Am a 57 year bloke, seen ALL the bands over my lifetime from Pnk Floyd, stanglers, New Order , Bigaudi Dunamite, Longtalldhorty, SLF , and many many many many more . Happened to tune into Radio one yesterday while on a 2 hour drive home, Listened to this band I never heard of before Young blud. Blown away , this young man has soul, talent and a vocie to kill for . Incredible talent and what a band !

Honestly, I think it's amazing, I can't stop listening to it. He completely recreated the song. From dreamy indie pop to agressive punk orchestral ballad. Great atmosphere, great build up, and the strained, raw vocals kind of work too.
I understand what do you mean by raw vocals but sorry mate this was not even close to average .. he's out of scale most of the times...music arrangement isn't bad but not good either...its alright ...but the vocals they are overstressed and sounded like he is having hard time dealing with constipation.. overall total fail .. I like yungblud though ❤
I agree! I'm in my 40's and have been listening to Dom since February 2019. Watching his growth as a vocalist, songwriter and performer have been an amazing thing to watch! I've seen him live 3x and I just adore him. This is my second favorite cover next to "GodIsALucidHeartShapedBox". They are both so amazing! 🖤🩷🖤🩷🖤🩷🖤🩷🖤
@@YourFavoriteSwiftie yes I’ve also seen him live and he was amazing both vocally and has a performer, he kept jumping like a rabbit and engaging with the crowd. I’ve also briefly met him and he was very sweet, he hugged me and kissed my cheek while asking if I enjoyed the show and you could see in his smile and eyes that he’s genuinely happy with what he’s doing and meeting fans. I adore him as a musician and as a person and I love what he’s been doing for mental health awareness as a person struggling with BPD and feeling very lonely and different because of it. (Btw this cover also goes in my favourite covers of him with the one he did a mashup of Black Sabbath and another song which I don’t remember, if you didn’t hear it I suggest you to do it because it’s so good)🖤

Okay, just have to say what a beautiful performance, and I love Yungblud, no doubt about it. But man....let's give it up to the band as well! He can only be as good as the people with him, and I thoroughly enjoyed watching the string instrument performers, too....so into it! Also, love it when Yungblud does covers because it may be something I had never heard, like this one, and it makes me go and listen to the original, which gives them the recognition they deserve too. Better than the original. A touch of Alex Turner in his voice at times. For me, Dom excels at this kind of music, his voice is pure emotion, this is the direction his music should be going in.
I like hearing the emphasis on lyrics that we might have missed by even slightly switching genres. Makes you wanna revisit things. They draw attention to a Era that could of went unsurpassed we just didn't hold the same knowledge in our hands.
Very expressive, overall a great performance. I don’t like this song but that’s just my personal taste however great use of dynamics and some interesting harmonies remind me of the Arctic Monkeys with a personality change and a little bit more chaos in a good way.
