I agree wholeheartedly. I think it would be better if it was the same shade as the others markers though. Even better if it was at the 6 o'clock position.
It’s the most symmetrical dial I’ve seen in a long time. It’s been mentioned in several other comments, but that date window is breaking the mold right now, he designed a solution that none of the thousands of combined years of watchmaking between the big companies could come up with and it’s so simple.
This is nice. Compressor style watches are becoming more common but this really stands out with that brushed bezel, chamfered case and the date wheel built into an index. Very tempting at that price, I'd probably prefer to see the bracelet too.
I love how the date is integrated to be the same shape of the other 6, 9, and 12 markers. I’ve been wondering for years why no one is doing that. Unique aesthetics to the piece, which is somewhat rare these days.
That’s a stunner! Love the dial layout and the indices…their shimmer is beautiful! I really like that brushed finishing on the top side of the bezel, especially how it transitions from the high polished side. Killer.
Great to see micro brands out preform some of the bigger fish in both quality and cost. I love the date window and what they have done to blend it in to the watch. With the few tweaks you mentioned this may well be my next watch
The watch is eye-catching, indeed. What really caught my eye was your camera work on this one. If I may be so bold, this is some next level showcasing of skill going on here.
I am just mesmerized by this fantastic dial and that date window. I get such a retro sci-fi vibe from this watch, like something a Heinlein character would be wearing heading out to adventure among the stars in a different kind of ship than the Pilgrim. 😉 I will be looking forward to the final product, great review, as always!
Nice watch. To integrate so many authentic details is fantastic. The date window is a clear winner here. For negatives: The rubber strap is an insult to this watch in my opinion. It is a potential diver, but if I bought it i would swap it for leather or nato. Let's be real, we divers have other watches for the sport. Beads of rice bracelet would bring the watch to the next level. If it's out of reach, just replace it with some great nato.
Love the dial, especially the 12, 3, 6, 9 and integrated date (I’m a no date guy). Those lugs are very interesting too, I kept thinking of different ways they could present a bracelet so I’m very glad it’s in the works. I think it’ll need to be as interesting as the lugs but if they do it right I think it could really step up the look of an already handsome watch. Well done Horizon.
Very nice review and professionally presented. I like all the thoughtful design touches too like the date window and cardinal markers. Looks like a labor of love.
The date window disguise is great. So many recognized brands ruin the symmetry of a dial by putting a date in stupid places. I agree with all you said, Pete. Lovely watch.
Thanks Peter for your Time and Effort producing quality reviews. Well done to Horizon. It would be nice for Microbrand Watchmakers to have a comment section on their website, where the public can express their views, opinions, advice Now that would be something.
There is a lot to like about this watch, it's a nice design. I appreciate the effort to integrate the date window but to my eye it looks so small. So it could be questioned whether its necessary at all. But all in all it's another interesting microbrand offering.
Very, very nice looking proportions... I've been leaning heavily into smaller watches recently but the proportions of this 41 look really good. The date window integration is neat, agreed, but I wish/hope there's an option for no-date. That would push this one squarely into my purchase radar, rather than skirting the outside. The price profile is perfect though - spot on. Thanks for spotlighting this piece, Peter!
Handsome watch with some lovely details. Really like the cardinal indices. Reminds me of the oris 65 model with similar ones. A bit out of my price range for a KS but thanks for featuring it.
Great watch Peter! 👍 Great, the bezel lock. For this price, I would like a steel bracelet. It could have been cheaper with a Japanese caliber, some micro-brands offer this choice.😍 Bonne année de 🇲🇫😉
A few have asked about the lume on the date it looks a tad different in colour to the rest of the watch, will you be looking into that? Also any changes to the lume on the bezel? cheers mate
@@PeterKotsa We will try to fix that matching but make it 100% same can't guarantee as different method of applying of lume compared to indices . They have some special material on top for sharp printed numbers above . And Yes , we definitely will improve bezel lume .
Very nice looking watch. Although I'm not a fan of internal bezels, that dial layout is stunning. It would look amazing with a traditional aluminum bezel. I love the 6, 9, an 12 integrated in the applied markers.
Happy New Year Pete. Great watch, really like the original design, and outstanding specs. Good value too. Thank you for sharing and have a wonderful weekend my friend.
Lovely lovely watch! But Ugggghhhh I already have to many watches!!! LOL Right now I'm totally stuck on wearing my 2 Le Jour le Mans Chronographs! So my other watches have gotten substantially less wrist time!! Don't want to be tempted to purchase more! LOL But this is truly a lovely watch! Thanks for sharing Peter! Great video as always! : )
