Yep. The depression may have been real, most likely caused *by* the ban, but the fact is that after Klitschko Fury was effectively banned from boxing until the end of 2017. He and his team did a masterful job of just depicting it as being a case of the depression being the reason for his time out of the ring, I don't think I ever heard any sports presenters/media etc talking about how it was also due to a drug ban.

We’re over it! Fury will retire when he looses again to usyk- if he actually fights him a second time. Joshua doesn’t need fury. Fury’s burnt too many bridges with the fans. He won’t be missed.

I had a chat with an amateur boxer who was adamant that Joshua would win their first fight. When I told him Usyk would undress Joshua, he laughed at me.
As one of the people who knew (and was called a clown, casual, hater) many, many, many, manymanymany times I can absolutely say, for 90 +% of people, they were surprised when he beat AJ. Fury is a bit different, he ducked for two years and by the time the fight took place everybody had finally gotten the hint

Not sure why you didn’t mention Fury turning down multiple offers and demanding 50 percent to fight AJ back when AJ was unified champion and Fury was still beltless. It was after the first Wilder fight. Fury said it was 50 percent or nothing because he was the lineal champion. He’s been ruining fights for years. He and Wilder both destroyed AJ’s shot at Undisputed. It should have been AJ vs Wilder or AJ vs Fury long before Usyk was even there.

It's especially impressive considering Usyk is smaller in height & reach, weight, a natural cruiserweight basically.. 2nd fight shoul've been UD too with Joshua, however I think if they'd fight again how Joshua looks recently he might just beat Usyk now. Fury too, in theory but Usyk has great mental upperhand after he convincingly beat Fury..

Two former unified, multiple time world champions, both British, never fought the other and to prove once and for all who is #2 behind Usyk (barring Fury getting a win against him in the rematch). Fury and Joshua are still the most prominent players in the division and the fight would always be massive, at least in the UK.

Rematched him twice as he knew he can beat him and then what? Chisora? or Whyte? or Ngannou? None of them were any real risk for him, that's why he fought them and finally, after many months of not doing anything he was forced to fight Usyk who he knew he has little chance of beating
Fury was never going to fight AJ. He was always scared, that's why he tried to stop AJ's style by concistenly saying he is a body builder (aj's size and strength scared him)
Id like to see Fury' in a tough fight go all out to win, regardless of the risk of losing or possibly getting hurt. He criticizes others of being fearful in the ring , but he isnt a brave fighter himself and if he doesn't fight like one in his rematch versus Usyk, he will lose again.

Neither of them wanted the AJ fight and that draw, rematch, and arbitration nonsense was not why the fight didn’t happen. The deliberately froze AJ out from fight one. Boxing broke my heart again. It is hard to arrange a Tyson Fury fight when at times he was only fighting every 14-18 months. Oh well....they both lost Usyk. Time went on without AJ V Fury...

This fight doesn’t ever happen. Fury knows he would get his ass whooped by Joshua. That said, I console myself by watching reruns of that delightful 9th round of Fury Usyk.
If Fury beats Usyk in their rematch and Joshua beats Dubois then this is still the biggest fight in the heavyweight division today and one of the top 20 fights in the heavyweight history. If Joshua beats Dubois but Fury loses to Usyk then it'd be the biggest title defence for Joshua and still one of the top 100 fights in the heavyweight division history. If they both lose it becomes one of the greatest British heavyweight fights but the rest of the world might not be so hyped about it. Will it ever happen? Who knows.

This is the end of an era. A decade of where the right fights for the public could have been made but it did not happen for whatever reason. The ultimate chess players were Usyk and his team. They won the era, unless any other of the top 10 can pull off a promotional joint effort with their boxer and team to make the right fight and make it happen. There is only one untold story left in this mix, his name is Joseph Parker who on the rise from defeat can possibly topple the top three.
Joshua and Fury both have net worths in the high 8 low 9 figure range. The only thing stopping them from fighting each other is themselves.... they will both make 8 figures from the fight regardless and each is trying to wait til the other seems to be at a low point.

