She actually was not the original actress Marvel hired. Marvel first got Emily Blunt as BW, but she ended up dropping out due to schedule conflicts with "Gulliver's Travels," so Marvel then got Scarlett.

I have always liked her. She seems like such a natural, relatable, classy, wise actress and person. She seems like the kind of person you could be best friends with if you’re not full of BS. Never been nominated for an Oscar, that is sure to change this year. She will most likely be nominated for Marriage Story, but her performance in Jojo Rabbit is my personal favorite of hers and definitely one of the very best of the year.
Such a disappointment for a breakdown of this actress’s career. Like many others have mentioned it, she’s got a long and incredibly prolific career, and this only focused on her most recent projects.

One of the great things about Jojo Rabbit and Marriage Story being released around the same time is that it’s giving two examples to people who haven’t yet seen Scarlett’s true acting abilities. She’s been giving fantastic performances for decades, but people are still only realizing just now how incredible and talented she is. It’s heart warming to see her get all of this very well deserved praise for the two performances because she’s phenomenal.❤️
I feel like Lucy and The Prestige should've been here. However, I am so glad that people are finally appreciating her 'acting' more than her 'physique'. I love her💜

I first discovered her in girl with the pearl earring and was blown away since then- she can do romance, action, costume drama etc not just safe "damsel in distress" type roles that other actresses rely on.
