This is exactly what I was thinking the whole time watching this video. It’s such an inobvious way to hide secrets that it makes you wonder how on earth they expected us to find it on our own, especially as kids

BraedenRox there’s nine worlds, they probably played world world mushroom and world flower before they got to world 6, so yes, they are technically on world 8, and the ninth world is world star. And also that means YOU’RE playing the wrong version if there is less then 8 worlds.
Here's my ranking of the secret exits from easiest to hardest. 3-4: The pipe is in plain sight. You just need a Tanooki leaf. Mushroom-Ghost House: You just need to notice the door appear. 3-Ghost House: If you notice the hole in the wall and have a Tanooki leaf, you're set. Flower-Ghost House: Since you're in freefall, you might not notice the hole. But once you see it, it's easy. 4-Tower: The pipe is in plain sight, but some might not think to go through it. 5-A: Just need to notice the vine. 2-Ghost House: This vine is in an invisible block, making it harder to find. 6-Ghost House: Long sequence of obscure paths required, but easy to pull off once you memorize it. 5-Ghost House: Invisible vine in a spot that is not easy to notice. Mushroom-1: Yet another invisible vine... 1-Tower: Easy once you know where it is, but how will anyone think to let the snake blocks push them through the side of the level? 4-Ghost House: The door is high up, making it difficult to notice, and the series of wall-jumps required makes it even harder. Flower-1: Who's ever gonna think to stand on a flying ? block and ride it to a secret area? 5-1: Not one, but TWO invisible vines required plus several difficult Koopa jumps. 3-Tower: Mini-mushroom required, need to rush to the pipe while it's still on screen, and then still need to survive a long tower section, probably as Mini-Mario.
Just a quick thank you for all of your Mario videos. Yours are actually the only ones I can tolerate - quick and to the point without dilly-assing about. The narrative is direct, helpful and you don't talk a load of crap on top. Great job!
I cannot seem to get through the part after the second Beanstalk in 5-1. Can't jump on all the Ducks without dying. I either look suicidal because I jump out intending to land on a duck but instead plunge to my death or keep hitting them the wrong way, get smaller & smaller then die.
Awesome, thank you, especially for world 5-1. After the 1st beanstalk, on the rope thing, you know there's a 1-up block above the coin block, right? I didn't want to go through all the comments to find out. So if you already know, awesome.
While some levels hassled me on secret exits I got most of them open. You sir, are great at explaining how to get the secret levels acsessed. Good job!

5-A Alternate route to secret exit: If you missed the spring, don't worry, there's a alternate way to get the secret exit. 1. Get a running start at the flagpole to build up speed and jump to hit the beanstalk block to the secret exit. 2. (REQUIRES TANOOKI SUIT) Run back and forth between the edge of the platform and the bottom of the flagpole until you have enough P-Power to fly into the beanstalk. 3. Do not somehow miss the secret exit. Or else... You're a stupid noob and there is literally no way to die there other than the time running out. Good luck. 😜
For ALL OF YOU who actually didnt get the 4º Star (unlock all the paths in the game), i think i know the problem. World 5, Stage A (Golden Ship). Surely many of you have completed using the secret exit, but you have forgotten to complete the level using the normal exit, who is another path. Sry about my english, but i think it can help.
hey gamexplain, i need help. whenever i play world STAR-2 in coin rush mode, i collect 600 coins, but i want to double them by touching the top of the flagpole. it's almost impossible to do it, considering the fact that i have 15 seconds, a moving platform, and a red koopa in my way. what is a good way to touch the top of ANY flagpole effenciently (i spelled that wrong) and quickly, specifically the one in world STAR-2? thanks.
I've had a hard time trying to figure out why I didn't get the five stars. My problem was level 5-A, in which I did get the secret exit, but I never finished the level with the regular flagpole. Now I can rest in peace guys.
Never Mind! Got all the secrets (Forgot one in 3-Ghost House!) and also got 1110 Lives :D! Thanks Andre for showing me where all Star and Moon coins are! :D

Okay for people that say they have unlocked every secret exit and whatever and don't have the star, go through the game and every level that is a red dot instead of a blue dot, complete without using the white raccoon Mario, regardless if there is a secret exit on that level or not.
thanks for the help, all I needed was 3-ghosthouse! now I have all shiny stars! btw another way to get shiny stars is redo all the red-not flashing levels, then beat the final boss! now I have all 5 shiny stars, that is the most easiest 5 star game I ever played!

actually for the secret exit in 5-A you don't need the springboard you just need to jump high for the been stock and the with the normal raccoon suit run left and right so you can fly. Then climb the been stock its pretty easy.

At 4:56 there's is an extra place for the ending... Once you get to the door keep going right till you com e upon an extra room were you can grab some extra coins and a 1-up :)

Actually you can in World 2-4 go into the level as raccoon Mario (or Luigi) and go to the part where you slide under the wall there is a question mark box inside is a star :) and you can get infinite stars too by quickly hitting all the coin ? boxes which will now have stars if you want I can make a video response?

For the 5-A secret exit you actually don't need the spring. If you have a Tanooki Leaf you can get enough speed to fly up and hit the blocks

1. Use the paratroopa as a boost.
2. Use a damn tanooki suit.

It's because you completed some levels with the gold raccoon Mario (red) and others with out(blue)
