Honestly? I don’t immediately think budget cuts when I see this stuff? It’s very cute, pays attention to detail, etc. it’s very obvious it’s kid oriented. There’s places in the shade to sit, and it did need an update. Kids under 5 don’t necessarily know who Fieval or Barney are. This is much newer, and very clean and modern. The playgrounds, food, bathrooms, etc are all very kid friendly and very much needed an update! It’s absolutely adorable!!!
Yeah, I feel like sometimes the hate in these videos goes a little too hard on the weirdest things. Definitely agree, for the age it's targeting it's great
The standard for themed kids areas has to be honey I shrunk the kids from Hollywood studios when that was around. That shit was so fun when I was a kid
Nah Disney wouldn’t even build a whole playground, they would mostly just put a slide, swings, and then small monkey bars and call it a day. And then it’ll be part of a hotel that’s way overpriced. Speaking of the parks, I’m waiting for the passholder preview of the Dreamworks land
I was at the park when this was posted maybe ten minutes before I met him and got a picture. I would like to thank you again for taking a picture with me 😊
I know Dreamworks land is aimed for kids but for those around when Shrek came out I think some Shrek themed alcoholic drinks would be a HUGE hit. I know I’d order a swamp sludge cocktail of some sort 😂
I'm still convinced they didn't want to spend loads of money on the area, because the space will go to something else long-term in the future. So this is a temporary fix to introduce more IP.
I mean, it's a kids area. Yes, they can always change it, but also, it's a kids area specifically for small children and families. People have been asking universal for more kids things. The area will still bring guests in compared to what was there before.
There's always room for improvement, and yes, this land is still technically at early stages. Overall, from the looks of it, it's a W for Universal. DreamWorks land looks cute, theres fun activities for the kids, the show looks great, the Po interaction is awesome. Food treats dont look bad, the theming is not bad. At the end of the day this land is meant for kids and families. They will have a lot to do in DreamWorks land, and will bring attendance compared to its pre accessor. I will say, the Dreamworks show queue needs some work, compared to what was there (Barney, which I loved as a child and was one of the best queues ever), it does need to love. Universal can always update it here and there.
This is exactly what little kids need - space and playgrounds to just chill out and run around. I know we see all the "shortcuts" but honestly I wish Disney would do this it would be so nice for adults to be able to chill out/drink/eat and let their kids run around in a wide open space instead of them just sitting a stroller and in lines. Imagine if Disney used the million(billion?) dollar IP of Rapunzel for a playground instead of a bathroom lol
I don’t think any house will be chucky level quality this year, but I’m calling it now, A quiet place, ghostbusters and Silver Screams will be witches brew quality
Just thought about it, but the HHN commercial had the woman blurb about conspiracies and nothing being hidden in the parks.....then come to THIS HHN and HHN30 where theres a whole dungeon under USF...interesting
The Major Sweets house for HHN is exciting, but I also heard that HHN is facing budget reductions as well. Don’t get me wrong, I think EU is going to be groundbreaking and revolutionary, but I don’t like how Universal is taking the Disney route and budget-cutting everything to put their time and money into Epic Universe. I don’t like Universal being cheap, since they're worth billions of dollars.
Love your content! You are my favorite theme park vlogger!! Great preview of the new land! Um....what's up with Mr. Andrew there with those shorts! VERY nice! A little something for the ladies....and the fellas 😍
Honestly, I think the cut outs are pretty temporary. I wouldn't be surprised of they come back and make a pass to replace the signage with modeled versions in a year or so after the Epic pressure is off. I doubt it's even a case of money, so much as it is time, manpower, and production capacity. For now, it does the job, and the little kids will enjoy it. They can always come back to it later. I'm sure it'll look a lot better once the plants grow in too... though that'll take a few years.
hey kevin, newb question here. do they release dates and tickets for orlando before hollywood? i was able to buy tickets last year for orlando in like march and i cant seem to buy them this year for hollywood. whats going on?
i believe that universal is dropping all these announcements for the original houses day by day because its a distraction, they want everyone to focus on the fact that we're getting all of these cool and interesting originals so fans won't be mad at them for not having specific ips this year.. but thats just my theory lol
Furthermore, they also confirmed that monstruos The monsters of Latin America come to the event I think this year is going to be one of the best in terms of original houses
Remember, overall value is not a direct correlation to cash on hand or potential available debt the company is willing to take. Lots of risk in those expenses. Especially now with the risk of inflation.

I agree! It's a great edition to UO!

Camp Jurassic is an amazing detailed kids area throughout the entire thing where Dreamworks has spotty quality
The standard for themed kids areas has to be honey I shrunk the kids from Hollywood studios when that was around. That shit was so fun when I was a kid
2:25 hey that’s my kid! 😂 Great meeting you, Kevin!
Been an insane week for announcements, hope more videos are coming!!
More to come!

Any references or secrets for Psycho? You would think maybe something small at least because the bates motel was once here.
I appreciate your honest review of the new Dream Works land. Look forward to trying the Shrek popsicle.
43:23 It used to be Amex lol
Love the content Kevin!

Are they having problems with ip hhn houses this year? Weird we are getting all in house stuff so hard first????

I remember seeing someone say that the shrek swamp land would be better than far far away at the other parks lol

I had the donkey waffle on Sunday. It did come with dipping sauce so I don’t know why yours didn’t.

All my kids grew up on mrs peekaboo, Barney, and woody woodpecker was one of their first coasters, a new place for next gen, but was hoping for more
What house are you most excited for?
Who is the guy in the polo?!
Why do Donkey’s eyes squeak?
Seen that Pinocchio's nose grows during interaction.
Nice.
Furthermore, they also confirmed that monstruos The monsters of Latin America come to the event I think this year is going to be one of the best in terms of original houses

Yup
Very sad to not see any Megamind related stuff, even less expected after the terrible, terrible sequel we do not claim as canon
oh man this land looks disappointing, shame to see the budget cuts hit Universal too after Disney
That playground is disappointing to say the least BRING BACK CABBIE
Lmao
Who told you about Van Helsing's daughter
Kevin, I love your content, but lately...you're SO negative. Maybe find some positive things to say along with the negative.
