You put a smile on my face as well...I checked out your video because I own a Dobro Hound Dog. I have possessed/played it for 4 years and I didn't realize that it had an electric pickup jack hidden in the base until i saw this. Admitting to the virtual world that I'm an idiot! Thank you!
Great advice. I used a Blues Driver for a couple years back in the 90's with my stage rig. Great pedal. I always seem to go back to the Tubescreamer though😉. Thanks for watching and commenting!
@@saltyroserocks457 Tube screamer. Is that the Ibanez one that came out to challenge Boss? I’m weird. I have all Boss pedals and will settle if I have to so they all work the same and look similar. Don’t say it... We all have our little quirks. Some people love having their guitars look like they’ve gone through a war and will even pay extra for the look. I consider that “stollen valor,” if not just nuts. I can gig with a guitar for decades without putting a scratch on it.
I own an American made Deluxe Hound dog round neck. Serial number Stamped Directly into the end of the head stock. Most I see these days are made in China.

Lol! ;) Your Welcome!
Hound dog that’s what I named my national tricone steel guitar I bought back in 2002
:)
Early Hound Dog guitars was made in California, U.S.
I got one.
5:28 That low E string tuned to a D? I didn’t see you hit it once. I usually tune the low E up to a G as well so I get a doubled G. Cool!
It’s a low D. Apparently I only play on the top 5 in that tuning. Good eye😎👍. Thanks for watching!
@@saltyroserocks457 I had them done a couple of years ago. lol
Your stuff always puts a smile on my face 👍🏻👍🏻
That is a great compliment! Thank You! :)
Nice honest review -- thx

The pickup is only sounds weak if you don't have something like a Fishman Aura to plug into.
ah ha! I don’t have one of those☹️
✌️😎
Get yourself a Boss Blues Driver, my Friend if you want to compete on stage. May I also recommend a chorus and reverb. But optional.

Thanks for this video. Maybe that would sound better through an acoustic amp. This doesn't sound like the reso I'm after. Thanks again.
Thank you!
Made in CHINA and they want 1700.00 + for a used one!! Thats a Laugh Out Loud JOKE!

These are 699 at guitar center
You were probably looking at a vintage 1930's original Dobro for $1700 bucks.
Not 1700, only $699
made usa?
Asia

You got the real deal!😎👍
A real bluesman say; why put a piece of plastic between your heart and the strings on the guitar?
;)
I wish they would move to Indonesia. I can't afford American made instruments but I also won't support the CCP for obvious humanitarian reasons.
The Squiers coming from the Sammick plant in indo are top notch!
Sounds like a kid's toy