This watch does for the most part tick all the relevant boxes. However, in the absence of a comment on 'the buttery smoothness' of the movement I will reflect further on the matter. Only joking, happy (belated) New year. Keep 'em coming 👍
Sharp looking watch. The date concept is excellent. Also I'm really liking the type face of "Pilgrim." Proportions looks great, and I also really like the overall sizing, and lug profile. Well done.
Bravo Peter. I love to see another innovative time keeper. I enjoyed your review of this kick starter proposal and cannot wait to see further developments such as the bracelet. The buckles angular design is very tool watch and compliments that silicon rubber tapered strap. I do enjoy internal bezels when screwed-down as this one is. That date window incorporated into the time marker was a real stand out moment in this design. The hands are so nicely crafted and shaped. You truly find some unique watches my friend. ⌚
Well done. It doesn’t look like they stripped 5 watch brands to create a frnakstein baby like other micro brands. I love the hands and 3d-ish face with raised markers. Very neat.
Bravo, beautiful piece. Case details and design are different enough to stand out but in a beautiful, classy way. It looks great and has a fantastic movement that is many times found in much more expensive watches. Its rare that a watch maker actually listens to constructive criticism, that advice was taken and for the better. Nice Job and as always, fantastic review. Wishing you and your family only the best for 2023. Keep up the great work.
Tell you what, they have done a great job with that! Loving the balance between the face and the internal bezel and the date window is fantastic, I can’t recall seeing that anywhere else?? But if the whole watch world doesn’t copy that they are mugs. I HATE the seiko 4 o’clock window.
Very very impressive I was sold immediately The case finishing quality has jumped up quite a bit I can really appreciate when a brand listens to criticism and reacts accordingly also very excited to see the bracelet on the watch for the total package No way can I resist after your review my friend and Thanks for that world class lume shot as well 👍
What an absolute beauty!! If they lighten the date wheel a little to match the 12,6,9 colour and tweak the 2 on the 12 index (it looks like it leans left) it will be glorious to my eyes! 👍👍 Thanks, Peter!
I didn't know its predecessor and the improvements are very apparent. Yet, even this I find comes across as too chunky. Sometimes it doesn't matter much what the specks say, still the impression a watch leaves can be too thick, and for me that regrettably still applies here. Not by much, mind. While I quite like many of the details pointed out, it actually brought me to your video for the predecessor. Now, altogether I see potential for a gorgeously distinct watch that is unlikely to ever see the light of day. I'd take that Nautilus, mix in the refinement achieved with this Pilgrim, put it on a slimming course, and produce an art deco inspired gentleman's watch (I avoided using the word dress to eschew strict categories). The hour markers on the Nautilus and even the hands (although they lack contrast against the dark green dial) I find far preferable to what I see here, but I like the elements of this case more. Getting rid of the rotating bezels would enable them to enlarge the dials, so the hands of the Nautilus would no longer clumsily clash with the nicely applied graphic markers. They might even be able to build a full numbers set in that fun font adaptation shown at 6, 9, and 3. As said, very unlikely to happen. I'm surprised that they are producing a second model after pouring some great ideas into what seems like a subpar package the first time around. I wish them well, but hope to see their creative flair making it across to dressier (and more svelte) pieces in the future.
It’s really beautiful. I t would have been great if they went the extra mile with the rubber strap, having it fitted to the case shape. I would have not even felt the need for the steel bracelet in that case.
I see a lot of these inner bezels diver style. Looks nice. Big yes on the screwed bezel crown! My one issue with the type is the bezel is easily disturbed by a touch on the bezel crown.
Great looking watch. The date disc seems to be a bit darker than the rest of the indeces though. Maybe the color matching can be rectified for regular production.
Thanks for sharing this great discovery (for me anyways). I love the fact that they value constructive input. It must be gratifying that they reached out to you and valued YOUR input! Small details make the difference. That integrated date is fantastic and I agree with you about the minute markers; they add texture to the dial but also, as a precision "nut", I like that we can set the watch at the precise time 🤷🏼♂ Happy New Year and I hope 2023 brings you continued success. Well wishes to you and your family 😊
Great looking face of the watch,I have weakness for this retro 3,6,9,12 indexes. Also the date wheel itself is an brilliant idea. The bracelet for this screams beads of rice.
Would normally not be my cup of tea... but somehow I really like it. It has some interesting design elements, like the brushed bezel reminding me somehow of a Patek Philippe Nautilus. The inner rehaut/bezel reminding me a bit of a Blancpain Fifty Fathoms. Pretty sure I have seen the styling of the 6, 9 & 12 somewhere before as well. The texture of the dial works really well, so does the patina lume (maybe it's a little on the too strong side). Bringing it all together so well isn't an easy feat, so: well done indeed! And it says a lot taking good critizicm onboard, listening and improving on the product! Terrific value.
