  • Could this be the year that Texas goes blue? The state is at a tipping point. Latinos will outnumber white residents in Texas by 2022, while other communities of color continue to grow. Voter suppression, which mostly affects those communities, has been seen by some as a Republican strategy to stay in power. We meet the volunteers on the ground who are working to help their communities get out to vote. For volunteer Victor Ibarra, “It really is a matter of life and death.” This election is expected to have historic rates of turnout, and this massive voting bloc has the power to determine its outcome.
