Cake candles are waaay brittle and weak. Melts easily. You can use mica powder and glue gun sticks, or crayon and glue gun sticks. They are more stronger and flexible. It's more of affordable student grade.
That's a good idea! I want to try this next time too!! If it's successful, That would be a good idea for people who can't get the sealing wax easily :) Using cake candles were a fun attempt to me because it's someone else's opinion😁

Yeah dont do mica powder. It only makes it shiny. But crayola and hot glue gun stick works with the right amounts!
@@flora7447 You can buy synthetic mica lmao. You don't need to buy the mined stuff. And there is eco-friendly reef-safe mica too, if that's a concern. Also mica isn't just for glitter, it comes in all the colours of the rainbow and then some.
But I agree that crayon is probably the much better way to go, for someone unused to handling mica. It's not dangerous when trapped in products, but it is dangerous when in loose powder form because it's not good for you if inhaled. And crayon is much cheaper too; better for experimentation 👍
When you are an adult but still needed an observe guardian because you have trust issues with yourself as an adult 🤣

What about crayons, they're made of wax and has more colour options. Maybe even add metallic/pearlescent/opalescent powder to give an effect.

🙈like the idea but the birthday candles are made with paraffin wax which is softer than bees wax. Check for a local bee keeper to you, and see if they sell their bee’s wax as well as honey and use that with crayons for colour as crayons are a better choice over birthday candles 🤗🤗 and with the added bees wax with the crayons for colour this will give you a better match to the stamping wax that you buy.
Loved the tutorial for making ones own stamp using UV resin that’s a great idea for making personalised stamps 🤗🤗🤗🤗

Hello! I know this video is a little old, but I wanted to say in the future if you use resin again please be careful, it is not very safe to touch with bare hands when it isn't hard and it many points in this video it looked like it hasn't hardened all the way 😅 otherwise this is a cute video! I've always wondered about ways to make custom seals like this, though I feel like this method looks like a lot of work (and silicone!)

Do not use candle wax. It is brittle and also will get stuck inside your pretty stamper, and have to be scraped out tediously. The sealing wax is special, it has specific ingredients that make it work the way it does.

그 글루건에 흰색 넣어서 불투명하게 해주고 색소랑 펄 넣으면 대충 왁스랑 비슷한 느낌으로 나올거에요! 꽃 같은거 위에 글루건으로 투명하게 찍는 것들도 많았거든요:)

It would seem cheaper to just use the wax beads for the seals rather than birthday candles. At least here in the US, the candles are more expensive.
Little bit of hot glue mixed w crayon works very well!! Try different amounts to find what's right
You can also add pearl powders!

I tried it with regular red candle and a 1 pound coin before, its not easy at 1st, but if u get the timing, then it'll be easy. But be careful cause the coin is hot.

If you ever do use wax sealing beads, get some labled Vegan off etsy as they won't have a chemical odor when you melt them. Plus they are SO much easier to work with.