Nice looking watch and seems good value. I like what they did with the date window at 3, but I think it would of looked even better if they had done it at 6.👍
Happy New Year Peter! Great review of this watch, this is something that would interest me and I like it with the rubber strap. I personally think that the price is a bit high but it is definitely an interesting watch.
Beautiful watch. Really nice and refreshing design elements. Reminds me of the Second Hour Mandala or Giant Stride where they offer it at a great price to begin and you wished you bought it before it sold out or prices jumped.
A beautiful watch! Even if the purchase was complicated and customs were very expensive! Purchase price and customs duty = 896 euros. And it becomes clear again that you shouldn't necessarily buy the watch just from the pictures on RUclips. In reality, things sometimes look completely different. I have No. 039 in blue, and I'm satisfied.
I increasingly prefer my watches without date complications. But if you're gonna do it, DAMN that's a cool design. Color match + typeface/shape match + lume. Wow, very nice.
Brilliant. Quite rare to discover microbrand models who are both very good looking and not an homage of an existing watch. Even the name is alright. Not super creative but sounds good enough and does not feel it had been generated by a computer like so many other ones.
Happy New year Peter. Very nice package. I love that movement. If it was a bracelet instead of rubber it would be OTT. Easily a $1000 watch value. Well done Fred.
One of a great watch design that is outstanding one in the watch market. Anyway I love to see them use STP1-11 or LJP G100 instead of SW200-1. Maybe STP1-11 is the most suitable that is cheaper and has more power reserve than SW200-1.
So many microbrands going with the supercompressor style - and I love it. I was at a store yesterday to purchase the one by Spinnaker but they sold out and now that I've seen this one… I think I might wait for the Horizon to be available. Beautiful execution.
HNY Peter! It is a nice watch, I kinda feel like the integrated bracelet sports watch with an edgy case and the super compressor style diver are both overdone designs that I just don't really gravitate towards. But this one actually looks interesting. Would prefer a 20mm lugwidth, or a bracelet option(that you said is coming), and I'm not a huge fan of the Sellitas, I would rather like to see microbrands using LJP movements in 2023 at like 700usd (like Zelos) than 500 and a Sellita. They should have more options in my opinion, but that said, a Sellita is really good and everything we really need.
In hindsight, I think you're right a 20mm lug width would have been nice here. As for the bracelet, looking forward to see what they come up with HNY and stay well 🙏
The date window matching the 12, 6, 9 is so cool. It may be the best date window I’ve ever seen.
ohhhh 😮 you’re right!
Yes! First thing I noticed, too 👍
Vacheron have similar thing
I agree wholeheartedly. I think it would be better if it was the same shade as the others markers though. Even better if it was at the 6 o'clock position.
...if you can read it!
Thanks Pete: Looking forward to the launch!
This truly is the first dual crown watch I’m tempted to own.. the depth of the dial and the shapely yet very wearable case make it stand out!
It’s the most symmetrical dial I’ve seen in a long time. It’s been mentioned in several other comments, but that date window is breaking the mold right now, he designed a solution that none of the thousands of combined years of watchmaking between the big companies could come up with and it’s so simple.
Absolutely agree with you
What a great looking watch. That date window is pure class. This is a superb looking piece. Thanks for the review.
This is nice. Compressor style watches are becoming more common but this really stands out with that brushed bezel, chamfered case and the date wheel built into an index. Very tempting at that price, I'd probably prefer to see the bracelet too.
Very nice looking watch! I'm impressed that the owner has taken onboard constructive criticism and made changes to their second watch.
I like that dial. This watch has a real retro vibe.....nicely done.
I love how the date is integrated to be the same shape of the other 6, 9, and 12 markers. I’ve been wondering for years why no one is doing that.
Unique aesthetics to the piece, which is somewhat rare these days.
Same. Helm does it quite well (especially on the Komodo) but they’re one of the few.
That’s a stunner! Love the dial layout and the indices…their shimmer is beautiful! I really like that brushed finishing on the top side of the bezel, especially how it transitions from the high polished side. Killer.
I think this watch looks original and awesome. Thanks for the showcase!
Great to see micro brands out preform some of the bigger fish in both quality and cost.
I love the date window and what they have done to blend it in to the watch. With the few tweaks you mentioned this may well be my next watch
Cool! Ive been looking for something fresh and unique for a long time, definitely gonna pick one up once they go on sale! Excellent video, thanks!
The watch is eye-catching, indeed. What really caught my eye was your camera work on this one. If I may be so bold, this is some next level showcasing of skill going on here.

