    Thank you for this!
I'm not a martial artist, just a nurse and amateur herbalist.
A friend gave me some Dit Da Jow a few months ago, and I was so obsessed w how well it worked for arthritis and muscle pain that I had to make my own recipe. I just made a trip to Chinatown in San Fran to procure my herbs from a Chinese apothecary. It was such an exciting experience! They seemed excited whilst filling my order! I got enough to make 3 gallons, and I was only out US$80.😍
The herbs smell so good; can't wait to concoct....

Forgive me but may I make a suggestion or two?
Firstly, I'm a long time martial artist and a TCM therapist.
A fair bit of experience in both fields.
Can I suggest a few herbs to remove from your recipe for two reasons; 1. Safety 2. The following herbs are for ingestion in action rather than surface absorption. Su Mu, Er Cha, Ding Xiang, Ban Xia, Mu Xiang, Hui Xiang and Tan Xiang. Especially the last one can be very detrimental to certain people, health conditions. On my channel there is a couple of videos that cover a Dit Da Jow that you can make and there are warnings too. Just a thought.

Great video.I've used similar before when training but have been told this may be bad for the liver. I'm sure your herbalist knows his stuff but do you have any info on some of the potential toxins used in other formulas?

2:58 Xue Jie? This is Ji Xue Teng brother 😅 IMO this is way too much herbs for the alcohol quantity. You could have easily made gallons with the quantity of herbs you got there.

Should steep for at least 6 months. My teacher gave me some that was 10 years old. Longer the better.
