honestly tho, i've seen hundreds of pieces of media mess up characters even though they had 20-50% of the number of characters DB had. Toriyama is an OG and to be able to make so many likable, awesome and fairly well paced characters is respectable. King Cold is wasted potential yeah but at least we got him, that can lead to some good fanfiction (not that i know of any) by using him as a base. At least King Cold was sorta cool and actually served nicely to the plot (imo that was showing trunks's power and before that, showing how terrifying it could be to fight 2 frieza like people or something idk)

can't remember a time when I was more excited and enthralled.... when it was brand new episodes, other than this era. Saiyan and Namek saga set the bar HIGH. Cell saga..android ..was action packed. Android and Cell was CRAZYYYY Ahh...yes. Pragmatic, along with their speaking and dialogue choice. Estate..broad vocabulary. Delivery was similar. A powerhouse menace, who will do ANYTHING to achieve his goal. There's nothing dull about Cell. He's actually my favorite DBZ villain of all time.

King Cold only served two purposes: 1. To revive Frieza 2. Together with the revived Frieza, to make Trunks look super strong; and by extension the Androids. There's nothing more to him than to advance the story.
We could all imagine him definitely having other forms but it wouldn't be surprising if he didn't have any forms and that Frieza is just built different.

Actually, Cell's ability to produce the Cell Juniors likely originates from Piccolo as it is similar to Namekian reproduction (though the Cell Juniors are released from the remains of his tail) & Pokopen (a variation used by King Piccolo which allows for the creation of mutated offspring which is a Dragon Clan ability in Dragon Ball Online due to them researching King Piccolo's surviving Dark Vassels & their descendants)!
Frieza is just a King Cold Jr. Maybe Cold spawned several and they all fought until only Frieza survived and inherited his throne. Maybe thats how they do that, and maybe thats why they are so vicious from birth.
Umm, I'm pretty sure Cell inherited his ability to produce the Cell Jr.s from Piccolo. Though I wouldn't doubt the idea that King Cold's Cells might have contributed to the process as the Cell Jrs were particularly powerful, as they were able to fight SSJ Grade 2 Vegeta and Trunks to a stand still.

Vegeta was a manchild, freeza was an egomaniac, goku was too carefree and piccolo was still mentally young and learning(just recently became "good"). King cold however was Older and ran an empire for god knows how long, was very observant and looked at things like a Politician/Leader and didnt have a weak mental, his behaviour and manerisms were shown even more as perfect cell, he became Calmer, and more patient.

King cold has nothing to do with cell... Dr gero never knew about goku being able to go super saiyan. Even vegeta mentioned that they did not know anything about fighting on namek. Not even knowing that, they most likely never know about their existence anyway.
It must be from Piccolo. But them being nearly as strong as Cell is definitely a King Cold/Frieza thing, due to Frieza ending up being a mutant with freakish strength, just like King Cold. But the actual process had to have come from Piccolo.

King cold has nothing to do with cell... Dr gero never knew about goku being able to go super saiyan. Even vegeta mentioned that they did not know anything about fighting on namek. Not even knowing that, they most likely never know about their existence anyway.

The Cell Jts thing made me laugh cuz its entirely possible he got it from any other fighter's DNA

But them being nearly as strong as Cell is definitely a King Cold/Frieza thing, due to Frieza ending up being a mutant with freakish strength, just like King Cold.
But the actual process had to have come from Piccolo.
I think the cell Juniors come from Piccolo sales because demon King Piccolo made his versions of his children
They messed cell up with Heros .... I went there
Decades later I still don't accept how fast future Trunks killed King Cold. King Cold should have had an arc either before or after Frieza
Perfect cell seems to have a similar personality to king cold
