He doesn't know the difference between lust and love. So proud of Rachel and Gabby.
He doesn't know what love is
Susie needs to think about his treatment of Gabby and Rachel yet Gabby and Rachel are lucky to have him out of their lives I cannot see this working out for Susie because he will do something to prove he is untrustworthy I have been told I am too negative it is my intuition telling me Susie should leave before Clayton causes her emotional trauma ~
I agree that what he did or how he handle the situation was wrong but don’t forget that this is not a fairytale or can even be compared to “real life”.
We can’t expect to understand what it must be like to try to “manufacture” love out of what is essentially a game show.
When in real life does one man have a host of beautiful women that he can literally date all at the same time and “eliminate” out of his life at will.
It’s easy to get caught up in the emotions and glamour of wining and dining in amazing places and the best of situations that you don’t have to pay for. It’s all artificial and just a show.
Yes feelings can be real but it also may be complete infatuation in the moment due to how artificial the surrounding and situation is.
Not condoning what he did but it’s definitely easier to judge when you haven’t been put into such a situation. You also don’t know if the producers of the show pushed him to do this to make sure the show continued.
@@stephenfrancis9498 " the description of the lover's discourse has been replaced by its simulation" Roland Barthes
He probably didn’t love them, but he definitely really liked all three women. When you are in that type of environment, it is easy to fall for more than one person. A lot of those women are incredible people.
He told her she was the first woman he said "I love you" to in 6 years????? No wonder she was sobbing during their breakup!!!
Whew it’s all a mess 😩
@@DC-sh7ud I'm honestly so appalled by how he treated her and Gabby too.
@@DC-sh7ud , makes for great TV ratings
Right! It's like it was a game for him where he would act these scenes out and see who loved him the most. I truly feel had Susie turned him down completely he would have proceeded to choose his 'winner' ... And I'm so happy for Gabby and for Rachel that they dodged that bullet bc they don't deserve to be anyone's second best. I so hope they both get their happy endings too!!!
The fact that he begged Gabby and Rachel to stay after the rose ceremony but yet didn’t have any emotions at THAT point then continued to tell them both he “was falling in love with them” but in the back of his head all he could think about is Susie. What the heck why put these girls through that if you knew they weren’t the “ONE” even after saying “you fell in love with 3 woman” WHAT.
I believe he kept Gabby and Rachel because they were his “backup” plans… they were the conciliation prizes only in case Susie did not come back.
I don't think he had the clarity yet to let Rachel and Gabby go. He needed them all to stick around until he sorted out what HE wanted. It is after all (in his mind) "Clayton's" season of The Bachelor.
Yes it appears he knew who his FrontRunner was. But he wasn't ready to act on it yet.
Practically in EVERY rose ceremony there are always contestants kept on the show who The Bachelor or Bachelorette KNOWS is not going to be their final pick. But the TV show has a format that requires the narrowing down until the final one. Let's not lose sight of that
And then reel them back in and have them meet his family and then go na it's Susie! Appalling. Can't blame producers for all that
@@abenjetta He absolutely did!
@@abenjetta except that he didn't use them as a backup 👨🔧
Even after Susie said No, he still dumped the other two and went for Susie. He loved her "the most" haha.
Rachel won second place, tied with Gabby. ...their prize? ....The new Bachelorettes! Who says second place is the worst loser??
I think Rachel genuinely gave it her all. I am so proud of how she stood up for herself
She really did. It’s very admirable. And good on her for standing up for herself
I don’t buy anything he says. He’ll say whatever will take the heat off his back and whatever will look good on camera. He doesn’t care about them. He only cares about himself. THAT is why he showed zero empathy. People were so quick to judge & now he’s being praised on his relationship with Susie? “Congratulations, so happy for you!” As if he didn’t f with these poor girls heads & put them through emotional hell beforehand? Sorry, no. Goodbye. I’m ready for Rachel & Gabbys journey to start because they will know how to actually conduct themselves & be mindful of other peoples feelings. And they will find a MAN who actually values & respects them. Rant over!
yes, he cares about the one woman he loved and picked at the end of this journey- so what?
