Lee Oswald's older brother said, that Lee never had a chance, once his dad was gone, because their mother was so screwed up in the head. Ok Simon, this was good! so now that you’ve done “the man who killed a president” how about you do a biographics on “the man who killed the assassin” or in other words: the guy who killed Oswald, cause that would be very interesting if you asked me!
My mom knew Jack Ruby. She said he was very well known in Dallas and had ties to the mafia. He also had just been diagnosed with terminal lung cancer right before he shot Oswald. He died before his trial. Those are all facts. Now for my moms thoughts. She said Kennedy had ties to the mafia as well which got him into office, the mafia thinking they could "run" things via JFK. But once in office he didn't play by the maffias rules. This pissed them off so they got Oswald to shoot him. Scared Oswald would rat them out they got Jack to off Oswald. Jack agreed because he was gonna die anyway of cancer.

@@rufust.firefly6744 * assassination And to nitpick, it's the prominence, title, or role of the target that makes it an assassination instead of a murder.
@@MosoKaiser in french penal law, assassination is different from murder in one aspect: an assassination is premeditated and planned, a murder is not. a serial killer is not an assassin, but a stalker is (if there's intent to kill). i think it's a bit more complicated in the american system, what with the degrees of murder. but iirc, first degree murder (premeditated) is a true assassination.
Assassin comes from the Arabic hasisin, they were murderers for hire( hitmen) that would get stoned out of their minds with hashish to do their dirty work.(hits on politicians or prominent figures.)
He was not a Marine sharpshooter, that implies he was a sniper. He earned the grade of marksmanship in the Marine Corps of sharpshooter. This is the medium qualification.
Seems you never earned any type of shooting qualification. Apparently you know nothing about firearms. The classifications are Marksman, Sharpshooter, Expert, Master. High Master. You know nothing.
The point is that he could shoot a rifle quite well, better than he needed to do to be considered up to the job of Marine. He wasn't specially trained as a sniper but then again he wouldn't need to be in order to have a go at shooting one or two men he wanted dead. His middling competence and training fit the lone loser gunman theory quite well. I can't help feeling that a super powerful conspiracy wouldn't be so messy and would have any patsy shoot himself through the roof of his mouth after appearing to be cornered rather than being shot on live television.
@@1952creswellThat is incorrect, he said he could qualify with his weapon but his statement said he couldn't make that shot. The FBI couldn't make that shot with that rifle, distance, and time.
I'm impressed... you actually got pictures of his apartment building in Minsk (09:34 shows his street, 10:05 appears to show the balcony of the apartment, which is adjacent to a TV tower these days). But as another former US Marine who spent time in Belarus (and also married a Linguistics University graduate named Marina), I have to say that the description of the country is rather unfair. It's certainly a very retro-Soviet country even today, the architecture is certainly very Stalin Imperial-esque, and politically the government is not the most progressive, but all that's not to say that you'd be lucky if you didn't see the country. The countryside in the north and west is quite green, the people are quite friendly to visitors, and they're at least trying to put together something for tourists to go see - even going so far as to provide options for Westerners to visit visa-free for periods under 30 days. I'm not sure it's a place to defect to, but it's not that ugly a place either. Granted, Prague is more picturesque, but do go see Minsk before knocking it. Nevertheless, elsewhere in the biography, interesting details. Given that "Sharpshooter" is actually the intermediate ranking for shooting expertise (between "Expert" - the top ranking, and "Marksman" - my ranking), it would make some kind of sense that he intended to hit Connally and missed, shooting Kennedy instead.
I remember it well. I can remember where I was when the news broke, on the grounds of my high school. "The President has just been shot!" we were told. "Who did it?" I asked. "Some fanatic!" was the reply. Later I found out he had died. We were called into the auditorium. The principal gave an account of what had happened and dismissed us to go hime. We did not have a working TV at the time. However I did have a radio. I caught Oswald being moved from City to county on my radio. It seemed that I heard and angry man yell and then a gun shot. The loudness of the shot caused a ringing sound like feedback over the microphone. "Oswald's been shot!" "He definitely has been shot!" Oswald died in about an hour. There was too much organ damage for him to survive.
