The book with Bernard Shaw's plays is gorgeous with wonderful illustrations! Such a book should not be thrown in the trash, throwing away books is a sign of ignorance.
Some crafters use old chenille bedspreads to create pillows & such. Like the cutter quilts that are thread bare or damaged, old chenille is so soft when washed correctly. Esp the pale blue color!
I bought a Battenberg lace tablecloth and matching napkins in the Caribbean decades ago; still brand new in packaging to this day. It is beautiful! I hope you’re feeling better❤️🩹
Great haul guys. I love all your projects. The rolling pins look amazing as do the bookends and the recipe box. I really love the bird transfers Jami, they are on3 if my favourite transfers. Zeb, that chopping board looks great with just the tung oil on it, it looks brand new now. TFS and have a Merry Christmas.
Always interesting what mix of things you find in the bins. I love the pewter pitcher and some of the books. As for your painting projects, I love them all but especially the recipe box and bookends.
I have an original raggedy and doll. It has the I love you heart on her chest. I don’t know if you knew that I’m older so also when you go to the Goodwill, you should wear gloves I got cut in there so many times had to get stitches once.
We dont have a goodwill bins here . There is a goodwill last chance store though . The vast majority is clothing , but there are a couple book bins . I do believe Im gonna have to start taking a good in there now after seeing all the good books you find . 😮😮😮😮
That French cookbook you found at the bins today is a collectible! Extremely utilized in French culture and by French cooking enthusiasts. What is the black and white angel you used on the rolling pin? Thank you! Amazing thrift flips, as usual!
Zeb… if you ever come across this book that you were looking at “ The Egg and I “ it was green pick it up. You have to watch the movie. It is the best. It is so funny.😅
All of my decor comes from Thrifting, but I have only been to the Goodwill bin store once. It was just so dirty that I could not do it. You should be wearing gloves. That being said, you did find some great stuff.
People have ruined resale stores….they are meant to help people less fortunate than others not to make money for people who can afford to help those people. It makes me donate to churches instead.
But it doesn't sell. Most people who are less fortunate usually go for clothes and leave the other stuff (at leadt in my area). You see how much stuff is at the bins; no one wanted that stuff and it's the last chance to get it. If no one buys it, they take it to the landfill. So at least some of the stuff is saved from the landfill.
@@retired5218exactly, plus in my area almost every church has a free clothing closet for people, plus buy nothing groups that give free clothing and household goods to people in need. There are plenty of places where people without minimal or no funds can get help.
That book “The Egg and I” was written by Betty McDonald. She also wrote the Miss Piggle Wiggle books. You should have grabbed it!
I LOVED Miss Piggle Wiggle. ❤
Oh my daughters loved Miss Piggle Wiggle. My youngest (26 now) is nicknamed from one of the characters in the books. 😊
@@susansmith8942 it was my favorite book series growing up and I have bought the sets for each of my grandchildren.
"The Egg and I" has the first appearance of Ma and Pa Kettle.
She also wrote The Plague and I, along with others. So good.
I love the recipe box…and those books look so cool together! All the different patterns and colors!
The recipe box turned out adorable!
I'm so very happy we found a channel that's real not so fake love watching your videos
I find it amazing that so many vintage books are in the carts. They are gold! Thanks, as always, for sharing.
That rolling pin is beautiful! The bird box too!
Nice to see even the “professionals” have lackluster days at the bins too! Loved all the flips- they came out great.
I love when people save old books from the bins

It was fun to get my black friday order today and see Jami's signiture. You warmed my heart!

The pattern of the crocheted afghan is called “Navajo Tears” and was very popular in the 70’s.
I think those chenille bedspreads can be dyed. Might be too much work for a resale situation, but might be worth a try.
Looks to me like there is plenty of stuff for everyone. You are doing a service with the work that you do.

I love the book ends- think they would look amazing with a faux dark bronze finish- like similar 1920/30 style
I have an exact copy of that GH Storybook!

My mother and I call our goodwill bins the digging store.
What about selling children’s books in lots?
Hi Jami & Zeb
Zen, do you have to sand with 220 after the 80 grit?
I wish the blue Chanel was not so brown and messed up
Yes

Is the box with the birds sold?

Why don't you ever try to keep the shoes in pairs together. You just shoot them one way and then the other?