Saudi Arabian money has given boxers a massively inflated opinion of their own value. To have Wembley sold out, in front of your countrymen and fans would have been something to fight for in itself 10 years ago, not worth their time nowadays.
You don’t just need to see the champion and that’s it. There is good fights to made at all levels involving lots of different fighters. Clarke vs wardley was a great fight and I know neither would beat Usyk Wouldn’t be much of a sport if there was just a world champion and if you lost that was it

6:25 I’ve only ever seen a certain large kickboxing promotion based in Tokyo contract for one title challenger and it always struck me the amount of contingencies they had lined up. In K1 you cant draw but if he usurped the champion but extension rounds were needed to break the draw, the former champ would get the right to trigger rematch. If he knocked out the champion, he doesn’t even need to try book. And if he just won the bout, he’d be A side but have to atleast come to the table essentially. There’s NO DOUBT Wilder had it written in that should he ever lose his belt , he gets a crack to win it back. And a draw isn’t losing your belt so a third fight would be standard. I imagine fury entertained talks about Joshua j in knowing he had a rematch to not appear he was afraid of losing to Joshua while having plausible deniability once he was mandated to fight wilder again. If Fury doesn’t fight and beat AJ then he has no legacy. He has a terrible record. He’s only beaten Klitchsko right at the end of his career and Wilder, who everyone agrees is one of the most limited champions of all time. AJs record is only slightly better. AJ is a former Olympic Gold medalist, former 2x Unfiied HW Champion potentially about to be a 3x HW Champion, has fought the most top 10 fighters of all current HW's. I predict that Fury will NEVER fight Joshua. He will lose again to Usyk if it’s a fairly scored fight, then RETIRE because he knows AJ will knock him out. Well it will happen this has many times in boxing for example Mike Tyson,Evander Holyfield and Lennox Lewis all took a while to fight each other possibly ducking each other but Mike Tyson and Holyfield would eventually 9 years later than fight again year later than Lennox would fight Holyfield 2 years later than 3 years later Tyson and Lewis would eventually. 6:25 I’ve only ever seen a certain large kickboxing promotion based in Tokyo contract for one title challenger and it always struck me the amount of contingencies they had lined up. In K1 you cant draw but if he usurped the champion but extension rounds were needed to break the draw, the former champ would get the right to trigger rematch. If he knocked out the champion, he doesn’t even need to try book. And if he just won the bout, he’d be A side but have to atleast come to the table essentially.

If Fury doesn’t fight and beat AJ then he has no legacy. He has a terrible record. He’s only beaten Klitchsko right at the end of his career and Wilder, who everyone agrees is one of the most limited champions of all time. AJs record is only slightly better. Neither of them come anywhere near the Hall of Fame.
AJ is a former Olympic Gold medalist, former 2x Unfiied HW Champion potentially about to be a 3x HW Champion, has fought the most top 10 fighters of all current HW's. Of course he's approaching HOF if not already. He is also listed as one of 4 boxers in history to regain his titles in an immediate rematch.
Common sense shows his achievements are HOF worthy.

I predict that Fury will NEVER fight Joshua. He will lose again to Usyk if it’s a fairly scored fight, then RETIRE because he knows AJ will knock him out. Especially after being ringside for AJ v Ngannou. Fury made a mental note to himself that night - ‘never fight Anthony Joshua but ACT like you will’. If he loses OR wins the Usyk rematch, Fury will retire as champion with one ‘avenged’ defeat. He will NOT RISK a second defeat against AJ proving AJ as higher in this era than himself. Well it will happen this has many times in boxing for example Mike Tyson,Evander Holyfield and Lennox Lewis all took a while to fight each other possibly ducking each other but Mike Tyson and Holyfield would eventually 9 years later than fight again year later than Lennox would fight Holyfield 2 years later than 3 years later Tyson and Lewis would eventually. Also Mayweather and pacquioa would take 15 years to fight each other but eventually they did meet in the ring a fought just saying I still think within a couple years Joshua and Fury will fight

I feel like the best case scenario involves Usyk winning, (if he loses I'm sure there will be Fury vs Usyk 3) and either retiring or going back down to cruiserweight, the possibility of which he mentioned, while Joshua beats Dubois for the IBF belt, we get Fury vs Joshua for the IBF and perhaps a couple of the vacant belts.

I think its no curse, i think its simple business. I mean he isnt blind, he can get serious money out of Persian Gulf people. Issue is they arnt blind either and even tho they have alot of money, negotiations and making "good deal" is fun for such people.
