- Restoration of a Lionel 3656 Cattle Stock Yard and Cattle car, and the 3472 Automatic Refrigerated Milk Car and platform restoration. I sand blasted and painted both pieces. Let me know if you have either of these. It took me 2 or 3 months to finish them both.
Neat Thank You! We find ourselves spending hours at time just tuning and tweaking! Go figure, a labor of Luv! I like trains. Be Well
Yes, some of those accessories take some patience to get working correctly. It's very satisfying when you get them working. A Love of the hobby!
Great job😊
Thanks, they took a long time to finish.
Awesome job man!
Thanks!
Hey David you did and awesome job restoring these two cars , I remember seeing these as a kid . My Dad had the milk car in American Flyer. Are you going to add them to the layout ? Thanks for sharing .
Thanks, they are fun accessories. I plan to make room for them on the layout.
Great video! I restored my cattle corral platform. Works great…. BUT the cattle car door isn’t opening. The little plunger inside stays in the down position.
I'll have to go back and see how it is supposed to work. Make sure the wiring is correct and see if you can test it with leads directly to the plunger or on the car.
@@dbtech7914 thanks for responding. I since got mine working. It was wire falling off the shoe. Just had to re solder.
Great to hear. That is usually the problem. Those small wires break off and you don't notice it sometimes.
Hello. I have a question about the 3656 car itself. The ramp or track inside the car has three holes in it that correspond to three holes in the metal chassis. Were there supposed to be vibration washers here? Mine has nothing. The track is basically free-floating. Thank you for your help.....

Thanks for watching. It looks like there is supposed to be a pad on each end of the track and one in the middle. I cut a piece of felt pad that would go on the bottom of a piece of furniture and glued it on.
Thank you@@dbtech7914
Hi, could please share more information about the paint (like the reference number or specific name)? I am interested in renewing mine.
I got the paint from Henning's Trains in Lansdale. If call them or show up or check their website, they have the information on the paint. Green 800, Yellow 58. Those are the colors you need.
@@dbtech7914thank you!
You're welcome. Hope to see it finished.
