hi, i got the same clock and im experiencing a problem, the brightness seems to be insanely low, I can barely see the time anymore ;( yesterday it worked perfectly and I tried different batteries

I'm really confused, should I buy the DGT 3000 and have nonelectronic chessboard and I can train on that or do I need electronic board with the digital 3000? Or should I buy square off because it has an AI ? Thanks for answering.
For me, buying digital 3000 should be only for a digital board, it it's not, I buy a basic one but it's 5x time cheaper
You left out the most important parts. For example how do you set a manual delay?
so, I know I'm about 8 years too late, but when I press the button to indicate a move has been made, the timer for that player continues to count down without switching. How do I fix this? (its every time, not on specific presets and I've already tried the basic things such as hitting the power button.)
Could you please do a video on how to update the card in the clock with computer pi please?

How does it compare to the DGT XL as far as build quality? The sounds that come from this 3000 when buttons are pressed or when its placed on the table sound like this clock is cheaply built

I bought the dgt 3000 limited. I'm not happy with the contrast of the display. Is there a way I can adjust it?
I bought one too and my display is dim and looks nothing like the ones in other videos. Other users have reported the same so it seems to be a issue with certain clocks. I would give it back.

Can someone please tell me how to adjust the volume of the beeps when the sound is set for "on".
At present I can only hear the beeps if I hold the clock right up to my ear and even then they are very faint. I put in brand new alkaline batteries but that didn't help. I do get the little musical note appearing on the display window indicating the sound is switched to "on" though, but that's it.

Gordon, there isn’t a volume control for the 3000. It sounds defective, and should be replaced. Please contact wherever you purchased it.

It's not displayed by default. It is secondary information always available with a single button press.

Yes, that's the FREEZE option, shown in the video when the snowflake icon is explained. The FREEZE option, when ON, will stop the clock for both players when one of the times reaches zero. If the FREEZE option is OFF, then the player that reaches zero first will have a flashing FLAG icon but the clock will keep discounting time from the other player. If neither player "sees" that one of them has run out of time and both times reach zero... then the flag will disappear and both times will remain on zero. This technically means it becomes impossible to identify who flagged first and depending on special situations on the chess board, most often it is resolved as a draw. However, if using the FISCHER bonus mode, then the flag icon will never disappear, even if the FREEZE is OFF.

Is this clock good for blitz, i mean is it durable? And the button clatter is too loud IMHO.
+predvoditel1 The clock has a quiet dull thud when the button is pressed. It's good for blitz and is on the international competition scene quite a lot.

Can you plz recommend me a chess clock with 1 minute time available? Is dgt 3000 able to have 1 minute?
Do I need digital board to use dgt 3000, or I can use it with any board I like with no problem?

1 min is bullet speed and there's a huge temptation to hit the clock hard! The DGT 3000 is a delicate unit and it's not advisable to use it for even blitz games... Except the players are tame enough not to bang out their speed on the clock!
You may however use the custom settings from 26-30 to set whichever game control you desire.
You may use it with any chess board of course... Whenever a digiboard shows up, your DGT 3000 is ready to pair😂😂😂

Once I configure the manual setting for 26 option, can I reset it or will it remain there for ever? I set it to some dummy value for checking and now I am not able to reset!
You can "reset" it by setting it back to ZERO in all categories... and in TIME mode.

How to setup for Armageddon time control (5 munites for White, 4 minutes for black with a 3 second increment starting from move 60)
That is explained in the manual itself. It says there that you have to choose FISCH mode (that is Fischer Bonus mode) and manually edit the different times for each player in the Period 1. SO you put 5 for White and 4 for Black, with 0 seconds of added bonus. Then you ser the move control limit for Period 1 as 60. This means the game will start as a 5 vs 4 minutes game, but with 0 seconds increments (that's the trick...), then after move 60, you set the time for Period 2 as 0.00 minutes, with 3 seconds bonus increment. And voila! You have your Armageddon preset ready. You have to set the clock exactly like this (using FISCH mode with 0 seconds increment for Period 1) because otherwise it will not allow you to configure a Time Control for a particular number of moves.

It's an amount of time in which a certain number of moves must be made. Another way of saying this is "first time control" i.e., 40 moves in 90 minutes would be the first TC or period, then it might follow with 60 minutes for the rest of the game.

How do I know if my DGT 3000 is low on battery?
If the battery voltage is very low, a battery low indicator will light up on the display.
Also if you press the + and - button simultaneously you will first see the firmware version and with the second press the battery percentage. This is only for the DGT 3000.

Joseph Sobol I would say yes, but not quite as good as the Chronos. Watch for the GMS-300 clock coming very soon. It's better than the Chronos.
