@@nRomanLatin I know that wahadat-ul-wujood was summarily rejected by Athari school. Ashari school is split on this. So it depends who the school belongs to. Mohiuddin ibn Arabi, Jalaluddin Rumi, Fakhr al-Din al-Razi who are considered to belong to Ashari school accept wahadat-ul-wujood. Again anything can be disputed. But that's what I came to understand.

One might like to explore Vishishta Advaita (qualified Non-duality), as shared by Ramanujacharya (1017-1137 CE). And also Advaita Vedanta (pure Non-duality). The depiction of the Truth at its most radical! When it was realised is undated and undateable. However, the earliest known scripture as i am aware of depicting it is Yoga Vashishtam, which dates back to over 12,000 years. Advaita is as radical as the Truth can possibly be. The Christians have this ha it if saying that God is Love but they don't mean it months literal sense. I have a question here. When hazrat junaid baghdadi said the off cycle is the makam of fana then if everything is fana at that time, how do they witness that fana or off cycle.
I understood it as: Witnessing means not actually witnessing it, but developing a clear undoubted visualization of the off cycle. It's more of a firm belief and conviction in the fact of us being fana and He being Al-Hai ul Qayyum, Al-Muhyi ul Mumeet... Or say when the Noor of these blessed names of Allah penetrates our heart the light helps us to identify and embrace our fana..

The title is incorrect. He's not talking about *wahdat al-wujud* here, he's talking about Ash'ari occasionalism. In other words, this is *kalam* theology, not really Sufi metaphysics as the title incorrectly suggests.

I guess you need to study nahw, sarf, balagha, ilm ul lugha, usul ul tafsir, tafaseer, tafsir ishari, etc. to understand the verses of the relevant Qu'ran ayah, but. here are some translations for you. 😅 “God is the Outward and the Inward” (Qu’ran 57:3). “He for whom wisdom is given, he truly has received abundant good” (Qu’ran 2:269). “It is not you who slew; it was God. When you threw (a handful of dust), it was not your act, but God's” (Anfal 8:17). “Indeed, those who pledge allegiance to you, [O Muhammad] - they are actually pledging allegiance to Allah. The hand of Allah is over their hands. So he who breaks his word only breaks it to the detriment of himself. And he who fulfills that which he has promised Allah - He will give him a great reward.” (Fath 48:10). “It was We who created man, and We know what dark suggestions his soul makes to him: for We are nearer to him than his jugular vein. (Quaff 50:16)”. “He is with you, wherever you are” (57: 4).
He is describing Ashari occassionalism not wahdat ul wujud. Both doctrines are, however, false. Allah is not creating and destroying the universe continuously. Furthermore, Hamza Yusuf said Allah is doing every act, this is an apparent statement of heresy because it means Allah is the doer of every sinful act, the heresy of the Mujbira who say Allah is the real doer of the act and the human is only said to do his own deeds metaphorically.

I have known that sufiyyah exists since I been Muslim but no one ever that they are Muslim and they prescribe to learn meta physics as well. It's alot of things that I begin to see is hidden for some reason. I like to mention that the Emerald Tablet of Thoth was first translsted and put into the arabic language by a Muslim. Are there any Muslims who have read this book in the Arabic language and what's the name of it in the Arabic language. Akhi did you not watch the first part of the video? He literally stated that Allah is present in every part of creation with his "Qayummiya" in that the whole universe is dependent on him. Every action that happens its Allah that is causing it. Like in the example of the fire, it's Allah that either causes the fire to burn or not. The fire in its nature is powerless, Allah is the one in control of every frame of life. He only made it his sunnah that the fire burns. He only made it his sunnah that the knife cuts. In reality, Allah is creating every instance. Allah makes the opening for the knife to cut. That's what Imam Al Gazzali was arguing in Tahfut Al Falasifa (The incoherence of philosophers). That's the belief of the Ash'ari school, watch Hamza Yusufs video on cause and effect (also on RUclips just type Hamza Yusuf cause and effect). This is not to be confused with Wuhdat Al Wujud, the title is sooooooo misleading. The Ash'ari belief is that Allah is with us with His knowledge. To believe that Allah is with us in His essence is the belief of the Jahmiyya, it would take someone out of Ahulu Sunnah and out of the Ash'ari sunni school which Hamza Yusuf follows. The context of the video is very important. You can't take statements out of context.

But the way Hamza Yusuf worded the conclusion of the fire/movie frames analogy is very close to the definition of 'wihdat al wujood'. When he says "Allah is immediate and present in his creation," that doesn't leave much room for interpretation. There are many things I like about Hamza Yusuf, but I will steer away from anything he says that relates to Aqeedah, and I advise you do the same. Wallahu a'alam.
@@WorldCitizen333 I appreciate the respectful response, however, I am certain that if you were to go meet Shaykh Hamza Yusuf and ask him yourself then he will for sure clarify that he does not believe that. For one, he is an Ash'ari in aqeedah and will not go against his own school and teachers. Our Aqeedah is that Allah's knowledge is everywhere, and as stated in the Aqeedah of Imam Al Tahawi, the six directions do not contain Him. Based off many other clear cut instances of shaykh Hamza Yusuf affirming that point many times, making assumptions about the Shaykhs Aqeedah should not be done. We should always assume that he is sticking to his school and teachers, and if there is any doubt one needs to ask for clarification from the shaykh rather than spread short clips online. May Allah bless you and make us from those that truly love and follow the Messenger of Allah ﷺ

Wahdatul Wajood is a shirkiya concept, based on budhist and hindu concepts mainly adopted by sufi muslims. it has nothing to do with islamic concept of God or creation of universe.

