I know what you mean. I am a UK fan. Saw them a few times over here. Love this band. Just listening to this makes me realise how much they mean to people and how good they were.
The reason I became an airline pilot! Sometimes I still listen to this song, when I am on layovers. It humbles me and makes me feel extremely grateful for my life and my journey!
3:08 - 4:40.....one of the all-time great choruses in Australian music....they just go for it....bloody hell they pull it off. What made Powderfinger so good was their musical tastes (Zep, Stones, Neil You, Beatles) and great talent - a wonderful combination. I grew up in Brisbane, Australia, and the 'finger were on and off the radio for a solid two decades with wonderful rock songs. They're up there with Cold Chisel, Midnight Oil and the Skyhooks, imo. Thanks for the memory guys...
Yes .. I was there. Amazing performance. Absolutely surreal. This video does no justice to the sound Powderfinger that night. It shadowed the show Silverchair put on . That night Powderfinger got my total respect. I heard their last show on the Gold coast as my factory was near parklands. Seriously. Powderfinger tore it up that night
i love the fact that they give so many shoutouts to Brisbane (eg. the orange taxi's in this, the QR train in 'My Happiness' etc.) but they are still subtle about it. you don't get bands like that these days :)
They even have an album called "Vulture Street" (which is the street outside the Gabba) and the former name of "South Bank: station near Kangaroo Point and Woollongabba
@@adrianpooley4901 It's also where the old recording studio was. The literally named the album off the street where it was recorded. One of the more well known streets as well I guess. Pretty cool that Vulture St is a stones throw away from the GoBetween Bridge (named after the band).
These guys were huge and could do no wrong . So many bands that make a couple of good albums then fade away . Still the lucky country and we were lucky to have these guys .
Covid exposed Australia for the joke colony that it is and always was. Here you are spouting your pride on a song and band that are absolutely lost on you. Its beyond embarrassing

I was lucky enough to see these guys when my Mum took me to a concert when I was twelve years old. Their support was The Cat Empire, and although I found it scary and intimidating at 12 years old, it was awe inspiring and I am grateful for the experience. It made me the musician I am today. My mother was a drug addict, but she inadvertently gave me a passion for music, so for thatI am thankful. Every cloud has that silver lining. I may have been born an addict baby, but I have such an appreciation for music, and as far as I'm concerned, I am grateful for my gift, despite all the hard times!
Reminiscing, thinking back to the good old cover band days in late 90s/2000s. So many good pub memories with Powder Finger in the background. Can’t believe this song has 72k viewers only 😮
to comment i need to sign in that means this music will stop for a second or two till i sign in. as much as i hate cutting this music off, people MUST know how awesome powderfinger is! you live forever.
Powder Finger would of had to of been one of the hardest working bands in the early 90's. They appeared to do more live gigs than most. This was one of my faves & I liked the video.
Powderfinger and Magic Dirt, for sure. At as a youngster at the height of their fame, I appreciate all the all-ages shows they went out of their way to do. ❤
Watched them in hobart tasmania last night they played this it was fucking great, bit suprised the crowd wernt into this song as much as some of the others. totally underated song!! They sound briilliant as a band too
Now this is what you call real aussie 90's music from powderfinger I love it pete AU falcon taxies. never thought id see another one Sounds tacky but I got Goosebumps listening to this song again. One of my all time favourite bands.
My teenage son asked me what song he would like to have played. I replied 'Passenger'. After listening to it he said 'You have good taste in music.' There you go, bridging the gap.

I know what you mean. I am a UK fan. Saw them a few times over here. Love this band. Just listening to this makes me realise how much they mean to people and how good they were.
Exactamundo, they did not overstayed their welcome.
Clearly there's more than one metric, so.
Well she's a junkified unit always had been so yeah that is part of the limited success etc only 1 of her solo songs r any good...
Yes they didn’t stop living there lives
This definitely helped them make good relatable stuff for everyone
Now this is what you call real aussie 90's music from powderfinger I love it pete
Still my favourite band for 28 years! So lucky to have seen sunsets tour, songs never get tired of listening too
The reason I became an airline pilot! Sometimes I still listen to this song, when I am on layovers. It humbles me and makes me feel extremely grateful for my life and my journey!

Hmmmm.... As much as I love this is album to bits, it'd probably be in the top 50 albums of the 90's...
