Mathematics, Statistics, Python Programming, and work hard to get into IIIT or IITs. Plan for PhD. Read Alan Turing articles on computing, and many initial ML articles - to get an Idea. There are two types of jobs. Data Engineers & Data Scientists. Data Engineers need Engineering skills/background, Scientists need PhD. After 5 to 6 years of working as Data Engineer, one may become Data Scientist.

Sir, Could you explain about SAS. I'm from M.sc Chemistry. I want to switch to software side. So my friends suggest me to learn SAS. Please explain about complete SAS details.
In your case you need to understand this. Software is two types.. development software & application software. Development software is most people learn Java, C, Python etc...
Application software is industry specific, like ERP, Inventory management etc... Examples are Oracle, SAP, SalesForce etx..
SAS is statistical application software.
If you already have experience in chemical industry.. you better to learn software related to that industry. May be Oracle, SAP etc..may be useful to you.
SAS is stats software, I don't know how it is used in chemical industry. If you know specific opportunities you can give a try. It may be useful in pharma industry.. material science is not that mature in India..I am not sure again.
With in application software There is something else known as functional and technical domains. Functional experts will understand different softwares (application) and tos available in the specific industry. Then develop solutions.
Technical experts are more into the software..they need to learn in & out of software applications. But they won't have overall picture like functional experts.
Being M.Sc I suggest research on how to become a functional expert..
If you want to develop software for chemical industry..then again you need to learn development software.

All good institutes cost more than 1.5 lacs. IITs have courses, also I heard insofe is good. Also my friend took 3 months course at IIIT. Good luck.