Notice how he quickly said "allah is present in his creation " and then changed the subject. Muslims, beware of him. He is not here with anything good for us.

This is absolutely unacceptable, it goes against the most basics principles of Al-Islam. Allaah is NOT in his creation, with this understanding is Allaah in animals? Plants? But that's what I came to understand.

The Christians have this ha it if saying that God is Love but they don't mean it months literal sense. I have a question here. When hazrat junaid baghdadi said the off cycle is the makam of fana then if everything is fana at that time, how do they witness that fana or off cycle.
I understood it as: Witnessing means not actually witnessing it, but developing a clear undoubted visualization of the off cycle. It's more of a firm belief and conviction in the fact of us being fana and He being Al-Hai ul Qayyum, Al-Muhyi ul Mumeet... Or say when the Noor of these blessed names of Allah penetrates our heart the light helps us to identify and embrace our fana..

So he who breaks his word only breaks it to the detriment of himself. And he who fulfills that which he has promised Allah - He will give him a great reward.” (Fath 48:10).
“It was We who created man, and We know what dark suggestions his soul makes to him: for We are nearer to him than his jugular vein. (Quaff 50:16)”.

He is describing Ashari occassionalism not wahdat ul wujud. Both doctrines are, however, false. Allah is not creating and destroying the universe continuously. Furthermore, Hamza Yusuf said Allah is doing every act, this is an apparent statement of heresy because it means Allah is the doer of every sinful act, the heresy of the Mujbira who say Allah is the real doer of the act and the human is only said to do his own deeds metaphorically.

I have known that sufiyyah exists since I been Muslim but no one ever that they are Muslim and they prescribe to learn meta physics as well. It's alot of things that I begin to see is hidden for some reason. I like to mention that the Emerald Tablet of Thoth was first translsted and put into the arabic language by a Muslim. Are there any Muslims who have read this book in the Arabic language and what's the name of it in the Arabic language. Akhi did you not watch the first part of the video? He literally stated that Allah is present in every part of creation with his "Qayummiya" in that the whole universe is dependent on him. Every action that happens its Allah that is causing it. Like in the example of the fire, it's Allah that either causes the fire to burn or not. The fire in its nature is powerless, Allah is the one in control of every frame of life. He only made it his sunnah that the fire burns. He only made it his sunnah that the knife cuts. In reality, Allah is creating every instance. Allah makes the opening for the knife to cut. That's what Imam Al Gazzali was arguing in Tahfut Al Falasifa (The incoherence of philosophers). That's the belief of the Ash'ari school, watch Hamza Yusufs video on cause and effect (also on RUclips just type Hamza Yusuf cause and effect). This is not to be confused with Wuhdat Al Wujud, the title is sooooooo misleading. The Ash'ari belief is that Allah is with us with His knowledge. To believe that Allah is with us in His essence is the belief of the Jahmiyya, it would take someone out of Ahulu Sunnah and out of the Ash'ari sunni school which Hamza Yusuf follows. The context of the video is very important. You can't take statements out of context.

But the way Hamza Yusuf worded the conclusion of the fire/movie frames analogy is very close to the definition of 'wihdat al wujood'. When he says "Allah is immediate and present in his creation," that doesn't leave much room for interpretation.
There are many things I like about Hamza Yusuf, but I will steer away from anything he says that relates to Aqeedah, and I advise you do the same. Wallahu a'alam.

For one, he is an Ash'ari in aqeedah and will not go against his own school and teachers. Our Aqeedah is that Allah's knowledge is everywhere, and as stated in the Aqeedah of Imam Al Tahawi, the six directions do not contain Him. Based off many other clear cut instances of shaykh Hamza Yusuf affirming that point many times, making assumptions about the Shaykhs Aqeedah should not be done. We should always assume that he is sticking to his school and teachers, and if there is any doubt one needs to ask for clarification from the shaykh rather than spread short clips online. May Allah bless you and make us from those that truly love and follow the Messenger of Allah ﷺ

This is absolutely unacceptable, it goes against the most basics principles of Al-Islam. Allaah is NOT in his creation, with this understanding is Allaah in animals? Plants? Jinns?, Allaah is far greater & nothing like his creation. Also who preceded him in this speech? Ibn Sina shared similar beliefs & he was known for severe blasphemy statements, he was a deviant.

@Abdul Aziz almost every prominent Islamic scholar has been declared a Kafir from ibn hanbal to al ghazali( whose books were publicly burned) to ibn taymiyyah(the hanafi scholars said that whosoever didn't declare ibn taymiyyah a Kafir he himself is a Kafir)and ibn arabi, and don't like the ottomans, they were a disaster on Muslims and they are the reason why Muslims are socially and scientifically backwards today