I still have the hardest time believe that Oswald was the only single person involved in this assassination plot. I'm not saying that the CIA, Hoover and H. W. Bush were necessarily involved or even that Clay Shaw was involved even though things really seem to point in that direction. All I'm saying is that I have a very hard time believing that Oswald wasn't surveilled adequately by the FBI given his past and that he did this all by himself. Why have they never transferred Ruby to a prison out of Texas considering he said he'd explain what he knew about the conspiracy if they got him out of Texas. Why on earth does the government still keep certain files classified to this day even though they were supposed to release them all.......Plus, according to what has been declassified, Oswald was supposed to be on U.S.'s radar. Americans shouldn't accept the government keeping secrets from them just as they should not agree to detention camps imprisoning migrants including 100% legal asylum seeker and denying them basic needs therefore breaking international laws and human rights. Americans need to do better, this administration and everything they are hiding is shameful and their supporter need to ask for more.
Okay. As long as you can admit that it is at least possible for Oswald to pull off what he did, alone.... and that the Earth is round then I can accept it is possible Oswald had co conspirators
@@partysugar519 The chances Oswald Acted Alone are Less Than Zero! Do mindless Lone Nutters actually read anything beyond the surface? Such easily disproven conclusions?
The evidence all points to Oswald. The bullets that were recovered and struck Kennedy and Connolly traced back to Oswald's rifle. The rifle was found on the 6th floor of the book depository building with three spent cartridges and Oswald's palm print. Oswald went to work that day and when the police did a head count after the shooting, he was the only one missing. Oswald was found in a movie theater after he had shot officer Tippett, clearly he was on the run. He would be the last person on earth to work for the CIA, the mob, or the Russians. He was simply too unstable and unreliable and if he was an asset, he would have not been arrested after the fact. He was a miserable person searching for significance.
i always feel more sad because of things like him trying 3 times but she wouldn’t change her mind. there’s always a point where someone who does something so incredibly drastic has died mentally beforehand it seems, and i wish that never happened
Please do a biography on Peter Ortiz. He's probably the most interesting man in the world. He was an American that spoke a bunch of languages. During WWII he joined the French Foreign Legion to fight the Nazis. He later went back to the USA and joined the Marines and was sent to Europe to fight. He was one of just a few Marines to serve in Europe during WWII since most Marines were fighting in the Pacific. In Europe he was a OSS officer and conducted sabotage on Nazi troops.
Oswald was not a sharpshooter; he qualified as a marksman. On the other hand, I don't care if he could hit a penny from 10 miles away; that does not mean he killed JFK.
With all the JFK assassination documentaries I've seen, I have never heard the Connaly info before. Connaly was always presented as collateral damage. Is this Connaly angle new to anyone else? If he was obsessed with Connaly and JFK, what an opportunity the route through Dealey plaza presented. Who was the primary target? One or both?
Jack Ruby isn’t a hero. Sure Oswald deserved to die for his crime but Ruby prevented him from properly facing justice, a proper trial that could have been very illuminating. What Ruby denied us all was closure.
I grew up in Dallas & have been to the Texas theater, where Lee Harvey Oswald ran to. They have the seat he was in roped off, or did years ago when I went to actually watch a movie. When I was a teen in the 80's, it was still an active movie theater.
@@1952creswell true but some of the CIA MKultra theories have some serious credibility, such as when he was missing on record for 1 whols year after the CIA first made contact with him. You mean including the "facts"? And "the video in which we can clearly see the driver in the front seat kill Kennedy"? Yeah well that would be better than promoting a fairy tale like Oswald's.
@@jacobmortimore What happens when all those conspiracy theories conflict with each other. I guess we're supposed to "pick" one that sounds good and make it our favorite. Conspiracy theories with regards to the assassination are like brain candy. If you offer a child a plate of spinach or a Snickers bar, 99% of them will choose the candy. It's just no fun to accept the cold, hard evidence that the case is solved. Much more appealing to spend a lifetime of wondering.
