.11 happening and I was a hotel front desk cast member so things got bad between college program and fulltimers

I ate at the rose and Crown in April of 2022. Our server was Dan and he was excellent he was such a down to earth guy. I did the fireworks dinner and I highly encourage you to try a Portillo’s. I stayed at the Caribbean Beach resort. It must be like working on Vacation though. I did see a video on the shades of green resort and there was a gator on the little pond in front of it so there is still gators on property. Have you met Adam the Woo or Tim Tracker yet?

Rule #1: EVERY body of water has Alligators in it. Even if it doesn't...it does. Be careful walking at the edge of ponds, swamps, lakes, etc. Oh! Rule #2? See Rule #1! Welcome to America and I hope you enjoy your time here. My daughter starts her DCP next week, she will be living in Flamingo East like you! Perhaps you'll run into her! Her role is Main Street USA East. (Confectionery) We're so excited for her and will get to visit her regularly as we live in Tampa. It must have really been difficult before they built flamingo crossing for you guys. Was it just random apartments that could be had if you could find them? Or maybe it was even more fun, idk ;). Anyway, live it up. Happy they built the pedestrian overpass for you. Stay safe and have a wonderful time. The cms are the most important part of the parks. Often the most memorable.

You reminded me of my Traditions back in Summer 1997. I had never been to Disney before I started working there so I was in awe! But the best part was that I became a puppeteer for the Legend of the Lion King show (closed now) and was able to perform in the SpectroMagic parade! One of the best experiences of my life. It must have really been difficult before they built flamingo crossing for you guys. Was it just random apartments that could be had if you could find them? Or maybe it was even more fun, idk ;). Anyway, live it up. Happy they built the pedestrian overpass for you. Stay safe and have a wonderful time. The cms are the most important part of the parks. Often the most memorable.

You reminded me of my Traditions back in Summer 1997. I had never been to Disney before I started working there so I was in awe! But the best part was that I became a puppeteer for the Legend of the Lion King show (closed now) and was able to perform in the SpectroMagic parade! One of the best experiences of my life.
