I am a dancer and I dance and workout for more than five hours a day, I also do sports and other things throughout the day pushing my self to be more fit. My sister thinks I might get chronic pain if I continue to do this without breaks, so when i found this video i was ready to have an entire day break tomorrow and preferably every weekend, and rest my body. Thank you!

Ice bath is pointless unless it’s immediately after the game. After half an hour you want hot water. Cold water immediately is good to aid recovery and stop swelling, later is just going to tighten and stiffen your muscles

ProgressiveSoccer, do you have any advice if you are on a team and your not happy, I want to join another team but that's not till next season but I don't want to wait. It's a good team but I'm frustrated with the coach and favoritism forwards others. I play defense but want to attack cause that's my strength. I have to literally play both center backs cause the coaches nephew who is chunky and obese and can't run stays behind me. He's like handicapped. Also, my coach doesn't even speak English so at halftime or anytime he doesn't say anything to me except play hard. He also does like one or two random drills and that's it, then we scrimmage. I'd prefer joining my friends team and we could grow together.

Rest as much as possible. Ice them and you can use a tennis ball to roll your calves. It will hurt so don't over do it. All you can do is rest and when your shins are better, do not overdo your training. Meaning that you can't go 100% or you will hurt your muscles again and you will take even more time off. So when you get back to training, start light and you will eventually get back to your level.
