That`s quite a statement considering that The Beach Boys, The Byrds and The Mamas + Papas had grandiose harmonies before Jefferson Airplane came along. I like Jefferson Airplane too though.
I saw them at Radio City Aug. 29th, 1989. 30:00 "You wrote all these songs before you knew you were going to be the Jefferson Airplane". I assume she's talking about the songs on the then new album. Sorry, that was me in the bathroom. The interviewer is reasking the same questions of each group. And they're giving the same answers. As Marty said they have to be there to get paid.
Justran across these videos, Ilivedwith them inthe big house, 1970,73! .Isure missallofthem. My friends, Imcarryingonthe dream asbestIcan.😎👍🎻🎸🎸🎹Somewhereout therewaitingona, Wonder.🎹❤️🥁🥁😪😀,Yeah.
What a fun interview especially when Jack joined in, Marty is absolutely gorgeous with blond hair, I almost met him, Marty was a visionary with extraordinary talent
Phenomenal interview , visceral unfiltered no filler and no bullshit.
Jefferson Airplane WAS ahead of their time, their vocal harmonies are to this day in 2023 groundbreaking, and some of their lyrics were as well!!!

@@mistamycall The Jefferson Airplane had a harder edge to their music than any of those bands did.

Tough to like most of that record, BUT the live tour and their playing of their old songs was fantastic.
Casady has some huge hands, like a professional athlete. No wonder he was able to make that bass sound like a growling demon.
You can tell she's originally from here in Chicago. Her whole affect, personality, sense of humor and accent reeks Chicago. lol
Marjock
Have you ever seen Paul Kantner when he didn't have a cigarette ?
Never
He doesn't have one now.
Thanks for the upload. Who is the interviewer, and when and where was it broadcast?
U are good.
Wheres is jorma and jack?
I saw them and even Marty!
Can anyone tell me who’s who? Not sure which ones are Jorma, Jack, and Marty respectively
Jorma has long hair, Jack wears sunglasses and he's the one that comes late, and Marty has green shirt
@@ela3148 you’re awesome thanks!
Yada yada
Boy, are they humorless and full of themselves for a band that just released “Planes” as a single.
Jorma really didn’t want to do a JA reunion. The whole thing was a bad idea.
for them to record a new album in 1989 was a bad idea. the tour was a success and a crowd-pleaser, except for you of course
They are both bores
@Marchosias_Rex begone negative troll back under the rock....