@@cleigh113 so what? everything he did beforehand in toying with all their emotions is “so what.” Including Susie mind you lol. Did you forget how he gaslit her before she even left? you don’t tell 3 people you love them and bang two of them & then send the one you “love” home for expressing herself & then beg the other girls to stay but then tell them wait no, susies still here! nvm bye. & doesn’t even have the decency to tell them separately.
the thing is tho...he doesnt care about Susie either. Anyone who truly loves someone wouldnt need to sleep with 2 others to make sure.
She was right, he had 0 empathy, he kept saying he loved them or whatever but if you love someone even a little or care deeply for them, if you see them in pain, it would hurt you too. He was not by seeing them hurt and he really just... was absolutely emotionally so detached from these two girls who he spelt with. Like if he loved her so much, he didn't need to be intimeate with them like that. That's the horrible thing like he used them knowing he lloved sisue the most
Personally, I could never get through the first night, swapping spit with 30 people I've never met before. It's gross.... it's odd, and it's morally bankrupt.
That final question shocked me. It was exactly what everyone was thinking and she asked it.
Thats what im saying. It was so obvious. The whole time im thinking he's just saying that to get them in bed.
When she said she didn't believe him after his answer, I knew what she asked was true. She knows enough about him to know if he's being dishonest
Susie messed up his hat-trick
I was happy he asked it and if i were her I would have added: you mentioned early on in the show that “you and I were the most compatible physically” so was that why? You just wanted to see what it was like before taking susie?
And Clayton lied to her. All Gabby and Rachel were, was a piece of a$$
I WANT TO KNOW why Jesse didn’t ask Susie what she thought about Clayton’s viciously cruel handling of Rachel and Gabby. He was despicable. I want Susie’s comments.
You know who would have asked…😏
I’m glad she asked him if he said he loved her just to sleep with her . That is the impression I got from watching the show.
Oh dear he looking at her like he's trying to stay awake without any emotions or even regard to her feelings, like his words carry no weight
Something is off with him. I wonder if it's Asperger
@@vava8545 I was talking to my sister about that too. He probably got hit one to many times playing football and has multiple concussions
@@vava8545Autistic ppl are usually highly empathetic, you sound ignorant af.
Yes, something is off with him. He seems very cold and emotionless. Susie really needs to take it slow.
@@vava8545 Autistic people are not cold and emotionless. Please don't say incorrect things. One of my best friends has Aspergers and he's more empathetic than any neurotypical I know.
She Handled this conversation so well and strong . I would’ve said the same things to him . Glad her parents have her back through all of this .
Clayton feels bad because the whole world can see what he did. If it wasn’t aired on TV he would not genuinely feel bad. How could you not intend to hurt people and keep hurting them over and over, to me it’s like saying “I don’t care but can’t admit that”
He now only feels bad for himself. Lol. You can tell.
Even if he’s saying sorry he’s saying it as if he’s doing favour to the whole world 😒
Nah. He didn't mean to hurt them. He was simply unwise and tried to juggle three girls and got burned because of lack of maturity.
The show sets them up for it, scheduling fantasy suites with multiple girls at the same time...a recipe for disaster. This is not the first or second time collateral damage has come out of fantasy suites.
Even though he stumbled greatly, I'm at least proud he didn't completely lose his head, and kept his eye on the prize and didn't give up.
That's a Life Lesson for all of us to see Susie sitting by him in the end. You got to go after what you want.
Likewise, Colton got the girl back that left him. Even if he couldn't keep her long-term
I think the whole world can see that he and Susie found each other and they seem to be very happy Rachel and Gabby are just salty it wasn't them
@@coconutsciencegirl9232 he's putting on a show..saying what he tinks the world wants to hear so all the insults will stop...aww poor Clayton can't take the negative remarks for what he did. What about what Racheal has to live with or Gabby. They have to live with the pain he caused.Thank the Lord Bachlorette is coming.Maybe now both beautiful ladies will meet a real man instead of some shallow self centered coward.Clayton is pathetic on every level possible..a complete loser.
Take a shot for every time Clayton says “I’m incredibly sorry”
Exactly he doesn't know what the words sorry or love means
He just wanted to have the cake and eat it too!
