Re in Amador (allegedly) lived about 400 years prior to the Portuguese leaving the island. The Portuguese colonizers were much less racist than the British so my impression is that continental anglophone Africans don't understand racial relations in São Tome or their relationship with Portugal and the Portuguese. Of course there is and was resentment and hatred but not like in other parts of Africa.
