Spectrum Receivers | AR410 | AR620 - 1st Look - Binding & FailSafe Setup
HTML-код
- Опубликовано: 7 фев 2025
- Quick bench review of the new Spectrum Receivers and we setup the failsaife. No external antenna no bind plug. Seems like Spectrum took a play from the Quad Receiver PlayBook. Finally we dont need those stinking Bind Plugs.
Another new feature - Telemetry. Built into the receivers is telemetry that automatically delivers vital info to your Spektrum transmitter. Frame losses or holds and see receiver voltage status in real-time.

Hey Guys,
What do you think? Trust the New RX or Stick with the Old?
Installed the AR 410 on my 1990 Goldberg Electra and Upgraded it to LiPo and Brushless motor. It is great! Flew it to 1000 feet and perfect signal response with my Spektrum DX8G2
I have a simple question can these receivers be used in a 60 size airplane with glow engines?
Example Great planes cub with
OS 70..
Bought a 410 today off eBay. A bit wary as wasn't sure what I was actually buying. You guys have put my mind at ease.... cheers...from England.
Consider a comedy show. Really. I will spend the rest of the day smiling about you guys.
Thanks ?
@@graysonhobby absolutely a compliment. And why are you up so early?
Thanks guys. I have the newSPMAR 620 Sport receiver and the lingo on the thing didn't make any sense to me. Your video helped me a bunch. I wish I saw your videos before I bought some stuff. I will return and hope to purchase some of you inventory.
Thanks
Scott
Hi. Thanks for watching
I hope the range is good with that new style antenna on those receivers.
Cool. You can press the button after power-on to enter bind too, as long as you haven't connected to a transmitter yet.
Thanks!
I just got one. Smells fine.
Thank you so much!!!
I didn't know how to setup failsafe and my plane's setup was wrong.
so I read the instruction but it didn't work.
but I find you guys and now my plane's failsafe setup is successful.
thanks again:)
can I pair the new Receiver AR410 4 CHANNEL SPORT RECEIVER and the AR620 6 CHANNEL SPORT RECEIVER from Spektrum to my old dxe from Spektrum
Excellent review Will & Basil !!
are there antenna less recovers compatible to the spectrum DX3 Radio.
Will the AR620 work with my Flex Jet which the vendor recommends the AR8010T which have given me major issues and just stop working for some reason. 79.00 a pop is not good for something that fails after 6 minutes of use they suck. Spektrum got to do better needs XRSL connection will the data port take care of this requirement using an Aura8 in the Jet
Cool review guys, I ordered mine 9/9/18, shipping usually 1 no more than 2 days ...its going on 6 days! (tear rolls down cheek lol)
Help! - I need to remove the casing for a lightweight application but ... after taking off the 'lid', the board is 'stuck' in the shell... there is no good grip to pull the board out and it is sticking much more than I am comfortable with when pulling :(
Any advice about how to pull out the board from the case? Thanx!
Thanks! So glad I watched this before trying to hook it up with my battlebot
Not sure how well this build in antenna really works. Flying a SIG 4star
with a Spektrum DX6 and this AR620 for 9 minutes I get 138 frame
losses. There is nothing in the way of the RX that can obstruct a
signal. The battery is 6" away and I stayed within 500 to 600 ft max. A
satellite can NOT be added. Horizon told me to set the frame loss alarm
to 20 !!! Is this RX safe to use???
4:00 to get to anything related to the title of the video 6:10 to get to failsafe setup.
Is it safe to say that there is no safe select or AS3X on this?
Any idea what happens if the bind button is accidentally pressed momentarily or held down during use? Say something shifts and the foam I have the receiver wrapped in presses the bind button down. Will I lose signal? I hate having any possibility of a button press killing my connection to the RX.
I have been using one, even on a CF quad it works excellent and has a better range than my diversity antenna. The only question I have, is this a serial receiver? i have it set up using PWM and want to switch to less latency.
Hello, what is the maximum range of this receiver, thank you.
When you put it in "safe mode" the radio is off right? Than hold "bind button " while turning the radio "on" right? My AeroScout just wont go on safe mode although I do everything you do with my AR410
These are not safe receivers
Thanks for the info but to make it easier to understand key information it would be useful if you didn’t talk over each other!
does it have any RSSI or signal indicator/telemetry/strength ?
For future readers yes this will tell you RSSI, signal strength and telemetry for your battery voltage going to the receiver. But of course you need a radio that is capable of displaying this info. The range is very good.
I personnely hate that the new receivers don't label the channels. Its now 1234etc.I prefer all, elev,Rudd, thro.I just got a new horizon hobbies V900 and the AR636 receiver is labeled 123456 !! AH I hate it.
Binding Order:
1: Plug the battery
2: Push and hold bind button until orange light starts flashing.
According to Spektrum Tech Talk you do not have to hold the bind button while plugging in the battery to enter bind mode. You can plug in the battery and then just hold down the bind button for a few seconds and it will enter bind mode. Makes not needing three hands!
Good to know, we will give it a try
Did I hear correctly, both the 4ch and 6ch receivers have full TELEMETRY capability?
Read the manual for which port to use?? Just use the radio's monitor function. As stated everything can be assigned to any channel so makes sense to number them and not label them.
Question. What model are you putting that in? Is that a FPV bnf plane? Really curious to know and would very possibly purchase on if it is!

ruclips.net/video/cmPIdlezOg4/видео.html Hi with these new receivers when the plane is bind and the servo's or one servo needs reversing do we need to rebind the receiver again like the older one's . ?
To the beardless guy...SHUT UP. I'm trying to hear the other guy tell me which plug goes where, and all I can hear is you yapping how you're confused. We got it the 1st time.
Anyone install one directly by there battery and work okay ?
can they be used in a quad?
Left bank was right aileron !!!!?
Well... S#@T!
Let's just say it was for a quadcopter...Could you inform me... and.. I'm sure many other schmucks like me who were sold the ar620 reciever with the DXe transmitter for a quadcopter build.. I'm trying to get it hooked up to a SPF3 flight controller!
Any and all help is appriciated!
thanks, love you.
Cool post!!!
range test it pleazz :)
Go and listen to the Spektrum Tach talk about these and the range. It beats the range of those with external wire antennas! ruclips.net/video/YhvL1iK28iM/видео.html
My guess is the range will suffer compared to two outer antenna ste at 90 degrees offset.
Hmm
do a video on eachine tyro 99
Thank you
SORRY!! I only replied once!! Don't know how or why it got posted 4 times.
Why iscit most of your planes are always sold out? Wouldn't it be easier just to release a listing of what you actually carried? I noticed none of your older planes were even available, so mabe time to redo your channel. I have purchased a few items from you in the past but wading through a huge list of not available just seems a waste of time and effort. This receiver is pretty much in tune with the more modern transmitters. No bind plug needed. My never DX6 doesn't require a bind plug anyways. I am wondering if these receivers should offer a boosted external satellite antenna like the more expencive ones.
Your funny 💥🕺💥
Love your Vieds. I start FPV Drone with Spektrum send me some testobject :D greetz from Austria.
Your ailerons are reversed ! Failsafe will be of no help !! lol
@ :14 - No Bind Button? Instead of bashing Spektrum read the product specs first then make your conclusions. Other than that - good review.
Sorry, miss spoke, should of said bind plug
Spektrum is junk ..
