Love & recommend the EcoFlow product line. Purchased the Delta Pro3 [4kW] when it was released in June. It just got me through Hurricane Helene here in FL. [No power 3 days] Recently purchased both the new Delta3 [1 kW] for the home office as a UPS & the new River3 bundles with solar panels & bags. On the diesel fuel gelling in low temps, if the manufacturer doesn't say otherwise, it's not a bad idea for the diesel fuel additive. Just use a good quality one. [Power Service Diesel Fuel Anti-Gel 26 oz. is $12.98 at Walmart.]
That diesel heater glow plug pulls way less wattage than mine does. Mine would overload the DC output of the River 3, it needs over 140 watts. So it seems this probably wouldn't start up all diesel heaters. Nice find on a diesel heater that pulls less wattage as the glow plug is kicking on. Is that an advertised feature of that model?
@@sherburnoutdoors my diesel heater pulls over 140w, and many other videos I have seen also do the same. The vevor models get really close to 140 watts, maybe they are around 135w? The model you have there at 100w is a pretty interesting low draw.
@@Jasonoid i know I got all stoked with the title of this video - but after seeing the glow plug of his heater only needs 100W bummed me out - my vevor wouldn't run from this since it needs close to 140W..
@jasonoid I have the same issue with my diesel heater as you described. (140 watts +/-) What are you using for your power source? I thought this was going to be it until I saw what his draw was. So disappointed
@@dlangwell1 yeah, it's misleading for sure. I use a normal 12v LFP battery to power my diesel heater. Some power stations have a higher DC output that would work.
Question re the diesel heater. In your experience running a diesel heater (Wippro) would it require diesel fuel conditioner to prevent gelling in winter conditions say 5 below F? Ty
@@sarahdell4042 these were the results. This new unit is pretty efficient. It is only cranking up to 95 to 100W on the glow plug but it does not last that long.
@@sherburnoutdoorsYour heater is way more efficient then mine. Looking online, it appears this brand is no longer on Amazon? I like the side exit exhaust. Mine comes out from the bottom, so I have to lug around a stand so it doesn’t burn anything on the ground.
Does this support pass through charging via solar? In other words, if it's 30 watts / hour and I hook up a 110 watt panel, will it top it back up every day while running the heater?
i want to buy the ecoflow river 3 . but i ljved in asia country, specificalky malaysia. i tried asking people around my country but no one want to buy it because lower prices and they still got old stock . and here we got no official seller . so im rrealky want it . if anyone got someone who can shipping to malaysia please help us . i guess as much.
Hi there, I noticed you used content from my video on the River 2 compared to the River 3. I would appreciate it if you gave credit or asked for permission. It's not cool to take another youtuber's work and show it as your own.
@solarguy, I did credit you on the clip and was surprised when I saw your note. I went back and looked in final cut pro project and realized I had the layering incorrect and the credit was behind the pic. I apologize and was not trying to take your work. This was an oversite and I always credit peoples contributions. Sorry for any issues
How can you say that its almost comparable to the Pecron 300lfp???? the Peron has 43 more wh's has 3 more outputs and costs less. The Pecron is also a UPS unit which you don't have listed on your chart. The Pecron also has a 600 watt inverter compared to the 300 watt inverter that comes in the River 3. There is no comparison here the Pecron beats the River 3 hands down. If you want to compare with other brands then e fair about it.

I have only used Wippro and Vevor diesel heaters and have not had an issue with the power stations both on Bluetti and Ecoflow

I just snagged one of these AND a set of 45W solar panels for $199 on Amazon! Super excited because it's my first Ecoflow.
I saw that deal and it is a good one
How? These are only like 200ish WH?
The diesel heater glow plugs crank pretty hard on fire up alone
