      I was airborne at like 45mph, came down wrong and ate shit. Flipped over twice then my entire body folded over like a taco and I smashed my face/mouth into my knees and had an enormous bottom lip for like 2 weeks lol

      @@supershadow230, catching an edge is where your board rotates on the x axis but you don't roll the snowboard to the corresponding direction so your board will dig into the snow and you get launched into the ground

      @@John-yg2rt catching the back edge is so brutal. Like being body slammed by a mountain.

    this video is what i think normal snowboarding for intermediates should be at flagstaff az but instead we get videos showing people just carving all day from top to the bottom at 30 mph which bores me

    this must have been filmed during the week (mon-fri) cus there are no people anywhere, best time to fly for sure. It would be dope if Snowbowl had a race track like in the Olympics.

    Spent my whole life in Colorado, ride Keystone and Breckenridge on a weekly basis... But for the next year I will be down in Arizona going to school. How does AZ snowbowl compare to Colorado?

    • @davidwhite1371
      @davidwhite1371  9 лет назад +5

      Snowbowl is extremely different than huge, mega resorts like Keystone and Breck. There are advantages and disadvantages. If you get snowbowl when it's good, it's as good as anywhere else. Steep terrain. Great trees. Great backcountry access to truly big mountain zones. It just doesn't snow as consistently. Way fewer people to compete with for pow than in Colorado. You can find good snow in the trees for days and days after a storm. Long story short that resort does the best it can with its limited resources, and as a rider so should you:)

    Maybe 50-55 mph, but you can't go 80 on that grade lol. Your terminal velocity in a free fall dive is like 120. Gosh one plankers are dumb. Wait, I am one

      Olympic Alpine downhill racers on 210+ cm skis wearing spandex barely clock 90mph . The guy in this video is doing 60mph tops.

    • @petkopetkov7858

      Free fall at 120 if you are facing the earth with your entire body at maximum drag, 160-180 if you are going head first, which is like a 40 to 60 difference. Having that said add another 40 to 60 to your 50 to get an idea of what is achievable by professionals and in the mean time the record for a snowboard is 126.3 ;)

  • @JukeboxHero371

    Its nothing compared to Keystone and Breckenridge i would dream to go there on a weekly basis! Arizona has rarely been getting any good snow and the terrain parks are nothing.

  • @xeyex6818

    Where's your helmet dude? If you get a good knock to the head without one, it might ruin your ability to ever do it again. Not worth it in my opinion. I just found it ironic how at the end of your vid you posted to obey the park signs yet you took no responsibility for your OWN safty!

    • @deadtome44
      @deadtome44 3 года назад +1

      Slamming groomers like this with no one around is not really a big risk for an experienced boarder. It’s always wise to wear a helmet but I’m sure this guy feels totally comfortable at speed.
