Thank you so much for this audiobook! Wonderful to listen to one (three!) of my favorite books as I go about my day. Just one thing---I've always thought that Tolkien could surely have come with something better than "Praise them with great praise!" Especially as it's the triumphant ending & they totally saved the world---something a bit more eloquent? Anyway, it what it is & I so appreciate the zillions of hours you must have put into this!
54:47 Chapter 3: Mount Doom 1:46:31 Chapter 4: The Field of Cormallen 2:18:53 Chapter 5: The Steward and the King 3:07:22 Chapter 6: Many Partings 3:57:10 Chapter 7: Homeward Bound 4:22:08 Chapter 8: The Scouring of the Shire 5:32:01 Chapter 9: The Grey Havens 6:04:49 The End
Excellent reading but why is the rest of LOTR not here? We only have The Return of the King. The superb narrator Robert Inglis recorded the whole thing in 1990 and sadly died in 2021 (Google gives a lot of info about how he prepared for it). I am now on the hunt for the rest of his narration.
The reader is excellent, the story par none, so very excellent!
Agreed!
He's the best reader of this by far
