- High Probability "ICHIMOKU CLOUD" Day Trading Strategy (My "TOP SECRET" TECHNIQUE). The Ichimoku is one of the most comprehensive technical indicators in modern use.
The Ichimoku indicator paints all the components needed to help visualize the price action better.
Unsurprisingly, it has quickly become the "go-to" indicator for Forex & Stocks traders around the world.
I've been using the ichimoku for 20 years, and this is an excellent presentation.
Let me add that OB and OS conditions can be ascertained with the ichimoku when PA ranges further than usual away from the cloud. A reversal entry can be determined by PA, or by PA closing above the kijun. Once tenken crosses over the kijun, then it reinforces the reversal.

@@million0823 The ichimoku is my favorite, but it's not to say the other indicators don't work. It really comes down to personal preference and how you use them.

@@cheikfrkFirst of all, if your order block strategy has been successful, then hang on to it. Don't bother with ichimoku. You can still plot your strategy on the chart, then use ichimoku as a confluence. Also order blocks can be seen on the ichimoku as seen on the upper and lower limits of the cloud as projected into the past or future.

I use Ichimoku and have had some really nice trades. I use the daily chart because there isn't the noise and confusion of the lower charts. With the daily chart I don't miss good entries and exits.

for those that are confused by the equation notated here. Both Tenkan and Kijun have same formula except for the multiplying by the period at the end. e.g. Tenkan= (PH+PL)/2 multiply 9. Kijun=(PH+PL)/2 multiply 26. Not sure why Trader DNA chose to use different format to the formula and added those - sign between 26 which looks like you should subtract 26 from the PH or PL. Just clarifying they are same equation with different multiples.
Not multiply. But average of Highest and Lowest price for 9,26 PERIOD.... "26-PH", maybe he got from Investopedia. It represent 26period price high, not 26 substract PH

Thanks for your work - but I am slightly confused. At 7:50 the breakout has happened and you say "wait for the crossover". However the subsequent short example has the Tenkan crossover well before the breakout at 9:19? So is the rule for the Tenkan to be on the correct/trade side and the breakout is the entry signal or should that cross over happen AFTER the breakout as part of the setup?

Something that is missing in the video is that the tenkan acts like a spring that price bounces off of and the kijun acts like a brick wall. When the two are together, it's very hard for price to pass through. There has to be a large gap between them for price to pass through and potentially reverse.
Thank you for the info, but I got a question if the Chart is already in a Bullish trend and the two moving averages meet would that be a strong support for the Price, and when the chart is showing a bearish trend and the two moving averages meet would that be a strong resistance for the Price?, unless like you said if there is a gap and the moving averages meet cause of it that would be an indicator for a reversal.
@@marcobarrera9490 At around 10:40 in the vid you can see on the left that the moving averages are moving close together. Price will have a hard time breaking through this. A capitulatory spike down moves the tenkin away from the kijun, creating a gap for it to rebound into and potentially reverse. Another important thing to look for is that the cloud is thin and located away from the moving averages. The cloud also acts as resistance/support because it is essentially the kijun and tenkin of a higher timeframe. If the price and moving averages all converge and the cloud flattens out, I would take profit and wait for another set up. Depending on the timeframe and what you are trading, you could probably get 2 to 3 good 5~8% moves (wins) each quarter consistently. Don't forget to take profit. Remember: slow and steady wins the race.

Great question... 1- this is why i normally put my exit INSIDE the cloud.... when the candels are far from the cloud i'm very quiet 2- i want to see lagging indicator above the price for long (below for short) before opening position 3- I prefer HA candles when using Ichimoku... it helps to reduce false signals.

I used to trade with Bollinger Bands and Volume, I was repeatedly buying and selling because it seemed the trend was changing, but in about 95% of the cases it was only a short term trend, so I added MACD but still that was not very successful.
I have now quit using the BB and just use Ichimoku cloud and MACD. It takes discipline to not sell when the price of BTC drops $800 in 1hr, but if all the indicators withing the Ichimoku cloud show a positive trend over all, trust it. I have HODLed through several drops in which I would have sold with BB.
Ichimoku Cloud is now the only indicator I use along with Volume and MACD, but I rarely even look at the MACD unless one of the Ichimoku indicators shows resistance.

