    i'm going to try this! i've been experimenting with semi-hydro with my houseplants so i have all the supplies to make wabi-kusa balls. the partially submerged version of your wabi-kusa seem to be an extension of that.

    My favorite is the one with the hydrocotyle tripartita. It gives a really cool texture. Just like on aquascapes, you cannot go wrong with hydrocotyle tripartita.

      Yeah, I agree the mixed one looks the best from the GG but trust me down the road the single species one will turn out just beautiful as well

    I didn't know they used a bunch of wabi kusa balls at that huge takashi amano aquascape in lisbon but it is very smart, that must have made planting such a big tank a lot easier. great video Jurijs!

    Very cool! This is giving me an idea for the lotus if I could do a wabi kusa ball with it and place it in the back of my flex scape where you suggested before! 🤔 thanks mate for sparking that idea!!

    Delightful. These little islands of moss and plants are adorable. I will try to follow your method to make one myself . Are springtails necessary?

      They help compact fungus and algae. Basically your above water clean up crew

    Dein Gallerieschrank sieht richtig edel aus! Verrätst du, wo du die Regale mit dem Glascover her hast, oder handelt es sich um eine DIY-Geschichte? Was nutzt du für die kleinen Becken für LED´s, sie scheinen ja am Regal montiert zu sein. Viele Grüße!

      Of course, I will do it. Now I can already see a lot of new roots growing as well as all the plants have stretched towards the light. The Hydrocotyle tripartita is already all over the place. Definitely a fast growing plant.

      Infinite, as you dose nutrients over the water column and foliage spray

    I am familiar with Studio Aquatica Wabi Kusa Substrate Ball which are readily available at Amazon and other online retailers in the USA. The Studio Aquatica Wabi Kusa Substrate Ball are spherical. You appear to be using something disc shaped. What is the product?

      They plants have to root first, one they are rooted, I can slowly remove the cover
