Thanks for the video. I’m due to get mine a couple days. I sure hope my experience is as good as yours. I’m going to use it to commute to work. 8 miles or so. One way . I have two vehicles and I’m just sick of the wear and tear on them of driving back-and-forth to work so I think this will save me some gas and some repair bills .It’s pretty cool that you provide“how to“ videos. they will be extremely helpful thank you so much for this awesome channel.
hey man I got my q20 to commute to work as well about 16miles total to and from work, I've had mine for a week now I love it. my first day riding to work I left at 4:30 and was full throttling it on speed 5 because I was gonna be late lol but now I just leave at like 4:20 and cruise on mode 3 at 20mph and I get to work perfectly at 4:55am ish
hey that's cool. kinda funny..... I work 5am to 2pm. so i probably work the same shift you do. how ironic. Did you have any issues with assembly ect. when you first got it?@@Mike-hb4ur
You are very welcome. I will continue to provide videos. I too use mine to commute to save wear-and-tear on my vehicle, save a LOT of money on gas, and it's just relaxing to unwind from the day. Ride safe.
Thank you for the reassurance! Ive been doing my research to get a e-bike for months now and i cant look away from the Q20. Im a member of the Facebook group as well and subscribe to your channel for all the news about it. Someone posted on Facebook that Ridstar might not help anymore with the battery and LCD but like you said there are other parts for it elswhere just need to stock up on breaks and other things. I will be getting a Ridstar Q20 in the near future now feeling with more confidence about it.
It sounds like you have a clear understanding of what you are looking at with the Q20. I love mine, but Ridstar the company does kind of suck. Ride safe.
i cant seem to get the rotors (im assuming) to stop rubbing against the calipers causing a grinding noise while I'm riding. Ive took it to the bike shop three times and they couldn't get it to stop scraping despite adjusting the brakes several times. Any suggestions?
There can be several options such as, contaminated brake pads or rotors, other option is sticky pistons which is most likely the case, if the rotor isn’t bent or contaminated. Also brake pads could be worn out or contaminated too, if both pads and rotor is contaminated then you should change both.
I have this same problem. Just assembled the bike brand new. Front and back are rubbing bad when I ride. And the fluids in my front brakes are already leaking and don’t work at all. This is my second bike also the first one had a smashed lcd screen.
@@viiktoorr they told me the fork on the bike could be flexing because he has the same problem when riding his mountain bike with the the brakes grinding occasionally.
@@StefMan30 I feel like I have the same issue on my bike as well. Haven't noticed any brakes leaking but there is a loud grinding noise when I ride. I've been told that the brake pads need to be worn in but im not sure.
Yes, I would and ABSOLUTELY with the warranty. I say this because my adult son has a high-end ebike and has had no less issues. He's actually had more issues. So I can't say that spending more makes it any better.
My bike had so many problems when I got mine the breaks came broken my screen came broken my battery rail came broken the company fixed it all good for 100 miles then the fuse blew idk how I put another one and it blew again now I’m just waiting for them to send me replacement fuses
Which is better for you? M5 LCD or S866 LCD? My Q20 with 500km ODO encounter a problem. M5 LCD is not turning ON. But horn and lights are still working.
I figured all these cheap bikes would use the same parts that would be readily available? I'm surprised to hear these are proprietary brakes. Are they any good? My Amyet G60 has pretty bad brakes that Im probably gonna replace
quick question. What about the brake pads, I understand they can be a bit difficult to find replacements for. Do you have a reliable source for brake pads or would you recommend changing the calipers and if so what calipers would you recommend
I find them on ebay, but look carefully to make sure they are the right ones. Ultimately, I would be shopping for a replacement in the future. I'm at 800 miles on the original set, but I also try to be efficient when I ride.
Does anyone have their contact/email?? I just received this bike today. And I’m missing the headlight components that attach to the bike!! Do they send missing parts ?

1300 miles with my Q20 still running stock brakes and tires 0 problems.

after the hardships would you buy again just recommend the 2 year warranty?

If your bike is blowing fuses, there is a bigger problem. Fuses should be blowing and them sending you new fuses won't correct it.
The only problem I've had is brake noise, but otherwise it's been perfect.
Same with me
yeah the brakes on mine squeak loud
I will do a video on the brakes and what you can do. However, disc brakes are often just noisy and very much so in different temps.

does Ridstar sell on their own site now?
Not that I'm aware of. I always recommend through Amazon and buy the warranty Amazon offers.
@@Ridstar_Q20 for me in Greece it's unavailable that's why I'm asking, oof
Aliexpress online is the other option I know of - if they are available to you.