Yes only trouble with that is you'd be looped in no time..lol ! He only says it for the camera...not because he is
With a deadpan stare*
Clayton had so much time in between taping the finale to this moment on the live show to formulate an apology/ response and THIS is how he replies to Rachel?!?!?! He has absolutely no remorse for what he put Rachel and Gabby through
I was shocked to see Clayton when Rachael was crying in the stairwell and it was echoing throughout with Clayton standing there emotionless without a tear in his eye. That was a scary eiry portion of the show that tells everyt thing about Clayton. He clearly needs help. I feel sorry for Suzie when she says every one makes mistakes. Listen slowly as Clayton now is saying as he is moving to Virginia Beach to live with Susie saying, "anything can happen." Susie, be very careful with this guy. She is the Empath and he is the Narcissist. Not a good combination.
No
It was scary on both. Why would you be that upset about someone that dead in the head?!? What would she do with an actually nice/ genuine person when things didn’t work out? As smart as she seems I would never even go more than a week with someone like this
Rachel has every right to be angry, upset and to not believe him. She seems to be a genuine person who wears her heart on her sleeve - but - she doesn’t articulate her feelings as well as Gabby does. That’s why, even though most people seem to relate to Rachel more, I actually relate to Gabby more. When she explained how she felt “measured” - that struck a chord with me. Hope they both find their person next season 🌹🌹 they both deserve it!
Ya, Gabby was really able to articulate herself well, even in the Heat of all the many drama points
She has 0 right to be any one of these things.
@@prometheus9443 ok "Prometheus". If you decree it, it must be so 🤪
How Gabby speaks is how I wish my words would come out!! lol.
You also have to consider Gabby is considerably older, hence more mature and probably with more experience (has dealt with more jerks before)
It annoys me how he just says same things when he’s called out
Yeah I think he’s zoned out when she’s talking and he just apologize but don’t know what he’s apologizing for lol
@@mariflick yes it’s like he’s not listening and just thinking what the “right” thing is to say
I soooo agree. When he says " I know how you feel "(as a response to everyone) especially to Rachel's parents, it screams "I have no idea how you feel .I just think I do , the same way I thought I knew what love is " ( at best, or , it's just a robotic 'gotta say something to get you off my back') He didn't even look like he was hearing them, literally or figuratively
I don't see how he's even had time to process what he did to Rachel and Gabby and how they feel . Since the end of filming he's been too busy processing with Susie what he did to her and her feelings and trying to get her back
Maybe 20 years from now, when he has a daughter near Rachel's age, karma will come, and he will begin to understand how Rachel's dad is feeling.
Meanwhile he showed , again, how clueless he is but worse he was patronizing. It would have been more honest and real had he just told them 'I'm sorry", 'I'll work on it'.
He showed he has a lot of work and growing up to do
This show really shows people's true colors.. cause I could have swore Clayton was a good guy in Michelle's season but the way he acted really shows why he WAS single and probably will be again soon. Nobody deserves to be used this way.
He never meant to hurt anyone. He made a mistake like we all do. So for people to come at Clayton like that is just messed up. Don’t judge anyone because if you’re in their shoes, you wouldn’t be attacking him
@@elijahparis-salmon9943 Everything Rachel said to him was correct. He was very selfish in his journey - it was literally picking the best Barbie out of a line-up. The fact he decided to break-up with Rachel and Gabby at the same time once he realized he wanted Susie (the bigger challenge, he wants what he can't have easily) and didn't shed a single tear or show any emotion proves this. He keeps saying these were 3 different relationships, 3 different types of love...so why didn't he feel the need to break up with them separately? Even if production suggested a group break-up, a genuine person would've been like "no, I need to tell them each one-on-one"
@@elijahparis-salmon9943 If I was in his shoes I would not be playing with people's emotions, truly. He used them.
I love Gabby but can relate to Rachel the most
NAH HE DODGED A BULLET
I only relates to Rachel when I had relationship addiction. After getting rid of codependency, I mean I wouldn’t get casted for any bachelor. Like casting directors would not cast me because I’ve become too aware of anxious attachments like Clayton. Not to say that Clayton and Susie won’t make it. Clayton has some great parents. I’m rooting for those two! What really touched me was Gabby and Rachel’s love for each other, that made me cry.
