Bigger beginner at 205lbs. Big DW board and big 1800 foil. Bought the 5.0 (as shown here) only to have a few San Diego snobs say they “came through here a few years ago with poor reviews”. However, I wanted a smaller wing with power so I’ll continue to trust the fast board and MA type foil as I struggle standing
Robby has been my hero for years from the windsurfing days, but I just prefer the Duotone boom handling, so much easier. Those conditions look awesome!!
Awesome wings I ride a 3m, 4m, 5m Matador wings using my 3m more then any other wing in winds as low as 12 knots to also nothing and still stay on foil. All wings are super powerful as long as you like small handles Wings are super light, just need the new 6m LH as well for the super light days.
What would you estimate upper end of usable wind range to be for 3m?
Hi depending on what board your riding a 3m Ive used in different conditions from 15-38knots. I also have a 6m LT I can get up in 6-8 knots
He speaks the truth! The Matador has amazing low end power, light, and tough, but I could do with a 5, a 4 , and a 3 to cover the local wind range, But, it's worth it for the 'locked in' feel of the wing.
I can't wait for it to be available in Ireland, I also have the S62 6M and the Hover Wing Foil mixed with the Jet 200 and this in a 4M would be a perfect fit
I tried it way more power and easy to go upwind
So this is the better choice for light wind conditions vs the regular wing surfer?
DOES IT WORK ON A REGULAR BOARD WITHOUT FOIL !?
Of course but it's very challenging to stay upwind without a foil