@@1952creswell There was no conspiracy. All the conspiracy advocates have are a bunch of sound bites they string together to try to prove such. All the hard evidence points to LHO...period..
There only three ranks or badges earned on the shooting range: Marksman, Sharp shooter, and Expert. I received expert which I qualified by shooting 37 out of 40 moving Targets up to 300 meters away with out a scope. Thus, Oswald wasn't an expert shooter.
My mom knew Mr. Ruby through her work as a Night Desk Manager at a motel just outside of Downtown Dallas in North Oak Cliff. She regularly helped him set his "dancers" up with rooms (although not always allowed). She also arranged for him to get rooms for his shady business associates and there were arrangements for "dancers" to socialize with local politicians. Mom thought Mr. Ruby was a pimp who "talked too damn much" to be included in a conspiracy. My stepfather worked with Oswald at the School Book Depository. Through my stepfather and his co-workers Bonnie Ray Williams, Ed Shields and James Jarman I heard that Oswald didn't seem bright enough to be a part of any conspiracy.
My grandmother worked for Jack Ruby at his club in Dallas at this time, and she over heard him talking about how Oswald was going to squeal so they had to silence him.
Please do John J. Pershing. 6 Star General, the only living general to be given this rank. The only other person to receive this honor was George Washington. (Posthumously in 1976) He has an amazing story and I’d love to hear Biographics tell it!
Oswald was a patsy. he even said this on live Tv the day before he was killed. the two detectives he was handcuffed between looked to be stepping away from him as Ruby charged in when this was shown on Tv back then.
@@Sam2sham Possibly . . . probably . . . but we will never know what he meant when calling himself a patsy. Was he looking for a back door out of complicity? was he calling himself a KGB/CIA stooge? we will never know. don't get me wrong, Sam, i would just like to know what really happened. anyway, if you can do British comedy i suggest a viewing of Tickka to Ride in Season 7 of Red Dwarf. it is an interesting, perhaps thought provoking twist on this tragedy. and thanks, Sam, for offering a perspective that i did not consider.
When he said that he was pretty damn calm and composed! Did he seem nervous at all? For someone that just assassinated the president and shot him in the head and then murdered a police officer as well!!
And I’m not saying Oswald wasn’t involved because he obviously was, I am just not convinced he actually pulled the trigger! When I watch the footage of him saying “I’m just a pasty” he just seems so calm. And that’s the biggest clue of all the footage you watch. Is those 3 words he is saying he isn’t the only one involved in the assassination.
They were living with a woman in Huntsville, TX when a acquaintance of his wife called saying he could get a job at the book depository, shortly before the assassination.
Does anyone else notice how calm he seems at the police station after putting 2 bullets into the president and then killing a policeman right after!!! Seems very odd. Almost seems like he thought he was going to get off!

Lee Oswald's older brother said, that Lee never had a chance, once his dad was gone, because their mother was so screwed up in the head. LHO moved to NYC & went to high school there, which is probably why he never learned to drive, btw. Not everyone realizes, that he fled Dealy Plaza by non-chalantly taking a city bus.

Now for my moms thoughts. She said Kennedy had ties to the mafia as well which got him into office, the mafia thinking they could "run" things via JFK. He was not a Marine sharpshooter, that implies he was a sniper. He earned the grade of marksmanship in the Marine Corps of sharpshooter. This is the medium qualification.
And????
The sergeant who trained Oswald how to shoot testified that Oswald was more than capable of making that shot.
@@1952creswellThat is incorrect, he said he could qualify with his weapon but his statement said he couldn't make that shot. The FBI couldn't make that shot with that rifle, distance, and time.
24:31 “his eyes, bugging out of his head”
Me: his eyes are closed
Yeah the way he damaged Kennedy's Organs

Can I say it?
Okay. As long as you can admit that it is at least possible for Oswald to pull off what he did, alone.... and that the Earth is round then I can accept it is possible Oswald had co conspirators

@@vernpascal1531 .... Oswald did indeed act alone. If you can prove different I'm all ears.
