In my experience the gameplay in NHL 23 changed drastically going from Play Now/Season/Playoffs to Franchise, despite using identical sliders for both. Wonder if others have found the same. I'd be happily told I did something wrong.
The menus are unbearably slow, play MLB The Show and it's so quick and easy to make trades and run through season after season quickly, you can't go back to EA Sports games after playing games made by companies that don't worship satan
They need to add in the outdoor games again. I know the Winter Classic is a different vibe now since the addition of the Outdoor Series but that should be added into the game.

I dont get how people dont understand what kind of an upgrade this is. Its not "L2ing" its new tech for animations selections and new animations along with it to make actual legit fluid skating that looks real. Its only a good thing.

Completely reworked AI getting rid of legacy code involved there, new animation tech, new visual tech, strategies and playbooks on top of a full franchise revamp to get it ready for connected next year. Thats pretty good for a really small dev team with a 10 month dev cycle.

My wishes: -Overhauled pressure system (A meter throughout the game that gets affected from hits, time left, time spent in zone, dekes, shots, goals, Game 7, Final game of season to have a spot in playoff) There no need to make the system as broken as it is right now, but when your team has the momentum, it should be full rink and have your players have a miniscule speed boost, hits harder etc. - Update to presentation. It's not terrible but it's not great too. I want to see more stats during the game from like PP%, PK% league standing, Goals for in the year (More player stats in game such as point streaks, goal streaks etc.) And instead of showing top 10, maybe show like a slide of a line pairing with pictures and their production past 3-5 games etc. - Make the crowd "brighter" right now, the crowd boo's for when a player injured another and when a team gets absolutely dominated. But if the player who injured someone scores a goal, they don't boo at all lol. I would love to hear more crowd chirp, player chirp in game. -Hot/Cold streaks: Gosh, I remember back in NHL99 I think and 01 on PC (I could be mistaken) but players having an icon when they are in a hot or cold streak and how it would affect some stats. It would be good to have that back in

My only wish for each new NHL is simple - please get rid of the super slow, super laggy, super low responsive menus especially in franchise mode its so slow and laggy it is killing me each year. I am not sure if its the same on xbox, but on PS5 its ridiculous. And no, its not my PS5 because every other game is fine and my friend has the exact same problem with NHL menus on his PS5.
Yes it’s on Xbox as well. Plenty of moving graphics, background animations, and sound effects on all the menus increase file sizes being loaded. My guess is that developing these for old gen tech is what causes this, which ideally gets resolved with next gen only development.

As for someone who only plays Franchise mode, this is soooo welcome! There are things I don't know if they hae been fixed, but I'd love being able to train certain players, like you can earn points and distribute them to certain players to bulk up or work on their speed or something. Also, why can't we edit the goalie masks like with the pads? And being able to shift a player's position (making a right-handed LD switch to RD for example). And come on EA, asian women don't blow the whistle in NHL games. At least make it optional so we who want to play the game as realistic as possible could do so.

i want this game to be good and fun, but NHL24 was a game i stopped playing about about two or three weeks. I'm not into the CHEL/HUT modes and that seems to be the game's sole focus. i hope these new mechanics make the game more fun to play as i didn't really see any major gameplay differences between 22 and 23 and 24.

Will be looking out for the beta. Will be judging it very harshly. Excited to try it, but if my attention isn't captured in that, I will not be buying the game. We were told during the NHL 24 round of interviews that GM Connected was in the cards for 25. Was recently told by another NHL youtuber that it would be too hard for them to do that and that people wouldn't even really want it. Same guy who was shat on by the community for supporting EA in their HUT casino endeavors and is now "no money spent", bro spent his entire year grinding chel 24 and hating on the game... funny how the tables have turned and the tune of the devs is all about "gameplay". Will be looking out for the beta. Will be judging it very harshly. Excited to try it, but if my attention isn't captured in that, I will not be buying the game. We were told during the NHL 24 round of interviews that GM Connected was in the cards for 25. Was recently told by another NHL youtuber that it would be too hard for them to do that and that people wouldn't even really want it. Same guy who was shat on by the community for supporting EA in their HUT casino endeavors and is now "no money spent", bro spent his entire year grinding chel 24 and hating on the game... funny how the tables have turned and the tune of the devs is all about "gameplay". I'll believe it when I play it. Either way TacTix, love watching your videos and I'll be here to support you all the way. I appreciate the content dude! Just don't appreciate paying for a new beta every year :)

I’m a little confused with the visual overhaul on player faces because in the the trailer you see Guhle chasing Jack Hughes but it clearly doesn’t look like Guhle lol.
I mean you can "technically" play the ps5 version handheld as long as you have a playstation portal or wtv it is.

I am excited but I won't get the game till it drops in price. If the starting price is BELOW 79.99 then I will get it right away. Cause NHL games at this point aren't worth that much money.
But all the new stuff looks sick, and I can't wait for what's to come for Franchise Mode! BAP not being touched at all is typical EA, but I bet there will be a bunch of channels that will use the mode to make memes. I hope they change the create team customization menu, I didn't like that they changed it in NHL 24, I liked the one in NHL 23 better.