first microbrand watch in a long time that i actually want. nice looking diver
That date window is super elegant
Nice watch. To integrate so many authentic details is fantastic. The date window is a clear winner here. For negatives: The rubber strap is an insult to this watch in my opinion. A happy 2023 to you Peter and all. Looking forward to this one. Looks like a nice watch. Well done Fred.
HNY John, cheers bro
Happy new year Pete, and another 1st class review!
The brushed finish looks nice.
Very nice review and professionally presented. I like all the thoughtful design touches too like the date window and cardinal markers. Looks like a labor of love.

That’s a very good idea, there’s nothing like proper feedback
Bravo 👏
There is a lot to like about this watch, it's a nice design. I appreciate the effort to integrate the date window but to my eye it looks so small. So it could be questioned whether its necessary at all. But all in all it's another interesting microbrand offering.
Sharp and interesting. My kind of watch.
I'm glad the he listened because I could never buy a watch without minute marks and I'm probably not alone on this.

There is no perfect watch, but certain watches are special. This is going to be one of them. Well done guys.
The way they integrated the date window… never seen that done better. Surprised the big boys aren’t using that.
Very nice looking watch. Although I'm not a fan of internal bezels, that dial layout is stunning. It would look amazing with a traditional aluminum bezel. I love the 6, 9, an 12 integrated in the applied markers.

Attractive watch! I love the Arabic numeral font and the laser etching on the caseback is attractive. Reminds me of the JLC Polaris. Well done
Great video as always Pete. All the best for 2023 to you and your family
Same..🙏
Very nice piece, intriguing.
Impressive watch, I'll keep an eye on it.
Peter thanks for this video. I’ve been looking at a micro brand to invest in while I save up. This watch is 🔥
That's a refreshingly different well proportioned design. I like it. 👍
This watch does for the most part tick all the relevant boxes. However, in the absence of a comment on 'the buttery smoothness' of the movement I will reflect further on the matter. Only joking, happy (belated) New year. Keep 'em coming 👍
Got to say that’s one of the nicest looking dive watches I’ve seen for a long time. If I had my pick it would be the blue one.
Great review Pete 👍

What a beautiful watch. It reminds me a lot of my Aragon compression diver

Looks really nice, the font and orientation of the dial and markers reminds me of the Oris Diver 65.
Interesting case design, the lugs are especially intriguing.
Great execution on this one. The date treatment is very clever.
Great looking watch. The date disc seems to be a bit darker than the rest of the indeces though. Maybe the color matching can be rectified for regular production.
Thanks for sharing this great discovery (for me anyways).

Im looking forward to see what bracket they come upon with too 👍
Love this date window, more brands should do this
That date window is just pure genius. I think I gotta get me one...
I love that date window! Why don’t others do that?
Nice watch Peter! I can see a bit of Oris 65 Diver which is a good thing!👍🏼😎
Yeah has that divers 65 feel to it, very subtle, but its there for sure 👍
Nice watch, espacially the date window. But overall it appears a bit chunky.
Would normally not be my cup of tea... but somehow I really like it.
It has some interesting design elements, like the brushed bezel reminding me somehow of a Patek Philippe Nautilus. The inner rehaut/bezel reminding me a bit of a Blancpain Fifty Fathoms. Happy new year Paul, yeah could be a tad high price wise, nice too wear and look at though 👍
That's actually a smart looking watch. The price is right too.
Beautiful watch. Really nice and refreshing design elements. Reminds me of the Second Hour Mandala or Giant Stride where they offer it at a great price to begin and you wished you bought it before it sold out or prices jumped.
Mesmerising !!! saved your video
👍
A beautiful watch! Even if the purchase was complicated and customs were very expensive! Purchase price and customs duty = 896 euros.
And it becomes clear again that you shouldn't necessarily buy the watch just from the pictures on RUclips. In reality, things sometimes look completely different. I have No. 039 in blue, and I'm satisfied.
beautiful watch!
Brave move to call your first watch "Nautilus"......
Unbelievable really
Honestly, we deserve the word nautilus back. PP has held onto one of the greatest nautical terms ever hostage and its time we take it back
Franchement, c'est une montre magnifique.
Not sure if I’ve ever seen a duel crown case with art deco character, I think I like it, just not sure about the hour hand for some reason.
Amazing watch. Would love to see the rotating bezel marked with 12 hour markers.
First for 2023. Have a good one Peter
I increasingly prefer my watches without date complications. But if you're gonna do it, DAMN that's a cool design. Color match + typeface/shape match + lume. Wow, very nice.

Pete, you really introduce me to some cracker watches. Definitely considering making some room in the collection for this
Its certainly different for a micro and nice on the eyes 👍
I own the nautilus, loved it, the only downside for me, is the movement.
looking forward for this pilgirm
It is very cool.
Happy New year Peter. Very nice package. I love that movement. If it was a bracelet instead of rubber it would be OTT. Easily a $1000 watch value. Well done Fred.

Hi, thanks for the video. I'd love a GMT on the bezel, but that's me... I do not like that lume. The date frame is genius!
Really like that one! Cheers
Great review, Pete! Thank you.
