    I charge based on company size. 25% of their marketing budget. I don't ask for the budget, i assume it. Average marketing budget should be about 8 to 12% of annual revenue. A business with several employees should be bringing in at least 300k. So that's 6k to start for a 10 page site. No eCommerce. That's extra.

    Another insightful video Payton!
    Would you say that productizing your design services is an effective way to combat the ambiguity surrounding pricing?
    It requires you to consider all the factors you shared and settle on a price, which you can then revisit every 3 or 6 months and readjust as needed.

    I created a custom made website that has a headless cms for image gallery and showcasing their upcoming events that leads to their ticket system. For 2k euro, took me a month (could do now quicker + is my first actual project). It also has custom animations added with gsap. How much would've you charged it for @Payton ? Or anyone else? • @Koyasi78
      @Koyasi78 8 месяцев назад

      Consider this. If you wanted to make clear 100k annually you world have to do near 30 sites PER MONTH. At 50k annual that's 15 closed and complete sites per month.
      Not to mention the sales leads you need to go through to close 15 to 30 per month and the time that takes.
      You'll run yourself into the ground for little to no money.
      Charge more. Add a 0 to the end of that price.

    Hundreds of web design door hangers distributed everywhere for...1 lukewarm lead. Meanwhile, a small number of car service door hangers = phone blowing up. Clearly, web designers aren't desperately needed.
