They don't... at least not that much imo. You know not all of them work hard, or give 100% on the field. It should never be a player that deems what he should be paid. Ultimately it is the owners who deem what they are able to afford to pay you. If you don't like it you can move onto another team potentially.

am I wrong in saying all the extensive workouts athletes do now actually make them for fragile and susceptible to injury? layers of fat can help aid not getting hurt
I agree but only for repeatedly lifting heavy all this videos workouts only help for stability of muscles and ligaments. IMO
Yea you're wrong . Flexibility and coordination prevent injury , not an extra padding of fat . That's why they invented hex pads on compression shirts and shorts , even under the typical football pads

@@oldben1800 you know the answer to that is way more nuanced than "that extra layer of fat helps protect them " lol try overtraining , not enough stretching , load management, maybe some athletes are taking supps that weaken their joints . The list goes on and it's a CASE BY CASE basis . Not a 1 size fits all reason there are ACL injuries
