Work for Parsons in Yanbu, Saudi Arabia and live the dream of building a city.

- Yanbu is a small peaceful city on the Red Sea coast of Saudi Arabia Parsons has been an integral part of the city's development. Since 1976 we have been working for the Royal Commission for Jubail and Yanbu to master plan and then manage all infrastructure design construction and development for the new city.
We do wastewater treatment plans, we do desalination plants, we're doing schools, and mosques, and housing projects, and high-rise office buildings. We do just about every kind of construction project that you can imagine. It's cool to be associated with a program of this magnitude. It's the kind of work that every engineer dreams about. We get to build a city from scratch. It's just phenomenal. So it's just a great opportunity to be here and do work that you only dream about when you're in school.
With the city located on the beautiful Red Sea coast there are many recreational activities centered on the water: fishing, scuba, diving, sailing, and voting are very popular. Overnight camping and barbecues at the beach in the surrounding mountains or in the desert are fun weekend activities for the more adventurous. The city is home to a large, well-equipped Medical Center and the number of smaller private clinics continues to grow.
We find working within the city wonderful. My daughter has developed many friendships over here and my son many friends as well - within the kingdom both with Saudis and with expats.
One positive and often overlooked feature of an assignment at Yanbu is the proximity of Saudi Arabia to other interesting places. To name a few: Italy, Greece, Turkey, Cyprus, Egypt, and Kenya are popular short-haul destinations and the major cities of Europe are not too much farther away.
I thoroughly enjoyed my time off this year so far. I'm thankful that I work for Parsons it's been a very positive experience so far for me and I thoroughly enjoyed working in Yanbu itself. It's a safe environment with a wonderful community and great activities.

The city has great development plans and it's a place where there's always an exciting engineering solution to think about.
Come grow with us in Yanbu.
I lived there with my Husband and small kids in 1979..My husband worked for Parsons,Pasadena and was transfered ,family status..for us ,it was a fantastic dream come true.. First year ,we lived in Jeddah..then sent to Yanbu.I am an artist and even got to paint the KIng of Saudi Arabia (KIng Khalid) and was even asked to present it to him in Person! My Oldest Son was the first baby born in the Parson's "Al Nawa " Camp ! Maybe things are different today..

Seems like people are loving my small town. Thank you for your kind words. You are always welcome in Yanbu 🇸🇦❣️
Thank you Yanbu and all the wonderful Saudi Arabian and expat friends we had as a family in Yanbu, This was a happy time for our family and Aimee my daughter developed many Saudi, Arabic and expat friends from so many nations, and even learnt basic Arabic. Thanks, Dr Mohammed Alghamdi (Abu Nasser), Dr Samir Alsobhi (Abu Kenan), Dr Abdulkareem Al Johani of YTI, Engineer Amer Asir (Abu Rafa) and many others who gave my life dignity and space to help others, which is my primary purpose in my life, as well as giving my family meaning and purpose in the city, as well as many friends and fun activities and countless Red Sea snorkelling and diving trips, as well as happy Corniche Coastline walks. My son and daughter loved Yanbu International School YIS, and look back on this time with fond memories. Alf' shukran (thousand thank yous) Yanbu, Alf' shukran Saudi. Thanks for all the kindness shown to me and my family over a 5 year period. May you be blessed from Above

I work for Arup and got contacted 4-5 times by Parsons recruitment in last 7 years. Every time they've sent me a JD, started a conversation, asked to fill in a form and never even came back with some feedback. Their HR has the worst practice in the industry. It's like they are just collecting data and showing numbers to someone. Totally unprofessional. One should at least have decency to revert back. I stopped replying to their e-mails. It's ridiculous...
Hi, Do you remember the name of the lady that contacted you?

Where is parson's location in yanbu
How do I get a job here? I’m from the Philippines.
I think you should check out their websites for work opportunities
between Yambu and jubail which is more beautiful, I have a hard time choosing
Yanbu
Yanbu is more peaceful, while jubail is more modern
I called Yanbu the ghosts city unless on vacation and weekend you will feel that you are alone in town
Jubail is much larger in size and population and surrounded by couples of towns and cities
So if you like to spend your time at home go with Yanbu
I lived there for 10 years. Damn
How was it?