As a man I have to day that Rachel stuck with Clayton to the bitter end. I've had 2 wives cheat on me, so that alone is why Rachel appeals to me.
Gabby on the other hand is smarter and defends herself much better. Gabby is also 5 years older than Rachel
Either one of these ladies would make a great wife, but Rachel is more my taste
I think he'd be more sorry if he didn't win his prize "Susie" at the end of this. He isn't sorry at all. He got what he wanted, he's happy, he's not heart broken and he doesn't give a 💩💩💩 if he hurt them. I wish he stopped saying he understands. He didn't make it to hometowns or fantasy suites to really know what these girls went through. Even when they were final two he should not have introduced his parents. He's so aggravating. He's not haunted cus he doesn't give a 💩.
I’m sure people have already said this but he only ever showed emotions when it was about him and his journey, and that is truly terrifying
“Are you haunted?”
ABC knowing damn well he isn’t and wanting to further watch him humiliate her on national television
it’s not “who he loves the most” it’s who he can MANIPULATE the most.
Rachel was supportive of Gabby bc she really thought she’d be the 1 w/him in the end… that’s why she stayed. At this point tho, they all know that the producers thrive on the shows ending being ‘the most dramatic season ever’.
I don't think Susie should've reached out to Clayton at the end of all this, but that's her choice and good luck to them! I'm also a bit doubtful that he has truly 'learned' anything from all of this and will better his future actions.
I'm still trying to wrap my head around why Susie gave Clayton a chance. For fame? It's disappointing after what he did.
Clayton's best hope is that Susie will be able to train him
If she has to train him, it probably won’t last. She’ll get tired of it.
Yes… from his words and demeanor it’s hard to believe he’s truly learned from this.

Clayton was hurt by the relationship he cared abt the most. His reaction with Suzie showcased that. He cldn't give you tears Rachel because YOU were the lover in this relationship. And as my grandma said endlessly, "In a relationship, one is the lover and the other the loved one. The most successful heterosexual relationships are where the man is the lover and is comfortable to be that."
True. He didn't love her, that's why they were no tears.

I am sorry for Susie if she decides to stay with him. He is void of emotions, forces himself to cry and is not genuine in how he treats women. Not to mention selfish.

@@shaunessystuart3320 exactly...with producers in the mix
Clayton lost my respect long before this. It started with Shenya he was infatuated with her and kept her around regardless what the other girls said about her. He didn't have a whole lot of trust in the women he was building a relationship with to begin with.
Then going in he knew he was in love with Susie, but still opted tell Rachel and Gabby that he loved them. I do question as Rachel did if he told them he loved them just to explore it all. When he went in to meeting Susie he was hoping for the same reaction as the other ladies gave to him. He was going to tell Susie he loved her and he was hoping to sleep with her and it would be all peaches and roses from there.
I'm just glad Rachel and Gabby got clarity and I can't wait to see their season. They deserve nothing but happiness.
On another note I do miss quarantine bachelor and bachelorette. It keep things more real than traveling the world, but nothing was close to their real life when they're so far away from home and reality.
This aged so well that Rachel tried to gaslight, manipulate, and pressure Aven into a proposal for the show.
Stop lying already Clayton. You are very calculated. You made no assumptions and only said the things that would help you string these women along. You left out important details you knew would change their minds because you wanted to call the shots. No one else had a right to control the situation but you. A clown is what Clayton is. My prayers are with Susie.
Clayton doesn't seem like the most emotionally intelligent character. He was clearly unable to cope with the role of Bachelor from the earliest episodes. Is it a surprise to anyone that this season turned into a train wreck?
Why did he string her along knowing how in love she was and he knew his heart was with Susie? And then begging Gabby to stay when she tried to leave. I don’t get it and these girls were treated like straight garbage. Also he’s shown literally no emotion for either of them and that’s concerning and gross.
He's a narcissist!! It's ALL about him and his feelings!!
Clayton has to few brain cells to understand what he dd he has the emotions of a 16 yr old with raging hormones. Funniest Bachelor season EVER
Gabby & Rachel are the winners! They’re lucky they didn’t end up with such a confused, childish little boy!