He didn't mention the MOST importing component, the Chikou-span, you need a confirmation with chikou, it has to be free, if it is inside the previous bars there is mostly a resistance or consolidation.
Thanks for your input. It's not the most important but it helps. Also helps complicate the strategy but your point is good for advanced traders
As Orhan said, the Chikou-span is the most important confirmation on the chart. If you are a day trader, it's vital to use. If you enter a trade based on this video, you'll lose money or get stopped out more often than you should.

SIR, When swing trading forex with support/resistance what is reliable time chart to use for S/R levels--is it 4 hour OR 1 hour chart? I would think that 1H ,S/R levels are going to get easily violated if trading is against trend on 4H/Daily chart. Of course entry can be made even on 15 M chart BUT ENTRY HAS TO BE IN THE HIGHER TIME FRAME DIRECTION--I seek your experience.
I noticed an error in your description of the Senkou Span B at 4:09min, in that it is plotted 26 periods forward, not 52, and is the same projection as the Senkou Span A, otherwise the right edge of the screen will not match! It is correct though that it calculates the mid-point of the past 52 periods. Thanks for the great graphics in this video. Cheers!
That's correct
The orator was right, and you're wrong. Senkou soan B is 52 periods.
Let me elaborate - for Senkou Span B the formula is correct using 52 periods, but the data point is projected only 26 periods forward, just like Senkou Span A, otherwise the kumo (cloud) will be weirdly skewed! I think the presenter just mis-spoke at 4:09, when he said "this value is projected 52 periods into the future...". Please refer to Investopedia, Stockcharts, WallStreetMojo, etc for the details.

What time frame should be used for intraday
at 10:30 and 12:12 for the buy signal example, the price/candle did not breakout from the cloud or pass and close above the cloud but you still "took" the trade. why is that? sorry for the question, I am just confused as it doesn't follow your strategy that you showed before the examples.

The cloud is where PA is most comfortable at because it encapsulates the total mean of all pricing activity. Trading opportunities are limited inside the cloud. But there is an 80% chance the candle will hit the other side of the cloud from where it entered.

Thank you for this amazing and helpful video on this indicator no so easy to understand for beginners. I have a question : I understand buying at low price, setting a stop loss down and take profit up but I don't understand the way to earn money in a down trend : sell when high, set stop loss above selling price and exit. Can you explain that point and explain what you mean when you say 'exit'? Thank you.
Im pretty sure you learned it already, but exit is important let's say you have a call contract the expires in a week, fast forward the week is up the expiration date is about to pass, and the price has not reach the strike price and the contract already lost 30% of it value, instead of the contract being worthless when it expires and lose all your money, you go ahead and exit, "a stop loss" and just take the 30% loss instead of a loosing 100% of it. Stop lose means you sell your contracts that lost value because you know they wont reach the strike price by the time of the expiration date. Im new to trading so please correct me if I'm wrong, or have anything to add, trust me i need to learn this too.
@@marcobarrera9490 I had the same confusion and actually posted my question and he replied with his WhatsApp phone number which I messaged him on. I believe for newbies like me who are not trading contracts, we can ignore his SELL arrow shown on his charts. In other words, if you are not trading contracts, once you buy a stock, you can just exit when he indicates/when you want. He is trying to show both conditions on the charts but you may not be using both conditions.
If u work on 1 minute, always check 3, 5, 15 minutes! Also good to check 30, 45, 1 hour. And macd helps to enter . Also ema 300,200,100,50,20, 10 show support and resistance!
If you are going to use all those EMA's, then throw away the ichimoku. I choose to throw away all the EMA's and use the ichimoku. Why do you think it's called one look?

No indicator can help you with entry and exit. Everything lags or is just good in hindsight. Learn price action by yourself. Look for patterns, build your own strategy. No borrowed knowledge will help in this business. All the best, May the person reading this succeed in his trading business 🙏🏼

Lead span a isnt the 26day average, it is the average of the combination to 26 plus 9day perood. İt approximately makes 17.5 day (or candle) period
If you trade like this you wont make money, please this is just a general approach for above/below Kumo style trading. Back-test your trades is free at Trading view , is the best thing to do before you enter a trade on a particular stock . Have a proper written plan for trading the position. Runn your screeners and re-run them before entering. Market is very volatile and most of you may not make money. Yet Ichimoku is the best , the best on starting trading in a disciplined style, like pros.