Wow he got it good..Glad she stood up for herself. No more nice girl!!!lol
Let's face it, the only reason Susie stayed in Iceland is b/c this was all staged to begin with. The pieces don't just fit together so nicely in real life, and when she made her first decision the night of the fantasy suites, she was smart enough to stick with it. It's all contrived, and this show doesn't promote any kind of morality, or self respect for women. It needs to go, and anyone who has signed up for it in the past or moving forward, is morally bankrupt.

😂😂😂 Rachel was one of the worst. She was way too immature for the pressure that comes with “this process”. I wish Gabby would have had her own season.
It repulses me that Clayton intentionally hurt gabby and Rachel showed no remorse and empathy for his actions and still got what he wanted. Thank God I didn’t watch his whole season.
The trash took itself out. God help Susie.
What Clayton had for the girls was infatuation, not love!!!! People don't understand the difference between love and infatuation.

I feel for Gabby and Rachel but so excited they are bachelorettes! Rachel mom looks like she wants to give him a piece of her mind and I am so here for it!
The bright light of the season was seeing the true love expressed by Rachel. Which he didn't fully appreciate what he had. Instead choosing to pursue the girl with beauty-queen good looks
It's so hard to watch him answer questions bc neither his actions nor his words sound genuine. He couldn't just say I'm sorry I was selfish. I don't even think he could say he really truly cared let alone loved... What did he think was going to happen? Sister wives?
Yes, it doesn’t seem genuine at all.
I really did not see this one coming he seems so sold on Rachel which makes him the biggest fool in Bachelor history he's even worse than pilot Pete and that's saying a whole whole lot
Agree out of all 3 girls being upset he was the most touchy and nicest towards Rachel so I thought it was her.. I think he wanted Susie cus he was rejected ..
So proud of Racheal
I give Susie and Clayton 2 months. And for the record, he may be insensitive and self centered, but he is NOT a narcissist. Not too many people actually know what a true narc is.
why, because she can cry on cue?
@Blue Lagoon I think you are right. Honestly I don’t get it. This is just like Ben Higgins 2.0. Ben slept with all 3 girls, told one he was falling in love with her and two he was in love and STILL had the title of the nicest bachelor in history. Not to mention he didn’t even TELL Lauren he had loved Jojo until after the engagement. So why are people so mad at Clayton? At least Clayton was upfront with Susie and tried to correct himself (although it was an absolutely terrible way to do it). I think he didn’t realize how much he wanted Susie until she left, then tried to force something with the other two girls. By all means, it was a train wreck and he made massive mistakes, but he’s really no worse than any other lead, he was just too vocal.
Clayton screwed this finale really bad, but how do people go from being mad at Matt James for "thank you for sharing that" to being mad at Clayton for saying I love you to 3 women? Please make up your damn minds.
His “love” wasn’t too genuine. He just wanted to smash and said it to let them bring their guard down.

Deer in headlights … nothing seems genuine from him
He's so incredibly full of poop and she's so sweet. Rachel and Gabby are light years too good for him. I'd say that about Susie as well but she seems to be ok with how he treated the other women.
I agree completely with what Rachel said here to him. He is a completely unbelievable and a liar. He said the same thing about haven’t had the feelings to each of them since 6 years ago just to sleep with them! Oh how terrible man is he! How Susie can believe than this man will not lie to her again? I think he is not mature at all to handle a relationship at this point.
I think he's a creep and Suzie needs to run / I heard him say the same exact thing to each one .
His face is like a brick wall- no emotion, no empathy, no compassion. Stone cold.
I really think that Rachel should have not been the bachelorette. They ruined her with this season. And the way she talked to Clayton through the breakup and on the ATFR was so eloquent and strong.
Also, when she asked him if he told her loved her to sleep with her, his lips quiver a little and his mouth gets all tight. Stressed and afraid of what he might say.
its the are you haunted for me XD

i agree with rachel and gabby on the weight of the words he spoke to the both of them... not putting himself in their shoes to try to understand how they were feeling... why would you break up with the two of them in the same room.. he could've, in the hotel, pulled them each out of the room to speak individually rather then together because it just muddled everything else

The only difference between Clayton and other Bachelors and Bachelorettes is that he was transparent to a fault. Everyone involved knows of the Fantasy Suite and what might happen and that hearts will be broken.
Sorry u cant be in love with 3 girls concurrently. I dont understand how Susie took him back after watching the way he treated her supposed friends

I’m so proud of Rachel and gabby. They should have left after the rose ceremony because that was not okay. But when it was the fantasy suite night did anyone notice he said the same thing to the girls when he said he loved them. Absolutely crazy.
He is a freaking robot. No emotion behind his words
Clayton could be someone who has a hard time showing their emotions, but I don’t think he is. And actions speak louder than words. He says he loves all these women and changes his mind completely at the drop of a hat. At the end maybe he did like Susie most, but I think he just wanted what he couldn’t have. He already had Gabby & Rachel and saw how easy that was. He used all of them.
He ain't haunted lolol .... boy bye !
I'm pretty sure Clayton had more feelings for the trophy thrown into the pond then he ever did for any of those women. The messed up way he dumped Susie, I can't believe she decided to take him back!
Clayton is not a good man. Period.
Hahaha he still doesn’t care or feel bad. Promise. 😂😂
Really people he was just pummeled by Gabby and now by Rachel (with her parents also) and yes he deserved to be called out and made a mess but really if he shed a tear would that have made anyone happier? Just so uncomfortable to watch as it went on too long - nothing he could say more at that point.
Wow, now he is going around telling people that he values transparency when he didn't yell either woman that he loved sussie the most.
And I’m so impressed that Aven saved the day
He’s about to fall asleep 😂🤣🤣
Rachel and Gabby got used. Let's call a spade, a spade
Oh this hits close to home. I live in Central Florida. So heartbreaking.
How can Susie date him after this? It’s so telling
Gabby and Rachel are really lucky that this guy Clayton chose other girl rather than them because they deserves better.Clayton is not even sorry for what he did, even if he is apologising it’s just for formality 😒it feels
Clayton was obviously coached by some PR people around what to say. Clayton isn’t the sharpest tool in the shed but I think the franchise is the culprit. The show is toxic to the contestant’s mental health. But as long as the ratings are good and the contestants become instagram stars, it’ll keep going.
Justice for our Rachel
I'd give my left and right arm to be able to be her lover... what a fool he is!
Well said Rachel, Koodo's! He is a narcissist, not sure why peeps can't see it after the Susie thing
Right on! This guy displays the perfect example of narcissistic behaviour; little to no empathy or compassion let alone tears. Never owning up to his stuff by actually saying sorry. Even his own father thought he behaved poorly & wouldn’t have blamed either Gabby or Rachel for walking away. Dumping them both together was cowardly. And he clearly doesn’t understand the difference between falling in love & actual love.,Although I must say since when in Bachelor history has anyone not slept with other people prior to the final rose? There’s this thing called The Fantasy Suites? I guess if you had told women you wouldn’t do that or made promises prior .. but they all usually do that. I did find he handled the final 3 women poorly & I like the way the women, especially Gabby spoke up for themselves. Even in calling him on his BS about keeping the toxic blonde in the house; that was refreshing to see on the Bachelor. Making these men more accountable for their choices & actions. But it is the Bachelor show in the end with Fantasy suites, drama & ratings to be held.. clearly I watch it too much.. lol.
@@klw8771 wrong on all the above
@@klw8771 You are completely CLUELESS about what a narc is. He is NOT a narc by any stretch of the imagination. He may be selfish, self centered, unaware, and cold, but he is NOT a narc.
@@bluelagoon1875 you just described a narcissist. He also lacks empathy for other people.
@@ilanam3398 Wrong. People can be very dysfunctional, but are NOT narcs. A narc is a very rare bird, and I happened to encounter one, and actually married it. You want to talk sometime, I'll filll you in the details of what a TRUE narc is.
I think this was more about the one who got away… I don’t think he knows what he wants!
Clayton only said that he loved Rachel just so he could sleep with her....smh
Ladies this is why you don't give up the grand prize when you don't even have the ring. Such a harsh lesson.
Rachel, don’t sleep with men who aren’t committed to you only.
Susie should never be with him bc of how he treated the other women
